Once Colt and Holly returned to the barn, the group went back to taking group photos. The men posed as if they were in wrestling promos, frowning, and trying to butch it up.
Candy put her arm on Mia’s shoulder, “These are some ugly-looking chicks. Let’s pretty this up.”
She grabbed Mia, and the girls stood in front making silly faces. The next photos were of them trying to look sexy next to the guys.
Holly stood brooding in the corner as she watched her family gushing over Mia.
Isis stomped over, yanking her cousin’s arm to force her to join in. “Get over here! Stop being such a brat.”
“Fine.”
Finally, once Holly joined in, the group was laughing and having fun while the camera on the tripod snapped images on auto. In the last set of photos, the guys picked up the girls, putting them on their shoulders or hips, posed in typical wrestling poses.
After the photos, Mia went over and pulled Cyrus’s face down to hers to snuggle him. “This was all a prank to see if you guys would go along with it.”
“You’re low key diabolical, but too dang cute to say no to.” Cyrus nuzzled her neck.
Holly rolled her eyes. “Trust me. I can say no.”
Cyrus flipped his middle finger at his sister and kissed Mia on the neck. She snuggled into him with a soft giggle.
Gage and Wraith looked grossed out at the display of affection, and Gage laughed, pointing at them. “If that were two chicks, this would be hot. But dude, stop making out with her. It’s just creepy with your hairy ass legs sticking out under that dress. It’s like a hot chick making out with Bigfoot’s ugly sister.”
Mia laughed as Cyrus gave her a side hug. “You’re just jealous that I’m prettier than you. So, ladies, can we get out of this crap now?”
Mia shook her head yes.
Wraith piped in, “Thank God. We must get some beer and head back to the lake. I need to bond with my inner Neanderthal and build that bonfire. It may take all week to get my man card back.” He went over to Mia, leaning down to point in her face. “If it wasn’t for the fact you’re Cyrus’ girl, and it’s your birthday, I would take you out in the woods and feed you to a bear.” He hugged her with a chuckle and kissed the top of her head.
“But Wraith, you look so pretty. You have the best outfit, and your boobs look fabulous.” Mia snickered as she squeezed his stuffed bra.
Wraith rubbed his beard and flaunted around with a sassy wave of his hips. “I do look pretty.”
Cyrus just laughed. “You look like the bearded lady at a freak show.”
“Hey! Bearded ladies need love too.”
Lilly reached over and smacked Wraith’s ass. “You look sexy, baby. I’d do you?”
Wraith rubbed his chest and licked his lips, teasing his wife. “Like this do ya, babe. I got more for ya later.”
Colt grabbed Holly’s hand. “I’m taking my wife and getting out of here. This is getting creepy. I feel like this is going to end up on some weird-ass reverse roleplay orgy or something.”
Holly pulled him out of the barn. “Good. I’m over this stupid shit, anyway. Come on!”

After the group changed into their regular clothes, they headed back to the lakeside. Isis and Gage left their girls with their nanny back at the main house so she could put them to bed early after a long day. He had gotten his wife a nanny when they found out they were having a third child to take off some stress. Regardless of the extra help, Isis was still a momma bear and a wonderful mother.
On the way to the lake, Holly walked past Mia and shoulder-checked her while passing by.
Almost making it to the fire pit, Mia walked up to Holly asking, “What the hell? What was that for?”
“Problem, cupcake?”
“Yes. Why are you being mean to me?”
Holly pretended to pout and mock her. “Boo Hoo. Why are you being mean to me? I’m so innocent. Blah. Blah. Blah.” Holly rolled her eyes and turned away. “Fucking fake whore.”
“What did you call me?” Mia stepped up as everyone turned back to see what was going on.
Cyrus froze in place. This was his worst nightmare and Holly was going to ruin everything for him. “Holly. Don’t. Please?”
“Shut up, Cyrus. You heard me, cupcake. What are you going to do about it? I’m one badass bitch you --”
“... Don’t want to mess with. Yeah. I’ve heard your lame tagline before. I don’t buy it. I think you’re just a scared, angry girl with a bad attitude. You’re a bully.”
Holly went toe-to-toe with Mia, towering over the woman. “What are you going to do about it? Come on, cupcake. Try me. You think I’m going to back down just because you’re fucking my brother?”
“I… we aren’t... Cyrus is a total gentleman. He never even...”
Cyrus stepped in between them. “Holly, that’s enough! Stop acting like a child.”
“Don’t tell me what to do, Cy. She’s just trying to get at your money like every other bimbo you’ve ever been with.”
“That’s not true. Mia’s not like that. She’s a good person.”
“She’s a prissy little poser. She doesn’t have the balls to be part of Doom. Little Mia looks like she should be home baking cookies and talking to her dolls. You ass-clowns are crazy if you think she’s going to join Doom for this new gimmick. Look at her. She couldn’t even lace up our ring boots.”
Mia stepped aside, moving Cyrus as she went. She didn’t need him to defend her. “Is that what this is about? You don’t want me to manage Doom?”
“Of course, it is. You’re not family and you sure as hell can’t hold your own with us. You don’t belong here.”
“I care about Cyrus. He asked me to come this weekend and wanted me to join Doom. I can fight in the ring and prove myself if that’s what this is about.”
“Yeah, right. What about a real fight? You look like you’d be too worried about breaking a nail or messing up your hair. My brothers and I are real fighters. I could whip your ass with my hands tied behind my back.” Holly gave a smug laugh and walked toward the lake. "Go back to the salon where you belong."
“Why are you such a bitch to everyone?”
Holly turned back in a flash. “What did you call me?”
“A bitch.”
Holly’s husband Colt rushed to stop this mess. He knew first hand Holly hated being called that.
Before he reached his wife, Holly had already swung to hit Mia. In a split second, Mia ducked, moved, and pushed Holly into a rear neck chokehold. Everyone was in shock as Mia held Holly in submission. Even though Mia’s face showed shock and fear, her body was ready to defend herself. Even she couldn’t believe she had reacted so quickly.
“Let me go, you heifer!”
Holly wrestled around, trying to break free. Once she did, Holly turned to Mia to try once more to hit her. Mia was standing in a self-defense position, and as soon as Holly swung, Mia punched her in the face and knocked Holly back a few steps.
Holly shook off the hit, looking at Mia in utter disbelief. She moved around, ready to strike again.
Mia stayed frozen in her position, ready to defend herself if she had to. She was shaking so hard from fear her teeth rattled. As soon as Holly went to punch again, Mia hit her in the face, harder this time, making Holly fall flat on her back. Mia barely moved from her spot as she threw the punches, swinging like a prized fighter.
With a gasp, Cyrus looked back and forth between the women with wide eyes. He didn’t know what to do or think. How could this be happening?
Cyrus and everyone around stood with mouths agape with a collective gasp. Seeing Holly laying on the ground and rubbing her jaw, no one could believe it. Only Wraith, Colt, and Cyrus had ever gotten control over the firebreathing rabble-rouser. Here was five-foot-two Mia, who just knocked the Holly flat on her ass. A woman at least a half foot shorter and far less strength put her in her place.
Out of the sound of silence, Wraith said, “Damn. Short-stuff has some moves.”
“Son of a bitch, that hurt!” Holly shifted her jaw to make sure everything was okay.
Mia remained in a defensive position. With her fist raised like a boxer, she was ready to fight. Her eyes were wide with fear and about to cry, trembling uncontrollably as she whimpered softly.
Holly laid out like a starfish on the ground completely defeated, as everyone stood in shock. Looking at Mia she was dumbstruck. Nothing but the sound of crickets and the bonfire cracking broke the silence in the air.
Suddenly, Holly started laughing uncontrollably and Mia looked at Cyrus with confusion. What was going on?
Cyrus just shrugged as he watched his sister's belly laughing on the ground.
“Damn, cupcake. You have a mean right jab.”
Holly rubbed her chin and sat up. As Holly stood, dusting herself off, Mia stepped behind Cyrus to avoid any more conflict. The doom sister walked over and stuck out her hand to shake Mia’s.
Isis just shook her head in annoyance. “My cousin is an idiot.”
“Relax, cupcake. You have some big man-sized lady nuts to swing at me like that. Everyone I know is scared shitless of me. Way to stand your ground.”
Mia slowly stepped from behind Cyrus with her lip quivering. She had never been in a real fight before. “Are you going to hit me?”
“Nah. You got my respect, cupcake.”
Cyrus rolled his eyes, turning away from the drama to look at the bonfire. He was so mad he needed to step away before he kicked his sister’s ass himself. “Unbelievable. Mia should have beat the shit out of you. You’re such a brat sometimes, Holly.”
Holly just shrugged it off as if it was no big deal. “Whatever. She’s a bad bitch. I like it. So, cupcake. You really care for my brother?”
“Yes. I really do. I’m not trying to step on your toes with Doom, Holly. I really look up to you and your brothers and was always a huge fan. I just wanted you to like me and be part of something special.”
Holly scrunched up her nose as she rubbed her chin. “Well, if you fight for my brother the way you just did against me, I guess I can give you a chance. Don’t mess it up or I’ll be coming for you.”
Cyrus scoffed. “That would be a stupid move, dumbass. She already stomped your ass. Take your losses and move on.”
Holly just rolled her eyes and turned her focus to Mia with a sassy smirk.
“Holly?”
“Yep?”
“Please don’t call me cupcake. It hurts my feelings. People used to call me that in school because of my weight.”
Holly knew what it was like being bullied. It was the reason she had her anger issues in the first place. She rushed over grabbing Mia a side hug, giving her noogie playfully. “No problem. I’m sorry. Now, let’s roast some hotdogs and s’mores. I’m hungry.”
“You’re a weird chick.”
Holly just giggled. “You have no idea.”
Holly turned to see her husband glaring at her with arms crossed over his chest. “Didn’t we talk about fighting?”
“Sorry, baby. I just thought…”
“I know what you thought. You thought Mia was trying to come between you and your brothers That’s clearly not the case. If we plan on trying to have a baby, you need to work on anger issues. Got it?”
“Yes. I’m sorry, Colt.”
Colt winked at her with a frustrated sigh. “I love ya, you crazy woman.”
Wraith tilted his head. “Baby?”
Colt nodded. “Don’t worry. We have a plan. Holly wants to wait a year so she can live out her dream of being with Doom. After that, we are going to try again to start a family.”
Mia smiled. “That’s nice. Good luck, Holly.”
“Thanks. For hitting me in the face, you have babysitting duty.”
Mia giggled. “You swung at me. You --”
Holly interrupted, throwing up her hands. “Now. Now. Now. Let’s not bring up the past. Let’s just agree that we are all friends here.”
Mia shook her head. “All the stories are true. You are one crazy girl. I like it.”
Holly winked at her and pulled her arm through Mia’s. “We are going to be good friends, short stuff.”
Cyrus just rolled his eyes as he shoved a marshmallow in his mouth. “Unbelievable.”
