72. I love you

Miranda's point of view:

I left the school immediately and headed to Danika mansion.

Alex was trying to say something to me but I asked him to wait first because I want to clear my confusion. I don't understand why I didn't change to my old self even after Alex kissed me.

“Danika! Danika!" I call out the moment I arrive at Danika's mansion. I am so full of eagerness. She walked out from her inner room smiling.

“You didn't even waste time before coming," she said, sounding as if she knew that I was coming.

“Danika I...."

“I know Miranda, I know everything. You don't need to explain anything to me. I know that you have broken the condition given to you by kissing him." She cuts me off.

“You know about it?" I asked, a little bit confused. She nodded with a smile.

“But Danika nothing happened, I mean.... I am still beautiful even though I kissed a guy. I thought you said that I will turn ugly if I kiss a guy and I am likely to die if I end up sleeping with any guy."

She took a deep breath and took a seat before speaking up. "Of course I did say that to you Miranda and everything I told you was all true."

“If they are true, then why am I still looking beautiful? Why didn't I change?" I asked, confused. She smiled once again.

“You are lucky Miranda, you are very lucky. It is true that if you receive beauty from the beauty goddess, you will not kiss or get intimate with a man. The only penalty for breaking these rules is being ugly once again, death is not involved. I only told you that you are likely to die if you get intimate with a guy because I don't want you to fall for any guy because they don't deserve your love after what you went through in their hands."

“I don't understand you right now, are you trying to say that the condition is still what it is but only that death is not involved?" I asked and she nodded.

“But.... Why didn't I turn back ugly when I kissed Alex?"

“That was because you are lucky. It is something that usually happens but once in a century. In every century, the mother of beauty gives out beauty and wealth to anyone who finds favor in her eyes without asking for anything in return and you are the lucky one this century because you are beautiful inside and you have such a golden heart. You can still have your beauty and wealth but only your power should be taken from you and you also have the right to kiss or get intimate with a man." she clarifies.

“Are you for real Danika?" I somehow find it hard to believe what she just said.

“Yes Miranda, you have nothing to fear. It is also an act of true love, Alex sincerely loves you."

“No Danika, he only loves my beauty."

“That's not true, I was also thinking like you but I later found out that he loves you even when you are still ugly. Remember the day you mistakenly fell on him, yes he did insult you but he still saved you from Kiara and others who were bullying you. He found out that you are his mate but didn't want to accept that fact. He felt that you are not his type because you are ugly. But love never lies, he couldn't get you out of his mind and he was forced to accept his feelings for you. He was forced to accept the mate bond. He decided to look for you but he didn't see you again. But when you came back as Rihanna, he felt the connection and when he saw that mark on your chest, he was curious and he decided to find out the truth. He wanted to know if you are really Miranda or Rihanna. That was why he kissed you." Danika stated.

I still can't believe that Alex loved me when I was ugly, he accepted the mate bond. How was that possible? I mean, I was ugly. I was someone who was irritated and disgusting to other people.

“Love made it possible, love is one thing that you cannot deny Miranda no matter how hard you try. Even when you tried to deny the feelings you have for Alex, it still wouldn't leave you. You two are meant to be together and you are destined to love each other regardless of your looks that was why Selene paired you as mate," she added.

She is right, I can't deny the fact that I love Alex. No matter what, I still can't get rid of the feelings I have for him. I am sure it is not the mate bond.

I can't believe my beauty won't disappear even if I kiss or get intimate with a man. That means I've finally found permanent beauty, my joy knows no bounds right now. The man I love is also in love with me not because of my looks but because of my heart. And I'm also happy that my family sincerely loves me not because I am now beautiful and rich but because they regret everything they did to me.

“Thank you for everything Danika, you gave me a new life and also changed my life. I am really indebted to you," I said, trying not to feel emotional.

“It was nothing Miranda. You can consider me your good friend that will always be there with you. You deserve to be happy my dear and I'm glad you found happiness," she chipped in and pulled me into a hug and I responded as I allowed the tears to slide down my cheeks. It's a tear of joy.

I left Danika's mansion to go to school. I met Alex on my way to see my sisters. I needed to tell them the good news, I am sure they will be so happy to hear it.

“Alex." I mumbled.

He gently walked up to me and I could see those feelings in his eyes as he took my hands into his. There is so much sincerity in his eyes.

“Listen Miranda, I didn't mean to hurt or embarrass you by kissing you. I know it is not right to kiss you without your permission, I just want to know if you are Miranda, if you are the girl I'm looking for, I only...." I slowly place my finger on his lips cutting his speech off.

“I know Alex, I know everything.'

“I couldn't accept my feelings for you Miranda but I was forced to believe that I love you because I couldn't get you off my mind. No matter how you are Miranda, whether you are beautiful or ugly, I will still love you. Love is not about beauty but heart and I am sorry for whatever I said to you on that day you mistakenly fell on me... I was just ignorant." he said and I can see how true his words are through his eyes.

“I love you Miranda," he whispers

“I love you too Alex," I mumbled as the tears slowly fell down my cheeks.

“I, Alexander Garcia, the Alpha heir of the Night Walker Pack, accept Miranda Jones as my mate and Luna."

“Alex," I mumbled in shock. I never saw that coming. He nodded trying to tell me to accept him too. I smiled as I said the words. “I, Miranda Jones, accept to be your mate and your Luna."

He grinned in excitement as he pulled me into a hug and I responded to the hug.

The students started clapping and cheering for us and I can also see my sisters among them. I guess they have been watching us all along.

Alex slowly disengaged from the hug. He looked into my eyes with so much passion and love, he wiped the tears that had filled my eyes with his thumb as he gently took my lips. I closed my eyes as I accepted the kiss, unlike the first kiss when I was so scared but now I am feeling the pleasure and the thrilling ecstasy as his tongue wobbles in mine. I can't explain my happiness right now, I never thought this day would come when I will be so much happy. Danika is indeed a blessing into my life.

Beauty is not love, and love is not beauty. Love is heart, beauty is flesh and lust.

Danika gave me a portion that can make Kiara return to her old self.

“I am sorry for everything I did to you, Miranda," she said after she changed to her old self.

“I am also sorry Kiara because I did hurt you too," I chip in. She smiles as we both engage in a hug.

The students also begged for my forgiveness especially those that bullied me after they learned that I am Miranda and not Rihanna. I also asked for their forgiveness because I did hurt them too.

I can't express my happiness right now, I am now happily living with my parents and I have also found true love. I feel like I began a new life.

“Ugliness is not a crime neither is it a sin, it is all about nature. Discrimination will bring nothing but disunity among nations, we do not have the right to look down on one another. We all are equal in the eyes of our creator. We do not have to make life difficult for those who are weak. The ugly ones are weak, they have low self-esteem, they can't express their feelings, they are depressed and they sometimes get tired of living because of our attitudes towards them.

If we are loving and caring towards them, they will fit in and they will have high self esteem and will be able to achieve their goal and dream, and they won't have the need of taking their life or become tired of living They won't have any reason to be scared and they won't live in the shadow. They won't be desperate to find beauty and risk their life at the process.

They aren't the ones that create themselves because if it is in their power, they will surely make themselves to be beautiful. Let's not deny the ugly ones the respect, love and happiness they deserve. Let's all live in unity and in happiness and know that we are all one." I stated as I addressed the students.

Every bit of what I said had a good effect on them all and there was happiness and unity among us all. There was no longer discrimination, bullying or hatred in Blue Moon. The ugly ones are not in hiding anymore, they have no reason to be afraid from the bullying and insults. They were able to live happily like everyone else. They do not look down on themselves anymore and they are out with courage to fulfill their dreams.

Not everyone can be lucky as I am in 'finding beauty' that is why everyone should be happy the way they are and others should also support them with love and care like assuring them that they are not different from those that are beautiful. They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

We shout out justice for the ugly ones because the beautiful ones are not yet to be born so as the ugly ones. Infact, everyone is beautiful; no one is ugly!

And if you are beautiful and always look down on the ugly ones, you might end up like Kiara..... One thing you should know in this world is that beauty fades but love never fades.

You should also know that everyone is beautiful, no one is ugly. You should not let anyone make you believe that you are ugly because you are not ugly. You are beautiful beyond words.
