On hearing the painful scream coming from the studio, Ms Lola made her way down the stair,

"Clara ma'am, Clara ma'am,are you alright?" She questioned as she panicky took two steps at a time, the closer she got to the studio the louder the mournful cry, she kicked the door open only to see Clara using a hand to support her waist and the other hand grab a nearby chair tightly for support.

" Lola, please call the driver,the baby,

my baby is coming, I can feel it down here. " Clara was all sweaty, she has never experienced anything this painful but she knows this is just the tip of an ice block, she's yet to push her baby out.

She tried walking to the door but her steps were heavy along with the pain she is now experiencing, her face has turned pale.

Lola was inexperienced but that doesn't mean she didn't know what was happening, with trembling hands she punched in a few digits on her phone, calling for help.

"Hello, get the car prepared, madam is in pain and we need some assistance, please make it snappy."

She went to stand at Clara's right hand, placed her {Clara}hand around her shoulder while she wrapped her own hand around her waist, as she struggled to help her walk to the door.

Fortunately before they got to the door,the young driver came to their aid, without wasting time he picked Clara up and hurried to the exit, leaving Lola behind.

Ryan who have been in the country for two weeks,was about stepping out of the hotel he lounged, when his phone rang,on confirming the caller's ID he answered

" What's... "

" we're heading to the hospital. I will text you the address once we get there,her water just broke."

"What! Broke?, how?" This was his first time hearing this,so he was confused,was Clara carrying water?.

"Clara ma'am is in labor, this is the perfect way for you two to meet but I don't know how you will do it, anyway I have to go." With that the call was disconnected even though Ryan still had things to say.

He ran back to his suite, he grabbed a few things he might be needing as he dashed out again, before he stepped out of the main hall his phone dinged,he unlocked it, to see the address Lola sent.

Not long after he arrived at the hospital, Lola was already waiting for him, on seeing him, she bowed.

" How is she?" He asked taking long strides past her, Lola who couldn't catch up ended up running after him as she answered his questions.

"The doctors are still operating on her."

" You are not planning to meet her like this, are you?"she asks, glaring at her boss.

" What is your plan,then?" Ryan, who is desperate to reunite with his niece and grandchildren, doesn't have enough strength in him to argue with his annoying worker; he was ready to follow whatever idea she tabled before him.

{Few minutes later}

Ryan sat down glaring at Lola who was having a good time seeing him covered with bandages.

"Here, try walking with this," she said, handing him an alpenstock, even though he wanted to protest. Ryan knew better than to keep mute.

Lola has always been like this, that was one of the reasons why he's comfortable having Clara stay with her.

After making sure her plan will be convincing enough, Lola left her grumpy boss to inquire how Clara is.

Her heart skipped a beat when she heard the loud cry of a baby, she quickened her steps.

"Lola ma'am, madam is a strong woman, she finally made it!" Mark, the driver, couldn't contain his happiness as he excitedly broke the news to Lola.

"Of course she is!" Lola was also excited.

Not long after she made that statement, the red light on the operating theater turned green,a male doctor that looked to be in his late 50s stepped out with a smile.

" Congratulations, ma'am the mother and her babies are all healthy, it was a safe delivery. "The doctor was all smiles, since he started working as a doctor, this was the first time a patient of his gave birth to not just one but more than two, even though it was a tough journey, it ended successfully.

" Babies?!"

" How many are there? " Lola was completely dumbfounded, although she was really happy but she's more surprised by the word "babies" Clara's baby bump wasn't that big how come she has babies in there.

" Oh pardon me ma'am, it's a set of triplets , two adorable boys and a cute angel, just like her mom, you can go take a look but, I will suggest you wait for some time since there are too exhausted and have fallen asleep. " he politely suggest before leaving the scene.

" Isn't it time?I can't wait anymore, I want to come over. " Ryan's voice brought Lola back to reality immediately she realized that he had been on call listening to their conversation, she angrily disconnected the call without a second thought.

"Tsk, you think you are smart, this will be your punishment."

"Lola, you can't do this to me I just became a grandpa, you should at least show some respect. " he murmured pitifully to himself.

" Wow!I'm so happy, this calls for a celebration, right? I just became a godmother, Mr Mark, please call the landline, tell Grandma to make a delicious meal for her, and ask the maid to decorate the house. "Lola instructed her driver.

"Sir, you can't go in like this, the president went on a business trip." The secretary, sounded very rude and impatient, this was not the first time, this person is doing this neither was it the second, for the past two-week, this has been the scene every worker in Davis Enterprise had to witness, after complaining to their ceo, the security team were instructed not to allow this person in, but today he came all prepared.

Xavier, only stopped in front of Ryan's office, when he saw for himself that it was indeed locked. Truthfully one only knows the value of what they have once they lose it, he's a living testimony of that statement, when that son of a bitch informed him that he has Clara , he channeled all his attention on him, leaving this bastard out of the game.

Until of recent, when Ezekiel informed him that his men lost Clara to another idiots, after considering the fact that it was only him and Alex who has been desperately trying to find Clara, her sweet uncle haven't made any attempt to search for her or even confront him, Xavier concluded that Ryan had a hand on the sudden disappearance of his family, but it was already late the son of a gun was no longer in the country.

He left a kick on the door, before walking past the secretary,who heaved a sigh of relief, she watched him fished out his phone, trying to call someone but the call kept being forwarded.

Turning to face her,he stretched out his hand.

"Mr Rey,wh….what.. Do you want sir." Startled, the young woman took double steps backward.

Instead of answering her question, Xavier roughly pulled her to her table, ignoring the other workers videoing his display of madness.

Tony, could swear that these two months have been a living hell to him, he's no longer the man he used to be, since Clara's disappearance, his life along with his boss's have been miserable.

"I assure you guys that your lifes won't remain the same if a clip of what's happening here should make it online."even though the warning doesn't sound serious, the poor workers know better,they all brought down their phone, instead one of them sent it to Ryan, so that he see for himself what his rival has turned his company into.

Ryan was not smiling after watching the short clip one of his secretaries sent to him, he expected nothing less from Xavier, that was why he blacklisted his number.

" Give him the phone," he instructed immediately he received a call from the office, he already knew Xavier had been trying to reach him.

"You bastard!" Xavier roared, wishing Ryan was here,he would have had a word or two with him.

"Xavier, my reply still remains the same, I can only tell you that you are now a father, this is what I can do for you right now, she doesn't want to have anything to do with you or me, it's better you respect her decision this time, you brought this upon yourself, don't push your luck, I may sue you next time."

These two have never been in a good team to begin with, so even though he gave him this information, he made sure his words were rude.

But Xavier isn't having any of this shit

" She is fine?!" He scoffed mockingly at him,"Is this how your family treat their in-laws?, It's her first time and you idiots allowed her gave birth alone and there you are telling me that she's fine , I'm now a father, should I start jumping and celebrating because of the news?, for the last time, where's my wife and child you bastard! "

Ryan could hear his workers screaming at the background and sound of things being smashed.

" Why did you stop ,go ahead and destroy more? Maybe she will be happy with you when she finds out about your actions today. What have you done for her , all this time? You only bring her nothing but pain!Now, when she makes a decision for herself, you find it hard to accept ."

When he heard this , Xavier became very weak, he really failed her, maybe that's why she contacted her family and not him.

All he asked for was just another chance and he promised never to make her cry, not even a tear he would be good to her and their baby, he ended up being the last to know that she was carrying his child .

Now he's also the last to know that she has put to bed, the price he has to pay was too much, he has done everything he could to mend his ways, changed everything back at the mansion to her taste but that place was no longer a home without her.

God has really played a huge game with him, he thought he could protect her from afar but he ended up losing her.

He didn't know how or when he got home that night, but it appeared to be another long night for him.

He sat alone with the piano and composed a song for his new born child THEIR CHILD, HIS GIFT OF LOVE from the woman he never took notice of.
