Chapter 6 Cachectic
"My stress reliever." He said as if it was nothing.
He changed the topic too.
"I'll get you medicine and drink it later," he reminded me.
I looked at the table beside me, and there was medicine and water.
He frowned when his phone rang. He looked at the screen.
"I'll just answer this," he bid, and I glared at him until he left the room.
That's also one of the things that annoy me. Earlier, a woman called him; I woke up to that call.

Kier took a deep sigh took a deep sigh.
He answered the call.
"Ley, please stop calling me." He grumpy said.
The other line is mad.
"I'll go there by afternoon; I can't leave right now," he said calmly.
The other line kept on ranting, and he ended the call. After that call, his secretary called him, saying the company needed him right now.
Kier starts his morning by meeting countless problems.
He looked for Mia in the house, and she was cleaning the pool.
"Mia..." He called her.
"What's that, brother?" Mia greeted him with a wide smile. She looks happy and contented.
“Can I ask you something?" He seriously asked. Mia, put aside the net she’s holding on.
"I'm just wondering." He's thinking.
"Are women being Lion while on their period?" He asked in a problematic tone and noticed how she changed her expression. She looks confused.
Mia suppressed his laugh because of the face in front of him. It seems like there is a severe problem.
"Why? What happened?" She will ask a question before answering the question even though she is already laughing in the other person's face.
"She's not like that." He recalls what happened earlier as if he had a big problem.
"That's my first time seeing her like that." He explains.
She’s just serious about listening to him.
"The Shielyn, I knew, is unobtrusive," he stopped and thought about what happened earlier.
“but when she has her period, she transforms into Lion. She keeps on shouting and complaining that I smell bad."
Mia couldn’t suppress her laugh and burst into laughter, and Ken's eyebrow furrowed because of her burst of laughter.
"What's funny?" He asked without any idea. He looks like an innocent teenager.
"That's PMS," Mia answered while suppressing her laughs.
Ken became more confused. He never heard that word.
Mia answered her question because he didn't seem to know what that meant.
"That means she's having her Premenstrual syndrome, that's natural to women. There's moody; there's rugged; there's stress. There's sneezing during or before menstruation."
Ken nodded while processing the information he had acquired.
"Understand her. Women are moody when there are visitors."
"Ah, yeah, thanks about d to go."
His face is still severe, and he thinks of his friend's words.
"Wait!" Mia stopped him.
“but there's a way if you don’t like her being moody," she's smiling like an idiot.
Ken isn't used to how his wife treats him; he doesn't like the unobtrusive Shielyn; he prefers a shy type and a silent one.
"What it is?" He doesn’t know what’s happening to his wife's attitude.
Mia leaned over him.
"Get her pregnant." She whispered.
"There, Shileyn won’t transform into a tiger for months," Mia said, suppressing her laugh.
His face remains serious.
"Yeah, I'll take that advice. Thanks!"
When he left, Mia couldn't stop laughing. She laughs like there's no tomorrow and Yunnie asks out of curiosity why she is laughing alone and tells her while laughing.
He didn't know that brother Kier would take it seriously, she was joking about it, and it looked like he would do it. She grinned widely.
"Yes. we'll go." Kier said before he ended the call. It's Saturday, and time flies so fast.
"Wife, grand Lo called." He informed his wife.
She is in the living room, and his foot is on the center table. She is sitting comfortably. Her period is gone, and that's what he's thankful for that. He also suffered severely.
He dumps the cigarette before he goes to her seat.
"Please, don't come near me," she begged and covered her nose.
"I'm sorry if you didn't like it. It's my stress reliever.” He explained and sighed. He gets caught again smoking.
"Why cigarette? There are many other things to relieve your stress."
"Like what?" He asked and sat opposite her.
She thinks, but before he could suggest, Kier asked.
"Like kissing you?" He smirked. Shielyn got dumbfounded and didn't know what to say, she remembered his kiss on her, and they were in the living room that time, and when it happened, she blushed. She felt like she went back to when she was a teenager, the feeling that her crush suddenly kissed her.
"Why are you blushing?" He teases while having a goofy smile.
"This is not funny. You can go out and relax, go to beaches or what! There are a lot of things you can do to relieve your stress. You’re not using your brain.” She said casually.
Ken couldn’t react. Does he hear it right? She told him that Kier was not using his brain. He doesn’t know whether to laugh or get mad. No one dares to say that; only his wife has the confidence.
"But I only feel relaxed by kissing you." He said and playfully smirked.
She didn’t know what to say, so she chose to leave him. Minutes had passed, and Shielyn heard curses from his working room. His working door is a bit open.
"Fvck!"
Kier cursed when he heard the news.
"Keep track of that moron!" He commands to the other line.
"Yes, sir!"
"Bry, hack that asshole computer!” He commands his friend. The other line ended, which is the line of his other co-worker.
"Stupid!... Mother fucker!" Ken hissed in annoyance.
"You're being stupid again, Chezka!" He roared. It seems he’s irritated.
And who's Chezka?
"Dimwit! The fuck Bry!"
And who's Bry? She pressed her ears to the door to hear clearly. Maybe he's having a business meeting again, but it sounds different. She waited to finish him before she decided to knock.
"Come in."
She opens the door.
“W-what time we’ll go?"
Today we’re heading to the mansion.
"Ah yeah! Shit! I almost forgot," he cursed again.
"What time?" He furrowed the way she asked. She raised an eyebrow when she saw that there was another pack of cigarettes, Kier, hid it immediately.
"I didn't s-smoke." He explains even though she is not saying anything.
"I'm not saying anything."
"Are you on your period again?" He frowned when he asked her.
“All right, I'll be out." She did and didn’t answer his question.
"Shielyn!" He called her name.
"Don't disrespect me! I'm talking to you!" Kier hissed madly.
She stopped walking and faced the man.
"What?!" She’s annoyed.
"What the fuck on you again?!" He's suppressing his anger.
"Are you cursing me?" She wants to shout at Kier, but she’s suppressing her anger; if she does that, there will surely be a misunderstanding.
"It's an expression," He firmly explains.
"I see. Okay, I’ll change.” Then she left without minding his last words.
Kier cursed again and crumpled his hair.
<Shielyn>
We arrived at the mansion in silence. I left the car when he had just parked; I was walking. First, he was behind me. Far away from the door, I could hear the noise inside the masonry. Her Mommy just greeted me at the door; she kissed my cheeks.
"My daughter, it's good that you arrived." I shyly smiled at her.
"Kier! Won't you even kiss me?!" Mother asked Ken when he was about not to greet her mother.
"What, mom?" He didn't want to answer.`
His mother approached him while pulling me.
"I miss you, son," she kissed his cheeks.
"Yeah, whatever." He answered, and he left us.
"Why is he so grumpy? Did you fight?”
“I don't know how to say because we didn't fight, but it was like we were fighting. We don't see each other but feel like we're not okay.
"Oh," she pinched me on the waist.
"Don't prolong that; coax my son," she advised me.
"Layla is in the garden; go there because you can't talk to that one when he’s not in the mood; it just makes his head hotter when you talk.,” mother is referring to Kier.
"I'll just take care of the other guests, baby.”
I just smiled, and she kissed me before she left.
I went to Layla, and I quickly found her despite many people. I saw him with a man in his arms.
"Sissy!" She shouted when she saw me, approached me, she pulled me to their place.
Kier is here and drinking. We looked into each other's eyes, but he was immediately the first one who evaded.
"Here, sit here." Layla made me sit next to the man she had hugged earlier while Ken was in front of me. He is looking at me blankly.
"What do you want to drink? Tequila? Champagne-" she didn’t finish her line because someone stopped her.
"Layla!" Kier called her name with the threat.
"Oops!" She nervously laughs.
"You only have water," she faked her laugh this time.
"Here, drink water," she gave me the water, and I accepted it.
"Hoping to cool your head," she's looking at Kier while she says those words, but the other one is busy drinking. His attention is no longer on us but on his friend.
He hadn’t eaten yet. He is drinking alcohol.
"Oh, wait. I'll introduce you to crush," Layla whispered to my left ear.
"Bry! Baby!" Layla hugs the man next to her, and that man is busy having chit-chat with her husband.
"I'm going to introduce you." She whispered.
"Member of the family, best friend of that ugly Kier!” Layla whispered, but we heard it.
I heard that man chuckle. I can’t see his face clearly because Layla is between us.
He looked at Ken, and I was amazed when I saw him because I could only see him from the inside, plus he was busy talking to Ken.
I was stunned when I finally saw his face.
"Hi. I'm Bryden, but you can call me Bry." He offered his hands, but another hand shook it for me. We all look at who’s the hand that is, and it’s from Ken.
"She's married, idiot!" Kier said while looking bad at Bryden.
"Ay possessive!" Layla giggled.
Bryden chuckled.
I keep staring at him.
"Don’t look at me too much; someone might get jealous.” Bryden joked at me.
I looked at Kier, and he was glaring at me so severely.
While the one beside me was thrilled, he killed me with his dagger glares; Layla was making fun of Kier.
"Were you friends with Ken when you were in college?"
