Clara couldn't stop herself from glaring at the man who had refused to unlock the door.

She tried all she could not to have her heart melt by his look right now, but it was a difficult task because it's not everyday one get to see a cold man like Xavier trying to act cute by pouting his lips like a child holding on to his mother's shirt with his big eyes begging for a bar of chocolate but the almighty CEO wouldn't beg,he was ready to keep her inside the car with him until God knows when.

Helpless, Clara didn't know whether to laugh at how childish he was acting or cry because of how shameless he had become in such a short span of time.

" Looks like you really don't have an idea of what to do next, I will be kind enough to teach you." Xavier said this very righteously like he was a good citizen helping another citizen, still seeing how words didn't ease the situation he exhaled deeply,' my little wife is still far from being romantic.'

"You've forgotten something very important, my goodbye kiss. " Tapping his cheek he said before moving his face closer to her.

" Mr Rey," she called through her teeth,to have him look up at her with a furrow, " did you realize how shameless you've become?, I mean for someone who is going to be a father soon, you should more reasonable and even talk less because of this,NO KISS!"

"She retorted, struggling to unlock the damn car.

" No kiss? " he asked in disbelief,in all her speech,her refusal to kiss him was the only thing that caught his attention, how can she deny him his kiss because of his shamelessness?.

" Exactly. " she confirmed.

" Fine by me, you don't know how much I've missed you."

" W..what are you doing?" She ask in terror, even though she could swore she knows exactly what he was doing, she hope she ended up wrong,

He didn't answer her questions until he was satisfied with his work,he stared at her position now with a taunting smirk. " Since we'll be spending the night here, which I think is even more romantic, I wouldn't want your back to ache because of your sitting position, this should be better. "

He started lowering his own seat to make it comfortable to lay on, it was then it was drawn on Clara that the dude wasn't buffing, he is damn serious.

Reluctantly she moved closer to him raining endless curse at him but of course it was in her mind, she planted a quick kiss on his both cheek, she was ready to withdraw but he caught sight of Alex who just stepped out of the gate and a silly smile appeared in his cold face as he exclaimed, " now this is more like my wife,my turn. " he declared, Clara was about letting him know that there was no need for him to return the kiss since she wasn't even interested in it to begin with but, her own kiss didn't come instead,he cupped her round stomach and crooked his neck to place a kiss on it, she immediately felt her heartbeat increase by hundred fund,as her cheeks turned pink, why is he being like this?

One minute she feels like she is the most important thing in his world but in the next he will make her feel worthless and unworthy of his love. She doesn't want to remain this confused forever, she won't fall for this again, this time since he won't be leaving the country she will leave instead.

She was caught up in her thoughts that she didn't see it coming until she felt him captured her soft lips with his warm ones in a slow passionate kiss, when he noticed that her mind was somewhere else,he mischievously bite her bottom lips earning a soft moan from her lips, slowly her body started responding as she returned his kiss trying to catch up with his pace, allowing herself to slowly fell into the moment which will end up a beautiful memories in her mind.

Meanwhile, Alex witnessed all this, thanks to a certain someone who lowered his side of the window.

Alex just got back from work but on getting home she was nowhere to be found, he wanted to call but he was worried that what happened last time would repeat itself again and what he didn't want now was hearing the taunting words that man would have prepared for him.

He ran out to wait for her when she didn't return even after he finished preparing dinner, only for him to witness this, he felt pain string his chest as if his heart was being pulled out, the pain was very unbearable he had to support his body by leaning on the wall, this is the very height of it, he did all he could to make her his but time and time again she choose him even though he brings her nothing but pain.

Running inside he picked up his phone and dialed a number his chest couldn't contain his anger, he has done alot for her just what is in that man that he doesn't have in him?, why can't she look at him like that even once?, he thought the bastard was gone for good but he just had to come running back and she immediately ran back into his arms forgetting everything he did to her.

" Good afternoon Dr..... " a cheerful feminine voice was about to greet him but he stole words right from the speaker's mouth .

" Just shut the fuck up!!, What so good about the afternoon?, I never expect you to be this useless that you couldn't even keep your man in check!, you are just too useless, god dammit!!,he swore , you better look for ways to get him out of my property this instant. " he ordered,he was very Furious that there was no trace of the gentle Dr Qin, he was like a different person, but the other person wouldn't want to be blamed for someone else incompetence.

" Is it that I can't keep him or you can't seem to make her love you and forget him? , even if he doesn't love me, he would do anything to make me happy as long as I mentioned it even if it means him marrying me right under her nose, but don't worry he will be signing the divorce paper and send it to her in no time , that will be my gift to you but how you will use it is up to you. "

" I hope you are not just ranting, because if I can't have her, he won't and I will also be dragging you down with me, understand? " he hung up, smashing the phone on the floor in anger.

The two inside the car stopped to catch their breathing, it was as if they just ran a marathon.

Pure passion could be seen in their eyes as they looked at each other lovingly, they were like a couple who are madly in love for a long time and that love remains strong.

" Take care of yourself and our baby , okay? and be a good girl and move out of that man's house, like I said I will design that house to your taste it's safer over there, and you { touching her stomach} be good and don't give momma a hard time, okay?, daddy will come for you both" as if he understood what was being said the baby move," that's my girl " Clara was speechless never in her wildest imaginations did she picture the scene before her , he was like a different person a caring husband and a loving father,or was this another dream of hers .

A phone started ringing, cutting short such a beautiful moment.

" Hello, " his voice was so soft that she didn't need anyone to tell her who was on the other line, the smile on her face fell. She was a fool to think that he would change, to think that he would abandon his first love for her.

" Our baby wants to eat its favorite sandwich."Came Glory's childish voice, Clara could even picture her cute face because she always uses this voice on her whenever she wants a favor.

" Okay I'm on my way now, I will go get it for you, anything else you will equally want me to add?"he inquired with a small smile.

"Oh, nothing for now. " she replied.

"I'll be back soon, oh, I went to see a friend,he answered only to have her glare at him but he placed his palm on her head and started smoothing her hair like the way he will pet a little kid.

A friend, she's now just a friend, why was he behaving like a cheating husband, she was the legal wife here, if she refused to sign a divorce, Glory's baby will be illegitimate, why does he have to hide when coming to see her.

He disconnected the call " sorry I need to go now, it Flora, she needs some.... "

" Did I ask?, Since her baby needs it favorite sandwich,mine want to get the fu*k outta here this instant!," She yelled "what are you still doing looking at me OPEN THE DOOR!! " She was so furious that she wanted to vomit blood. Seeing how worked up she was now, he quickly opened the door and she stepped out, not forgetting to slam the door as loud as she could. " Goodbye and see you never again! " Even if it means giving up on her work she will do just that and travel far from here. This place has given her nothing but enough pain to last her two lifetimes .

He hit his fist on the wheel as he watched her Walk into the black gate , this was not what he wanted, just a few minutes ago they just finished expressing their love but now… ' I'm sorry,' he mumbled before driving off.

On stepping into the house, Clara was shock out of her wit on seeing Alex lying motionlessly on the cold floor, she panicked all her worries quickly pushed to the back of her mind , what wrong with him why is he on the floor?, She slowly moved the back of her palm towards his forehead on coming in contact with his skin, she hurriedly retract her hand he was burning up.

" he must have passed out because of the fever, she was really a bad person he has been the one looking after her all this while, she never cared about him, forgetting that he is also a human, her life is messed up, she, still have feelings for someone who doesn't care about her,,on the other hand she was hurting the very person who will do anything to make her smile, she needs to leave and stop all this maybe he will find someone who is worth of his love and attention once she isn't around him.

"Alex you are burning up, let me take you to the hospital. " She tried carrying him up but she couldn't. She needed to get help ," aunty, let me call aunty and uncle," referring to his mom and dad. She stood up to fetch his phone but he grabbed her hand.

"Please don't leave me , Angle, Angle please don't leave me like this, I won't be able to live without you, I love you , can't you see that, even if you don't have the same feeling for me, please stay with me let me take care of you and the baby, I'm not asking for much. " she watched him talk in his sleep.

" Alexander Qin, you are really stupid and selfless, can't you be selfish for once?"

He only wants to see her baby, to take care of her and her baby , which other man will do that not even her own husband who asked her to abort her baby thinking it was someone else child while this man knowing it's not his, still wanted to take care of her and her child, where else can she find such a man, but it was such a pity that she doesn't deserve him, she won't be selfish he deserves someone who will return his feelings, she cleaned her tears and run into the kitchen to get a blow of cold water and a clean towel .

When he noticed that she was no longer by his side the man lying motionlessly on the floor opened his eyes, he loved her alot to let go even if he had to give up on his life he would do just that.....

When he heard footsteps he hurriedly closed his eyes.
