Chapter 19 Speaking To His Heart and Invitation to share bed
Elena Davis’s Pov,
“Miss, be careful there, that isn’t the place you should go.” Driver warned me about that place. I have never been there. Hell, it was the first time I heard about it. Soon he stopped the cab at the corner. I paid him by phone and he left.
It was a pub, but it wasn’t crowded as any normal pub should. Neon lights were shining all over the place. I started walking towards the entrance but I heard dad’s voice calling me so I retreated back, towards the source of sound. I was walking towards the entrance of a dark alley at the corner of the street.
I saw him standing in the corner waving at me. I saw him after two whole years. Tears started flowing from my eyes and ran towards him and hugged him tightly. He, too, missed me like I did.
He broke the hug and took my hand in his and was way more drunk than I ever saw him. His eyes were whole red, looking tired and dull. He was still in his white rehab clothes.
“Dad, again?” I shrieked at him as I didn’t like that he was still drunk. He waved his hand in the air in ignorance, like it didn’t matter to him at all.
“How are you? My child?” he asked with so much care holding in his eyes for me. I never witnessed his love for me, as he always ignored me.
“I am a good dad, but why did you run away from rehab? They are there to help you.” I asked and his face paled at hearing the name of rehab. I was shocked very much when he pushed me far from him with anger. All the love and care he was holding in those eyes were drained in a minute. I was in disbelief, trying to balance myself with the help of the wall beside me.
“Did you come here to blame me?” He yelled, taking steps towards me. Scared, I immediately distanced myself from him. I was hoping to see love for me, but his eyes only filled with anger.
“Give me money, I need to go before they come.” He announced strongly. Money? Is this the only thing he cares about? What about me? His daughter? Hearing his words I could utter any, he left me speechless. I was feeling worthless.
“Money? That’s what you wanted from me?” I asked him to confirm but still I had little hope that he would say no dear. I came for you to meet you but reality came crashing down on me when he nodded at me in agreement. He was searching for a purse that I forgot in the office. His desperation was increasing every second, as he couldn’t find my purse.
“Where is your purse? I need to go.” He asked again but this time in a threading tone jerking my arm in a tight grip. Even my wincing in pain didn’t stop him from dragging.
“Dad, it’s hurting.” As expected, my pleas went totally unnoticed by him, but he suddenly stopped as a loud sound of heavy footsteps increased. He left my hand suddenly and took a step back. I turned to see there were two men standing at the entrance of the alley watching us with a knowing look on their faces.
“There you are.” One man started and approached dad, eyeing me up and down, winking at the same time. I distanced myself from him immediately after witnessing his behavior. I looked down at myself and my clothes were devastated and weren’t proper at all. I immediately smoothened my shirt and skirt as I remembered to run away from Arius when he was showing the rain of his kisses over me, in that state without thinking about anything.
“Where is my money?” Other one asked while following first, smirking at him.
“I don’t have one right now but I will soon pay you one.” Dad answered them with hesitation, lingering while speaking.
“James, have you heard of him? He said he will pay us soon.” First one spoke and both of them started laughing loudly in a sinister way.
“Yaa, I heard him. Very clearly.” The second one mocked dad, eyeing at me with a disgusting smirk.
“After running away stealing our drugs, you think I will let you breathe?” He barked at dad while scratching his stubble. His behavior was screaming danger loudly. He was walking towards dad’s deadly steps.
“No, no” I barged in between as he said those words. I won’t let anything happen to you, dad. I blocked dad standing between them.
“Girl, you think you can stop us?” The first one laughed hard hearing my words, stopping at place watching me carefully. The second one rolled his eyes and jerked me with his hand, making me fall on the corner of the alley. I am so scared; these guys have guns tucked back at their pants.
I was about to get up hurriedly and ran towards dad but a sharp pair of lights lit the alley and screeching sounds of vehicles roared all over. I turned to see a car stopping at the entrance of the alley, following the ambulance.
I was shocked to witness Mr. Accardo come out of the car walking towards me with anger floating in his eyes. His walk was like he was going to murder someone. He came towards me and offered his hand to me, then I came to realize that I was still sitting on the road. I slid my hand in his and he pulled up, circling his hand around me, holding me near his chest.
Mr. Accardo was glaring at the two men standing near dad. As they saw him walking towards them, they shuddered a bit. They ran away without saying anything. Their faces were pale and horror was dripping in their eyes. Mr. Accardo didn’t even stop them from running or the two men standing near the car. They just watched them running in the dark.
“How do you know I was here?” I questioned him. He looked down at me, tightening his grip over my waist and calming his anger in his eyes.
“I was just passing by.” He again avoided answering, but at least he talked about something. He looked at dad and then me; his hold on my waist loosened.
“They will take him after you finish your talk.” He said and turned back, walking towards his car and sat down, keeping the door open as it was a notation that after that I have to sit there.
“Who was he?” Dad questioned, walking near me.
“It’s none of your business, dad. You promised me you won’t touch drugs again but still you-” tears started flowing remembering every promise he broke. I was feeling I wasn’t worthy of love. I didn’t speak anything further and just walked away from him.
Mr. Accardo was still looking at me sitting in his car, waiting for me. I didn’t take time to think and started walking. Someone closed the door as I sat beside and the car ignited, instantly taking us far away from my dad. I was feeling guilty for not speaking to him.
He turned with concern filled eyes at me and removed a few locks of hairs from my face, tucking behind my ear. His eyes were searching for any injury over my body.
“I am ok.” I spoke unintentionally, resting my hand over his. He held my fingers and interlocked them with his hand tightly, nodding at me. Whole remaining drive went comfortably silent. Even though we lack conversation, his eyes talk a lot more than his mouth and it’s enough for me. At least they don’t lie to me like his mouth.
I looked outside as the car stopped but was confused immediately as it wasn’t my apartment building. Before I could speak anything, he dragged me out of the car with the same hand which he was holding from the start and started walking towards the elevator.
“Mr. Accardo, this isn’t my apartment building.” I pulled him and refused to enter the elevator. His face hardened as I stopped at the door.
“I know. They can come back finding you for revenge. You are staying with me.” he ordered and pulled me in the elevator, pressing me over him. There was no need for that.
“I am not-” I denied and put hands between us, creating distance.
“Yes, you are.” He totally ignored my opposition and pulled me in again. I signed in defeat. Elevator door opened with a luxurious penthouse which was decorated with dim lighting and a dark theme. We walked inside and there were prepared two meals kept on the dining table along with wine filled glasses.
He again ordered to eat, and all dinner went silent again. Neither of us talked about anything. He was busy observing me keenly, and I was regretting the decision about dad. He promised me that he would quit drinking and drugs, but all my hopes of watching him well and healthy went in vain.
Mr. Accardo forwarded my third glass of wine, taking a seat beside me, relaxing on the couch, forwarding his hand to me and involuntarily I gave my hand in his. He gently pulled me, making me recline on his chest while drinking his wine. He slid his hand around my waist, dragging me more at him.
“At five, mom and dad adopted me.” He kissed my shoulder as these words left me; he was silently encouraging me to speak further.
“I don’t remember anything that happened to me before five; everything is blank , just a few nightmares left; then mom died of terminal illness taking dad’s sanity with her.” My words were breaking. He sneaked his hand into my shirt and started caressing my stomach, softly placing a kiss over my neck.
“Then he—he----” He shushed me in my ear; stopping me from speaking anything further. I emptied a glass of wine in one go, keeping it down. He got up and pulled me over his thighs.
“I already know everything.” He whispered on my shoulder, dragging his lips neck to shoulder and shoulder to neck again and again, circling his hands around me.
“I want to forget myself tonight.” Words left without my intention, but it’s true that I don’t want to remember tonight at all. He looked in my eyes for a second and pulled even closer the very next second, taking my lips under him.
“With pleasure.” He replied between kisses. His smell, lips and voice were working as a siren’s call for me, wanting to drown myself in him until the last breath I left.
I gasped loudly as he pulled me closer to him, vanishing every gap could have made me feel the desire of Everest he had poked between us, wanting to tear every clothed restriction it had. He moaned in pleasure while kissing as I ground myself over him. His hands were roaming all over my back while mine were pulling him with his shoulder.
My chest was heaving over him as we both were panting because of the long kiss. He cupped my face in his hand, watching me carefully while others were squeezing my butt.
“This_ is_ only for_ this night.” I spoke between my breaths. He smirked with a mischievous look in his eyes and stood up with me around his waist, claiming my lips once again. I held him, resting my hands over his neck, and moaned as he gave torturous strokes repetitively with his tongue.
He banged me softly on a nearby wall as a loud moan left me when I felt his increased hardness brushed over me down in response before moaning.
“You are strangely known and wickedly irresistible.” With that, he tore my shirt.
