The rays of the sunshine were so bright that it peers through the curtains, but Laura was too tired to be bothered by it.

She felt really tired and drained out. Meanwhile, Alex even after the exercise was still very energetic. He left Laura in bed and went out for his business, he gave locked her in the room so she wouldn't try anything funny.

He gave orders to his maid, that they are allowed to serve her, give her anything she wants, and do whatever she demands but she is not allowed to leave the room no matter what.

When Laura finally woke up, she was completely drained out, with traces of dried tears on her cheeks.

She whimpered when she lifted her legs, flashes of what transpired last night came rushing in like a nightmare.

A fresh batch of tears spilled out of her eyes, the only thing she held dearly was taken away from her with no mercy.

He took the only treasure she had, she had been keeping herself for her husband but it's no more, she doubts if she will even get the chance to get married and leave a happy life.

She brought her knees up to her chest and buried her face in it, her little sobs turned to loud cries. She was thinking of life and didn't hear when the door opened and shut. An elderly lady walked in with a tray in her hand which consisted of food, orange juice, and water.

She placed the tray, walked to the girl who was crying her eyes out, and gently caress her hair.

Laura was startled when she felt a hand on her hair, she thought it was Alex so she moved back shakily.

"Don't be scared, my dear, won't hurt you." Laura still had her guards up, she doesn't trust anyone. She looked at the woman wearily. "I am Shelly, Alex's nanny, I am like a mother to him, I watched him grow up into who he is today. I know what you are thinking, but I did advise him, but he is just too hard to talk with." Laura just stared at Shelly while she talked.

"You should go and take a bath while I set the table for you to eat." Laura thought of something and decided to act on it.

"Ma'am, please help me get out of here, I will forever be indebted to you." she held her hands together and knelt on the bed.

Shelly felt pity for her but there is nothing she can do about it, she might not have been given a chance to carry a child in her womb but she has raised one, so seeing Laura in this state of hers and how she looks tired, it breaks her heart but she can't help her.

"I am sorry my dear but I can't help you, Alex is not that bad, do what he asks of you, and he won't hurt you. I know what I am saying won't help you get out but it will help you live here peacefully." the little hope she had gone down the drain.

"Thank you, I am not hungry." she lay back down, backing Shelly. "I am sorry but you have to, strict orders from Alex " Laura had had enough of that name, Alex this, Alex that, why don't they care about her feelings?

"I said I am not hungry, please ma'am leave me alone, I want to be alone." her tears came rushing out of her eyes as she screamed at the top of her voice.

A sad sigh left Shelly's lips, she left the tray of food and went back downstairs looking at the door behind her.

Laura took a bath, it wasn't easy for her to walk because of her sore sex, after taking a warm bath, she felt a little better. She had nothing to wear so she wrapped herself up with the duvet and went back to bed.

Meanwhile, someone was fuming in rage. She pushed the door of the house with so much force it almost left its hinge.

"What got you all mad? are you okay Sandra?" Pauline inquired standing up from her posh couch. They moved out of the old house after Pauline won millions in the casino.

They now own a big business that is doing well, and Pauline has become a regular customer in the casino.

"Last night at the club, I heard one of my friends saying the brothel where you sold that tramp had an auction sale, guess who bought her." Pauline looked uninterested in whatever she was saying.

"Alexander Quinn, mother Alexander Quinn bought Laura. How did she do it? how did she entice him?" Pauline rolled her eyes, she still can't understand why Sandra is angry.

"Sandra, why are you angry? I don't get it." She took a seat, and Sandra did same.

"Don't you get it, mother? she is with a wealthy man, that slut got a wealthy man." Pauline chuckled

"Well, my dear isn't it a good thing? she is with a drug lord, someone who is powerful and no one messes with him. Think about it, she must be miserable, living her life in tears and as a slave for a mafia." she laughed hysterically.

Sandra thought about it and that's when she calmed down. "You are right mother, she must be miserable, begging for death to come." They laughed like witches who have seen their annual sacrifice...
