Chapter 45 Danger Over the Unaccepted Heart
Elena Davis’s pov,
I was terrified a lot when I saw that man keeping his finger over the trigger of the machine gun in his hand and standing like an unmovable mountain. He had a serious and cold face gazing everywhere but me. He lowered his eyes instantly when I looked at him.
He must be in his late early thirties and was dressed like a commando ready to kill the person in front of him. I was holding Alex in a tight grip breathing hastily struggling with the situation around me.
“Sabbb, You scared us,” Alex exclaimed, furrowing her eyebrows at him. He took a step back slowly lowering his machine gun a bit but his finger didn't leave the trigger making me worried.
“Sorry miss. I will follow with some distance.” He apologized but his tone wasn't guilty at all, it was blunt.
“Why will you follow us?” I questioned as his words confused me. I knew that Arius had tight security all over the mansion as I could see armed people at every corner now and then. They were all dressed black and equipped with earpieces in their ears and weapons covering their body. They looked extremely terrifying to me but Alex was relaxed and didn't even consider them as she couldn't see them.
“I am your bodyguard, it's my duty to follow you for protection.” He answered casually, lowering his head negligibly. I was furious that Arius had arranged his spy over me, as soon as I stepped foot outside my room.
“I don't want you to follow me everywhere I go, besides I need protection against your boss, not from him.” I fumed over him, draining my rage as he was Arius. Listening to my words Alex burst into laughter loudly.
“It's an order from Capo and can not be changed at any cost, but I can keep a small distance, nothing more than that,” Sab uttered, ignoring my protest, and walked a few steps back again looking around.
“Let it be El, let's go in the garden. You will get used to all these things.” Alex consoled me by rubbing my shoulder and we turned to approach the main entrance of the living room. Yaa, she is right. I think I have to get used to this as my chances of being rescued by cops or escaping me is nearly zero. I was trapped here forever with the person who didn't even love me and was going to marry someone else soon.
“Yaa, I have to get used to this stuff,” I muttered involuntarily to myself watching the dense forest in front of me knowing that my freedom was standing in front of me asking me to take a step towards it but it wasn't possible with my tied legs.
“I am sorry,” Alex responded guiltily, stealing her gaze from me. Sab was walking behind us keeping his distance from us acting as he couldn’t hear our talk.
“It's not your fault Alex, it's Arius who forced me to be here for no reason,” I added, speeding my way towards the entrance with her.
“El, emotions are not the cup of his tea. He doesn't understand them nor going to. He was born in the cruelest family and only trained to be one from the first day of his life.” She reasoned for her brother while descending the stairs of the mansion with me.
“I can guess, the tunnel accident explained a lot of things to me now and his words too.” I agreed with her as flashes of that incident crossed my mind. He didn't even flinch when that huge piece of car debris tore his skin deep inside and he was asking me if I was ok while he was bathing in his blood ignoring it as nothing happened at all.
“yaa, I remember. You were caught in that attack.” She exclaimed heavily as we entered the garden surrounded by the mansion. I didn't answer her but kept walking as I didn't hear her words. A beautiful statue of a Greek lady welcomed us while pouring water from her pot nonstop, holding a sweet smile as if it was the actual heaven, not the entrance of hell.
Anyone could get perplexed to see such a mesmerizing gateway of hell and I was one of them too. It was a perfect symbolism of paradise but the activities he conducted here can terrorize the devil too. We walked towards the western part where there was a wide open lawn with shrubs of carnation flowers smiling at us.
“El, why don't you think one time about my brother? He may never say to you but I can see how desperate he is to see you. Do you think he can't invade your room? He rules here.” She insisted on pulling me over with my arm. I could see the gloomy expressions sprawled over her face.
I closed my eyes not wanting to face her anymore, my emotions were brimming on top of my heart threatening me to spill it all over taunting my fate and my patience.
Thundering noise erupted from the corner of the forest making a group of raven flies scream in fear. A car was roaring through the middle of the jungle constructing its way through its denseness. Tall trees were covering the car all as we could only hear its sound.
“Capo is here,” Sab responded from behind, looking at the forest.
“Haven't you said Arius is not here?” I questioned, jerking my head at Alex who was surprised at the car emerging from the trees.
“I really wasn’t aware of that.” She expressed shaking her head at me. He must have decided to come into uncertainty. The car halted in front of the fountain of the Greek lady. I forced my legs to turn away from him and approach the door of the mansion but Alex caught my wrist making me stop as soon as I took a step away from Arius.
“not going to see him once?” She asked me to face the car. The door of the car opened with a creek and his long legs came into view, increasing my heart rate rapidly. It was like a year for me. I hated that even after realizing his reality my soul was longing to see him.
He stood in front of the open door staring at me with uncertain hope filled in his eyes as he was having visions of the future. A hint of concern was mixed with the pleasure dancing over his face. My chest swells watching him after so long a time which was more than an eternity for me.
He just stood there watching me tenderly as he hadn't seen me enough but it was me who hadn't seen enough to fill him completely in my tiny heart which seemed not to get full ever with him. His cruelty and inhumaneness weren’t affecting my feelings at all which was my concern, slicing my belief system repetitively.
“What? Bomb? Where?” Sab’s desperate and scared words took my attention. I turned to see him talking over the phone with a pale face. He was staring at Arius.
“Car has a bomb.” He responded silently, petrifying me as I glanced back at Arius who was still there looking at me with his joyous eyes. My legs speed up towards him but with a loud sound, everything gets enveloped in a red cloud crushing my last hope and reason for my breathing with it.
Boom
