Chapter 37

Third Person POV

Nathalie's ears heat up when she heard what Andrew has said! She loves her twins fairly. And she can't allow anyone to bully them. Anyone! And she doesn't care if it's Andrew.

"What did you say? You're being hard on him! He is my baby boy Andrew. So if you don't like him back off! I care for him and I will do whatever that will make them happy!" Nathalie said angrily.

But Andrew just stares at him sarcastically.

"Yeah, And you will give him Lance too?" He asked looking at Nathalie from up to down.

And Nathalie didn't like it at all!

"How dare you look down on me! Come on Kevin let's go to Kenneth." She grabs Kevin and carries him in her arms.

"No! You can't go home!" Andrew shouted. He didn't care about the people around him!

"And why not? I will look for Kenneth. Lance didn't reply to my text messages. Maybe Dad knows where he is." Nathalie explains but Andrew holds her arm.

"I said no! You can't go home." He said with finality to his voice.

But Nathalie forcefully grabs her arm from Andrew's grasp. He won't budge at all! He's very strong.

"Let me go!" Nathalie said angrily.

And Kevin is about to cry. Seeing his parents quarreling.

"I said no! You and Kevin will stay in here and eat your food." Andrew said without smiling.

Then they heard a woman's voice.

"Let her go, cousin. We have something important to discuss our business in France." Samantha arrived walking sexily towards them while smirking at Nathalie.

Nathalie just rolled her eyes. This is not the time to bow down on Samantha! She's angry and worried about Kenneth. No one can stop her!

"What are you doing in here?" Andrew asked in surprise.

"I'm here! I've done fixing our business in France but we need to discuss something important!" She answered seriously.

"No, it can wait I guess. My family needs me." Andrew declined.

Nathalie can already feel the pain in her arm that Andrew is still holding. She is just looking for a chance to escape!

"You can't say no cousin." Samantha smirk and whispers to Andrew's ear making his eyes grow bigger.

Nathalie just wondering what Samantha has said to him. That makes Andrew out of his mind and he finally, lets go of her arm. She immediately run as fast as she could. She's holding Kevin while running.

And Kevin thought that they are just playing and is very happy.

AT THE AIRPORT

Katrina is very delighted to be out of the country. At last, They are free! But it's not the right time to be happy unless their airplane is already flying up above. They are waiting for Lance's private Pilot to send them away out of the country.

"Let's go inside Katrina." Her father told her.

She grabs her luggage and is ready to go inside. The long wait is over! She said to herself. She's excited to become free. Living freely without any danger. And it's all thanks to Lance.

But the moment they went inside the airplane. The lights went off and goons appeared!

They are armed and are ready to kill them.

"Who are you? Don't you dare! Lance will surely kill all of you." She threatened them but they just laugh at her.

Then a voice from her back speaks up.

"Lance can't save you this time bitch! You will die at my hands and I'm itching to kill you." The woman said in a crazy voice.

And she will never forget that voice! It's her doppelganger, the fake Katrina!

"I'm right all along. You are a devil! Lance trusted you. How dare you!" Katrina said angrily.

But the fake Katrina only laughs at her.

"Just say what you wanted to say, my dear. You will die in a minute haha." She answered laughing.

"Just let go of my dad. He is innocent and old!" Katrina shouted.

"Na ah! You have no say, my dear. This time, I'm the boss and I decide to kill both of you. Men!"She wave her hand and the goons fired them.

Katrina's father grabs her to hide from the seats. Then he saw that the door is still open! This is the chance for her daughter to escape.

"Katrina, when I push you. Crawl towards the door okay?" Her father asks smiling.

Katrina saw the door which is still open. But she didn't like the idea at all!

"No dad, what are you saying? We will both get out alive! Don't say that. I will not go out alone!"She said.

"No, it's now or never! You should go out and ask Lance for help. I wish you all the best my daughter and trusted Lance to help you and live a life with freedom." Then he pushes Katrina towards the door while he is standing in front covering her.

"Go!" Is the last word that Katrina's father speaks.

Katrina crawl and went out immediately. She run barefoot and she didn't care. It's a matter of life and death! She's crying about the death of her father.

But she needs to be alive!  She runs without looking back! Away from the dead hand of her Doppelganger.

"Bullshit! What are you all waiting for? Chase and kill her!" The fake Katrina shouted.

She can't be alive! She must kill her. She said to herself. Or else Lance will kill her instead!

Bullshit...

AT THE MALL

Nathalie reached the parking lot and immediately turn on the engine. She takes a deep breath when they are finally away from the Mall.

"Mommy, I like to play more!" Kevin said happily.

"No baby, you should behave and sit properly. We will be going to find Kenneth okay." Nathalie answered smiling.

Her innocent little boy. The twins are her everything. And she's worried about what happened to Kenneth at the moment. She should not hurt him! She regrets it already. But it's too late...

Where can she find Kenneth?

Suddenly a woman is waving her hand from afar. Nathalie notices that she has no shoes at all! And his feet are full of bruises.

When she passed near her. She finally sees who it is.

Katrina? She's surprised! She stops the car and opens her window.

"Katrina? What happened to you?" Nathalie asked.

And Katrina was shocked. Does this woman know her? She asked herself.

"Oh thank God that you know me. Can you help me? Please let me ride to your car!"She begs while crying.

Any minute the goons and the fake Katrina will arrive! She's running out of time. She needs to be alive! Her Dad sacrifices himself for her safety. She will not fail him.

"Okay, hop in." Nathalie open the backseat door and Katrina went in immediately.

She took a deep breath when Nathalie started the car.

"Please, I'm tired. Can I answer your question later?" Katrina begs again for the second time. She felt exhausted and very tired.

Nathalie was amazed by the Katrina in front of her!

The Katrina that she knows is a stubborn and spoiled brat!

But the Katrina inside her car is kind and sophisticated.

What is happening in the world right now? Is it possible for a person to change their attitude quickly? Nathalie suddenly asked herself silently.

But she's seeing a different person! Katrina, she knew always wears makeup with a dominant facial expression. But this Katrina right now is simple and glamorous. She can see it by the way she dresses up. Simple but Fashionable! And her facial expression is innocent and kind!

She told her not to ask questions. She will let her relax. She looks tense and afraid.

"Baby, give Aunt Katrina this water," Nathalie told Kevin while giving him the bottle of water.

"Thank you," Katrina said shyly.

And Nathalie felt awkward and weird the way she treated her! The Katrina that she knows hated her so much! But she's loving the idea that evil will change into an angel.

Katrina is thirsty that she drinks the whole bottle in one go. Then she felt sleepy. She knows that she's safe for now and closes her eyes to relax and gather her strength.

"Mommy, Aunt Katrina is sleeping," Kevin said.

"Yeah, just let her sleep baby," Nathalie answered while caressing Kevin's hair.

God! She already misses Kenneth.

Where are you, baby? She's about to cry but she needs to be strong.

Her dad didn't reply to her text messages.

Lance didn't message her back too.

Just where are they?

When I needed them the most...

Nathalie whispered and tears fall from her eyes.

Kevin wipe her tears with his small hand.

"Don't cry, Mommy. Kenneth is okay, I can feel it." Kevin said smiling sweetly.

Nathalie stop the car and hug her little Angel.

"Oh, baby..." She hugs him but still, her tears won't stop. She needs to be strong in times like this. No one would love the twins except her. No one will protect them!

She can't just believe that Andrew will act that way! She thought that he loves the twins genuinely.

But he's fake!

She's angry and will never forgive him that easily...
