Chapter 10 Preteens
“Precious grows so fast; who wouldn't think she will become this stunning lady,” Lian praised her, and she liked it.
I notice she looks at Kier, who's busy preparing our meal.
“Come. Let's continue the chit-chat here. Let's eat lunch.” My mother-in-law said.
“Ah, I’m hungry,” brother Z said.
Then his cousin came. We settle on our seats, and Kier is between us.
My husband is putting a dish on my plate while the Precious name is putting dishes on Kier’s plate.
“Try this; this is healthy,” Ken said, putting veggies on my plates.
Precious talks to everyone and lively answers their questions, but she keeps including my husband in their conversation.
“When will you get married?” grand Lo asked her.
“Kier’s already married.”
Kier offers me a drink.
“Do you want water?” Kier asked me.
“I’m okay,” I answered Kier; my husband continuously checks on me.
“Me! I want water. Can I have it?” Precious asked my husband, but the one who gave her water was brother Z.
“How can I get married, Lo? I don't have a boyfriend, and I didn’t know Kier would tie the knot.” Precious said, and she looked at me, trying to say something.
Grandpa laughs.
“He should, or else I won’t give him what he has been asking,” I wasn't sure what grandpa gave us, but he gave us a present for our wedding.
“Why her? I am here. She can marry me,” she volunteers, and everyone looks at her in disbelief.
“Stop dreaming, sissy, you are his childhood friend, but it doesn't mean you are his type,” Layla pranked her, and grandpa laughed.
“You had been away for years, and you are still assuming,” Z said, and Precious was acting like she was trying to punch him.
Uncle V is just silent, and the kids have their topic.
“Don’t you like onions?” Kier was looking at my plate when he said that.
I nodded at him.
“I don't like this red thing too; it's spicy,” I complained.
Kier chuckled sexily and got them away from my plates.
“This red thing is called saffron, this is Spanish spices, and these are expensive, and it used for asthma, indigestion, joint pain, cough, and many to mention,” he explains while getting them all.
“You should eat a lot of veggies,” Kier added and put veggies on my plate.
“Saffron is not spicy,” Precious interrupted.
“Kier, when will you give me a grandson?” grandpa asked, and I choked, and Kier immediately gave me water.
“Yuck!” I look at Z when he reacts to something and wipes his clothes.
“Precious, you are dirty! Gross!” he complains,
Layla laughed at him, and Z glared at her. Precious split her water.
“We’re working on it,” Kier answered thoughtfully.
“Oh, m g! Brother baby girl!” Layla excitedly asks.
“Layla, they don’t have the power what will be the gender of their baby,” Uncle V said, and the other women laughed at Layla.
“Hmph! And you uncle ugly, when is your plan to have a girlfriend?”
Brother V sips on his coffee. It seems he's avoiding the questions.
“Vicenzo, forget about her,” Lian told him, but he didn’t answer and focused on his meal. Auntie Lian is talking about someone, maybe an ex of bother V.
“Brother! brother! I want a baby girl, okay? Work on it asap.” Layla's eyes are sparkling.
“I’m excited to have a niece,” Layla giggled.
Kier smiled at her.
“Grandpa, don't rush them. Let Kier take his time, and I didn't see him ready to have a child, especially since he is a busy person,” Precious said.
“Why do you know it more than me, Precious?” Kier shifted his attention to her, and he seriously asked her. The atmosphere goes in silence.
“Yeah! Brother doesn’t need your opinion,” the blonde kid joined the conversation.
Precious faked a smile.
“I’m just thinking about their situation and am concerned. Don’t take it as a negative,” Precious reasons.
“I don't need your concern,” Kier said in a curmudgeonly way.
Precious keeps joining a conversation where they’re not asking her opinion.
“Daughter, how many children do you want?” Kier’s mom suddenly asked me.
We haven't talked about this matter, and we’re busy with our work; I’m not yet ready, and I am the only child.d I’m okay with one.
“Four!” Layla shouted. She’s excited more than us.
“Layla is so excited,” Lian said.
“Brother! Make it four, okay? Or much better seven. We’re the only child in the family, and don’t let your future kid grow alone, okay? It’s so sad to grow up without siblings,” Layla said dramatically.
Kier’s eyes look happy even though he is not smiling.
“We haven't talked about it, Mom,” he holds my other hand.
“And let’s see how many we can,” he said playfully.
“Look, this is very delicious,” Precious tried to change the topic, and she didn't like it, and Layla’s excitement irritated her.
Precious looks at me and glares at me secretly.
**
We’re all here in the Cinema room except for those kiddos playing in the backyard, and Kier decided to take a bath.
“Mommy,” Precious is hugging Kier’s Mom, and she pouts her lips.
“Please,” she’s begging her. I’m sitting silently in the corner while they’re so loud.
Grand Lo return in the Hacienda.
“Let’s go to the mall!”.
Precious and Layla had been begging Kier's mom to go to the mall with them.
“I just want to relax, Precious, and I’m old; I need to stay here in the house,” Kier's mom replied.
“No! You're lying, Mommy; you're just lazy like my mom!” Layla’s voice is loud.
“You rarely see me, but you're not granting my wish. You didn't miss me,” Precious hurt stated.
“Okay, I’ll come with you,” My mother-in-law said in defeat.
“Yehey!” the two happily cheered.
I’m just looking at them, and they’re close.
“Okay, next mission is Kier,” Precious said, smirking.
“I need to see him; we will go to the mall with me, “ Precious excitedly said.
“Sissy,” Layla said in a lower voice.
“You can't invite him easily; he won't come with us, especially since we’re all girls, and he's busy,” Layla disagrees with Precious’s idea.
“But I came here to see him, I'm his childhood friend, and he can't resist me!” she confidently said as if she was sure.
Kier's mom chuckled, seeing the two arguing about her son, whether he'd come with them or not. They’re too happy to notice me.
“I have an idea,” Layla said as she looked at me.
“Shielyn will come with us!” Layla was happy as she mentioned my name.
“If she comes with us, definitely and surely, brother Kier will come with us!”
Precious rolled her eyes as she was not happy about Layla's idea.
“I can force him to go with us; Kier can’t resist me,” Precious is determined.
“And Shielyn does not belong, and she doesn’t need to go with us,” she whispered.
Kier's Mom chuckled.
“As if you don't know my son; he doesn't like to go out,” Kier’s mom disagrees with Precious.
“No, Mommy he. Will come. With us.” she’s determined.
“Sissy, why do you need to invite my brother? We can go to the mall and enjoy ourselves without him,” Layla.
“Ladies, I shall go. I have something to do,” Kier’s mom.
“Excuse me too, I’ll do something,” I excused myself, and Kier’s mom held my hand.
“Let's go together,” I just smiled at her. I looked down when I passed their seats, and Precious rolled her eyes at me.
She doesn't like me; I feel it.
“I’ll meet my friends later. '' Kier's mom is entertaining me as we leave the room together; she’s telling me about what she will do today. Tonight and tomorrow.
I’m just silently listening to her. I want to go home and work. I'm not used to this place, and I’m not comfortable. I want to go home, and we have work tomorrow.
I was planning to stay in Kier’s room in the mansion after lunch when Layla pulled me to go with her and watch a movie. I prefer to watch alone, and it makes me comfortable.
We just separated mom's path when I needed to go upstairs because our room is on the second floor, and mom went outside.
When I opened our room door, my mouth opened, and my eyes widened as my world stopped what I saw. I never imagined that this time would come.
“W-wife,” Kier alerted when he saw me. His eyes are full of nervousness, guilt, and fear. He’s at a loss and does not know what to do if he gets near me to clarify what I see. I immediately close the door, and my tears are about to fall.
I place my palm in my heart and suppress my tears, my heart is beating too fast, and it hurts.
I ran as my tears fell. How dare this man cheat behind my back!
He rushed on me.
“W-wife,” I heard him call my name.
I harshly wiped my tears and ran as fast as I could, he kept calling me, but I didn't have a badge to look at him.
“It's and-not w-w-what you think,” I heard him as he chased me. I left the house. I just want to go home to my old room; I don't want to go to his house; I want to see my parents! I don't want him.
