Chapter 24
<Third Person>
Ethan wants to go home because his friend can handle this situation, and they are out of his business, but mine is worried about her friends and wants to know if she's safe. She's blaming herself if she didn't let her drink, and so on. She over-thinks a lot that doesn't make sense. Mia's wasting her energy on overthinking.
"Huh, they're here!" Mia became light but saw Kier's wound.
"You got shot," Mia commented.
"Besty, are you okay?" Mia cupped Selene's face, which was just silent.
"Damn! Kier! What the hell is this?!" Their attention shifted to Renzo, who had been complaining.
Renzo came near them, "What the fuck is happening?!"
Kier gave him a dagger look.
"Most of your visitors are drug lords, idiot! We received a report about this; most visitors wanted and were being hunted by the law.”
"What the hell! They are safe, and I haven't seen anyone taking drugs! I didn't bring drugs, man".
Kier finds it doesn't make sense to talk to him and explains things.
"Mandung will accompany you to the prison to ask some questions. Idiot, cooperate if you don't want me to break your neck," Kier seriously says.
Mia feels fear again and holds Ethan's arm.
Kier's voice is colder than the temperature in Alaska. It sends shivers down her spine.
"Let's go home,"
Mia nodded at Ethan.

They got home, and he treated his wound by himself.
Before Ethan returns home, he offers to treat Ken's wounds, but he is stubborn. Ethan is a Pathology doctor.
Kier finished treating his wound.
He's used to it.
The wound is like a bite of an ant.
He leaned on the headboard and stared at his wife. He sighed; he needed to leave tomorrow afternoon; he had a flight and hadn't told her about it.
He's just watching her sleep peacefully. She fell asleep while they were in the car.
He's going to be busy; that's why he's taking the chance to memorize every detail of her. He's going to miss his wife.

<Shielyn>
I WOKE up feeling not well. I immediately go to CR and take a bath. I'm doomed; I have work.
I'm always late.
I finish my bath as much as possible, and when I'm done fixing myself. I ran downstairs, and my eyebrow furrowed when I saw Ken doing something in the kitchen.
It's past ten am; why is he still here? Don't tell me he waited for me and sent me to work.
He noticed someone staring at him, and he looked at me. His eyebrow furrowed, too, when he saw me.
I haven't fixed myself totally, and I haven't combed my hair. I don't know if I wear my uniform correctly.
Another remove to my salary.
I think I will not receive my salary, if I'm not late, I will be absent.
"Where are you doing?"
I look at him. I swallowed hard; why does he need to be this handsome? His white round neck plain t-shirt always suits him. He looks so clean.
"It's Saturday."
He's too manly and handsome to my eyes.
"Wife?"
His damp hair looks so good on him. I think his hair is softer than mine.
I'm busy praising and appreciating his beauty when I haven't noticed he is near me.
"Ouch!" He knocked on my forehead hard.
"You're drooling," Kier said, and I looked away.
It's embarrassing. Kier always got me in the act.
"Stop fantasizing about me," He plainly said.
I played with my fingers.
He's too near, and I smell his perfume. Too manly. I like his smell.
He pinched me again.
"Oww!" I touch my nose.
He cupped my face and let me look at his tantalizing eyes.
I feel my neck hurting. Kier is too tall for my height. I guess he is 6'8 something, and I'm just 4'11.
"Hey, look at me," I can't look straight in his eye.
"Go fix yourself; it's Sunday; you don't have work."
He turned me around on the way to my room and pushed me.
"I'll wait for you in the kitchen."
I walk while processing what he says.
Information can't take my brain. I'm still sleepy, and my head hurts.
I'm near my room when I totally absorb everything. I'm not late, and it's embarrassing what I did.
I pulled my hair in annoyance.
He saw me rushing to go to work on Sunday.
He caught me staring at him.
I'm such a shameful woman.
I lazily change my outfit and throw away my clothes. I'm lazy.
I went down, and I saw him making milk.
I sat on the chair and looked at him.
"Here. Drink this."
I can't look at him. I got the glass.
"Ouch!" I reacted. It's hot.
"You're not yourself," he commented.
"Drink this Advil to lessen your hangover after you eat."
I drink the milk slowly. I still can't look at Kier.
“Why didn't you tell me it's Sunday?" I asked while drinking my milk made by the boss.
I rush to take a bath, where I just want to lay and sleep.
"I told you're just busy drooling at me," he smirked.
He serves my breakfast.
"What do you want for lunch?"
"Anything," I started to eat.
"Are you fine with adobo?" I nodded without looking.
It's past two in the afternoon, and we're in his room, lying in his soft and spacious bed.
I'm lying on his chest; we're watching a movie.
"I have a flight at 5 pm," he's caressing my hair; his arm is my pillow.
"It's Sunday,” I replied lazily.
He gets my arm to hug him from his waist.
"I know. I need to fix something,” Kier sincerely said.
I nodded and watched even though I didn't understand anything.
"I'll be back as early as I can."
10 minutes before it turns at four pm and I only have 1 hour to be with him.
I snuggled on him.
"Don't miss me so much."
"Don't be assuming," Jase smiled a little bit.
I hugged him.
"Why today? Why not tomorrow? It's Sunday. It's the weekend, but you keep on working. Give yourself a break," I advised.
He's so workaholic, while I'm lazy all the time. I'm not that devoted to my work.
"It's urgent, baby. I already rescheduled the time so I can tell you about it and be with you."
"This is the first time we will be apart," It saddened me.
I'm not going to use it alone in the house. This house is huge for the two of us, and now, he's leaving me alone.
"Yeah, take care of yourself while I'm not home. Lay will come here to cook for you and assist you. Don't miss me so much."
"I'm not going to miss you!" I growled.
He chuckled and kissed my forehead.
"Yeah," he replied.
I hugged him so tight.
I smiled because I made him laugh. I rarely saw him smiling; he was always frowning, mad, and profound. It feels like that's my most significant achievement today.
I am grateful today because I made my husband smile.
"It's not obvious that you won't miss me," he said huskily, "you're hugging me too tight, wife. I can't breathe."
I loosened my grip on him when I realized I was hugging him too. If he didn't say it, maybe he would have died now.
"Why are you leaving me? Huwaaahh! It's Sunday, but you have to go because of work," he chuckles and pinches my nose.
He cupped my face.
"What do you want me to give you as a present?. Hmm."
"You," I pouted.
I want to be cute, but I look like an idiot here.
He kissed my forehead again, softly.
"I'll be back as a whole as you. I'll call from time to time, okay? Even though I am far, we're just too close.’
Ken didn't suit him being sweet.
"Did you eat popcorn?"
He frowned and looked at me.
He is corny.
"You're too corny. You're in the other country, you're not going into the other world, and we will see each other. Stop making drama," I cross my arms.
"You become bolder, and you know how to talk back, huh," he commented while suppressing his smile.
Of course, a legend taught me many things.
"It's just another country," he stops.
"I'm going to Europe. I'm not sure when I am going back. It will take a long."
My face became gloomy. Europe? That far?
"How long is it?" Okay, no time for drama. He will be back, okay.
"Maybe a month or two," he sighed.
"But I will be back as soon as possible."
He caresses my cheeks using his thumbs.
"Hello, love birds!"
Layla's head is out the door, smiling widely at us.
She is always in a happy and lively mood. She's too jolly and cheerful; she is the perfect definition of sunny weather.
"Don't you know how to knock?" Ken is back to being serious.
Layla pouted and opened the door, and came in.
"Don't you hear me knock?" Layla asked sarcastically.
Ken glares at her.
"Oh! Who is going? Have you two decided to divorce?! I will tell this to my Mom and Auntie!" She gets her phone.
I'm looking where she's looking, and it's in the luggage.
"Lay, can you lower your voice.?" Ken asked, irritated. He doesn't like to be noisy.
She stops dialing when she realizes something and laughs awkwardly.
"I just caught you two making loving," She's teasing us; she caught us in the act, "and who is going to leave.?"
She's so sexy in her daring outfit, a red skirt, and bralette.
"Sissy," She excitedly came near me and pulled me out of the room.
"Can you help me in the mall? Please?"
"Ah… I … Kier will," Layla didn't let me finish my sentence.
"Thank you," she hugged me and brought me back to the room.
"I will wait for you, okay? Wear your most sexy outfit," she gave me a flying kiss before she left.
Ken stands beside the window and raises his left eyebrow while looking at me.
"You will go out?"
