Team Building Part 2 (Little Misunderstanding)

Chapter 8

We finally reach our destination. Palawan is indeed a beautiful place.

We decided to make a campfire this evening and experience camping outside.

It's a perfect and beautiful day!

The employees are all excited especially those lovers. Yes in my Dad's company, a relationship between co-employees is allowed but not in Lance's Company and I don't know why.

Maybe he's just bitter or what.

I'm building my tent when Lance approaches me.

"Miss Falcon want some help?" He asks then wink at me.

The temptation is here again.

" No thanks, Mr. Vergara. I can manage, just build your tent." I declined.

But he insists! He helped me in building my tent while simply touching my hands. If someone is not looking, he will kiss me on my face.

We are like young teenagers in love and afraid to be caught by our parents.

So we are doing it secretly.

Everybody joined the games that both teams creatively created. We played kill that person.

It's a water gun game while riding a boat. The first person who will dive into the water will lose.

I'm ready and I know I will be killed by Lance because I'm not fond of games.

But he let me kill him instead!

And my group was very happy but I'm not. He's going easy on me and letting me win. It's unfair for his team.

But he just laugh out loud and announce me as the winner.

I sit down at the back and he gives me water. I did not mind him but he keeps on bothering me.

"Sorry, love." He said while giving me water.

I just rolled my eyes at him. And accept the water.

"You know that we are in the middle of the people and they are all our employees," I said frustrated.

"I'm sorry, but I can't help myself. I miss you so much and it's been years!" His voice is full of longing.

"I told you that there's no hope for us! I am a married woman. And you are getting married too. What's the point of all of this!" I shouted in a low voice tone. And it's not easy on my part.

"And I told you that I will fight for you. Married or not!" Then he walked away.

And I was left speechless. He looks serious and determined. I sighed in frustration. Why did our paths meet again?

Of all people, I found him again. Maybe it's destiny? I don't know!

At night, we grilled pork and chicken meat. And everyone is happily singing while eating in the middle of the campfire. The Team Building helps the employees be comfortable with each other. And it's a miracle that Lance didn't bother me at all.

He is drinking at the side without eating.

I don't know why I felt worried about him. I pick 4 sticks of pork meat then give them to him.

"No, thanks, Miss Falcon. I'm still full." He rejected my food without looking at me. He just keeps on drinking.

Then I eat the meat ashamed of what I did.

So this is the feeling of being neglected.

"Sure, I will eat it, if you don't like it. I just want you to take a bite as I am the one who seasoned this meat." I explained.

But he didn't answer and just keep on drinking.

"Myla! come here. Drink with me." He called his secretary. And it's seductively swinging her waist towards his boss.

I felt all of the blood of my body run upward to my head. I wanted to scratch her face.

But I don't have the right and I'm a married woman. I will not do that.

It hurts and I don't know why. I leave the two of them and join the campfire. I drink and dance with my employees.

When I look in Lance's direction. He is happily talking with his secretary. And I still feel angry while looking at them.

I decided to go inside my tent and sleep. But I could not! as it's still very noisy outside.

I played games on my phone until I fall asleep.

And I wake up in the middle of the night thirsty. I get up and drink some water. Then my tent suddenly open!

I hold the bottle of mineral water to an attack position, ready to launch whoever this intruder might be.

I was about to throw it away when I finally see the intruder is none other than Lance.

He is drunk.

What is he doing in here? He's looking for some trouble again.

"You're too drunk to know that you entered a wrong tent?" I ask feeling annoyed.

He just smiles crazily.

"Hello love, I miss you..." Then he hugs me.

"What are you doing! Let go of me!" I wanted to shout but I know that everyone is already sleeping.

"I'm sorry love, Did I hurt your feelings tonight?" He lovingly asks.

"No, I'm not hurt. You better go out." I answered.

"No, I want to sleep beside you." He insists.

"It's not okay, what if we get caught?" I asked him.

"That... If you moan loudly." He laughs.

"You bastard! Get out!" I shouted a little because of anger.

"Shhhh, don't make some noise. I will just sleep beside you. Nothing more nothing less, Except! If you will seduce me hehe." His laughter is already tempting me!

I must behave and be responsible. Lance is drunk. I will never use this situation to do badly on him.

He insists on sleeping. I just let him lay down in my bed.

I sleep at the end corner to make sure the two of us will never touch. But Lance is very noisy, I don't know if he is sleeping or what.

He's having perspiration all over his face. I decided to take care of him while he is drunk.

I get a towel and I wipe his perspiration. He is calling my name?

"Nathalie..." He whispered. I don't know why he keeps on calling my name.

Maybe he is dreaming?

I just continued to wipe his perspiration. With a wet towel and his face felt at ease. I continue to wipe his neck down to his shoulders and hands.

I go back to his handsome face. The young Lance and he is very similar. He didn't age at all. His thick eyebrows that I like. Long prominent nose and kissable lips.

I didn't notice that I'm not looking at him but touching his face!

Then he opens his eyes and smiles at me.

"Love what you see?" He said seductively.
