" How are you feeling?" The doctor asks, adjusting the nasal cannula on Sage.

" My head feels heavy," she mumbles lowly. Her face pale and tired as she snuggles in the blanket.

" Okay, what do you remember about yourself?" he asks, pulling out a notepad.

She bites her lips, looking at me and Elliot before she looks away. Tears pool into her eyes as she wipes them away with the back of her hand.

" Everything."

Wait. . . what? Everything? She gained her memories! Oh my god! She has gained her consciousness. I have to stop myself from crying.

" Mmhmm, okay. What is your name?"

" Sage Mar. . . Hades Romano. Sage Hades Romano." She whispers, looking around the room again.

Is she looking for Hades?

" How old are you Sage?"

She looks at the doctor confused for a minute before she looks down at her fingers, counting something silently.

" Twenty-three I guess." She mumbles.

" What is your brother's name, Sage?"

" Shawn."

" Sister's?"

" Sabrina."

" Who is your best friend?"

" Elliot Princeton."

" Who was your fiancé?"

" Enrique Princeton, but he left me because I was raped." She whispers with a blank face.

" Who is your husband?"

" Hades Romano." She says, wiping away her tears.

" Looks like she remembers everything. Do you have any questions?" The doctor looks back at me and Elliot.

" Nope, she is good." Elliot answers.

" Okay, then. Mrs. Romano, we will run some tests on you, and you have to be under observation for a few days. So, I think we'll assign a nurse for you here." He says as Sage nods meekly.

" I better get going. Hope for Sage's speedy recovery." He says, shaking my hand before he picks his stuff up and walks out of my room.

I sigh, slowly sitting on the bed beside Sage. She looks at me with teary eyes before placing her head on my shoulder.

" You were out for two days. I really got scared." I mumble, holding her hand into mine.

" Was Enrique telling the truth that day?" She whispers as my blood runs cold.

No. Sage can't know of that. She will hate me. She will think I'm a monster.

" Shawn?" She questions.

I glance at Elliot to see him shaking his head. He knows Sage will never forgive us. But . . . How long are we going to hide this from her? How long will she be lied to from her own family? She will lose trust in me if I don't tell her the truth.

" Yes, but I didn't touch the Romano women. I know that pain and I will die before inflicting it on anyone." I say, caressing her cheek.

No matter how heartless I become, I can't put anyone through what my Sage has suffered.

" And S-sean?" She whispers, flinching back even at his name.

" We tortured him to moon and back. And we will. You're really innocent, Sage, you always forgive evil people. But we will not let them get away with it." Elliot says.

Sage smiles, shocking both of us.

" Good. Make sure to give him a slow, painful death, not an easy one. Make sure he regrets every breath he has taken. I want him to go through the exact pain I have suffered." Sage says, her eyes red in tears.

My head snaps towards Elliot as I glare at him.

" The drug was expired, right? You made me smoke expired drugs!" I scream at him.

" No! I swear I got it fresh yesterday. But I think it was expired. It has to be." Elliot scratches his head.

" It's not the drugs! I'm saying this for real." Sage glares at him as her button nose turns red.

I couldn't believe my ears. Was this Sage speaking?! A part of me was shocked but the other was definitely proud. They have broken her to this extent and now they will suffer her wrath.

" I want to kill Sean myself." Sage says, as she throws the covers off her, stepping out of the bed.

" Sage, are you sure?" I grab her arm, asking her gently.

I don't want her to do all this hurriedly and then feel guilty later on. I can't allow her to hurt herself. I know Sage, she is very kindhearted, eventually she will feel guilty of it and will drown in guilt. I cannot let her self esteem drown.

" I won't regret it, Shawn. Instead, it will make me feel much better." She whispers.

" Alright." I nod.

As much as I hate to let her near those bastards, Sage needs a closure. She needs to stand up for herself so she doesn't live in their fear for her entire life.

" Meh! I was about to sue the drug dealer for selling us expired stuff." Elliot shrugs, opening the door for us.

" You would take him to the court for selling you expired drugs?" I raise an eyebrow at him, amused.

" Yeah! I'm very strict about my money." Elliot says when he notices Sage looking at him.

" Not for you, baby. I'll buy you the world." He says, giving her a flying kiss.

Sage meekly ignores him, clutching onto my pinky finger as we walk down the stairs.

As expected, our family was standing in the living room looking at us anxiously. I felt Sage's grip tighten as we walked down.

" Sage." Sabrina gasps, pulling Sage into a hug.

" I was so worried about you, my princess." Sabrina sobs, planting small kisses all over Sage's face.

" You're so kind, Sabrina." Sage smiles.

" You sure she got her memory back?" Elliot whispers to me.

Sabrina smiles widely, embracing Sage again.

" Now I know who to call when I'm fighting between life and death, because I know my sister will always support the truth." Sage's icy words cut through Sabrina's heart as her smile faded.

" Sage." Jared Martinez says, taking a step towards her.

" Oh! My sperm donor, sorry I was unconscious for so many days. Now, I'm alright. You can sell me to some random man for money again." Jared stumbled back, looking at Sage with sad eyes.

" You're my daughter." He whispers.

" I hate you," Sage hissed.

She looks back at me as I immediately take her hand, leading her to the door of the basement. Elliot opens it with his keys before we walk down the spiral stairs. Opening the door to the main room, I step in with Sage behind me.

She clutches my arm, peeking her head out to see. Sean was chained to the wall, all bloodied with his sister and mother. Hades was chained to a chair, blood dripping from his lips.

" Look who is here to meet you, bastards?" Elliot announces, as they look up at us.

" Tell us, princess. What should we do to them?" Elliot asks, leaning against the wall.

Sage looks at Sean, her face twisting into anger as she glares at him.

" Dip his hands into boiling oil. Those hands have caused me a lot of pain, I want them to suffer." Sage says, as Sean looks at her with wide eyes.

" Sage! I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Forgive me." Sean screams.

" Then skin him, but don't let him die. Keep him alive. Put him into a container with all kinds of bugs and insects. I want him to feel the agony as they nibble on his flesh."

I felt a shiver run down my spine at her words. Whoa!

" SAGE! Forgive my son, please." Mrs.Romano cries, but Sage ignores her gracefully.

" What about these two?" Elliot rolls his eyes, gesturing towards Mrs.Romano and Sofia.

" Please. Let us go." Sofia cries.

" Put them somewhere they learn to understand other's pain and quit being selfish." She mumbles.

" Nun?" One of Elliot's man suggests.

Sage nods, agreeing to his words before her gaze drops to Hades. Something flashes into her eyes, it wasn't anger or disappointment like others, it was something else. Something like . . . Love?

" What about this bastard? We haven't done much to him yet?" Elliot says, pulling Hades' hair.

Sage and Hades look into each other's eyes, completely ignoring everyone else. I could see them melting in each other's gaze.

Sage looks away, before she silently walks out.

" She's tired, I guess. Hey! Prepare the hot oil." Elliot says, wiggling his eyebrow at Sean.

I look at Hades before following Sage outside. She was in my room, sitting on the bed silently.

" Sage, are you alright?" I ask, sitting near her.

She looks up at me with teary eyes before shaking her head.

" Don't hurt Hades." She whispers.

" Sage! He drugged you, my love. He threw you into that cheap asylum, he manipulated you, cheated on you, raped you, drove you out of your sanity." I say, cupping her cheeks.

I didn't want to count her sufferings as they might trigger her but she needs to know that he is a monster.

" I know, brother but a part of me still loves him. It isn't easy to forget someone, it isn't no matter what others say. You cannot just delete them from your heart." She cries.

Oh Sage! I know she isnt at fault. She loves so deeply and so purely that it ends up hurting her. I know it won't be easy for her to let go of Hades. It took her so many years to get over Enrique.

" I know he was wrong for what he did but wouldn't you do the same if someone accused me of something without proof? I'm not justifying his actions, he was wrong for all he he but I love him and you can call me crazy for that." She sobs, looking at me with those sad eyes.

" What do you want us to do with him because I won't let him go." I say sternly, wiping away her tears.

" Just don't hurt him, I won't be able to bear it. Anything other than that is fine." She whispers, climbing into my embrace.

-FEW WEEKS LATER-

" Taking all the evidence and witnesses into regard, the court has concluded that Hades Romano guilty for brutally murdering his brother."

" Hades Romano is guilty for torturing his brother for multiple days before he decided to kill him in an inhumane way. There were also multiple illegal activities happening within his business. As such, this court announces a life-time imprisonment for Hades Romano."

The bang of the gavel echoed into the room as people stood up, walking out. Sage and I sat on the bench, our fingers tightly intertwined as we both took a moment to soak this all in.

This is it! Sean is dead, Hades is imprisoned. Sage got her justice! She finally got her justice!

" We did it," she whispers.

" We did." I crack a smile.

We did it, mumma! We served justice to, Sage. Are you proud of us?

I stood up, placing my arm on her shoulder as we walked out of the court room. Hades was standing at the door with his hands bound into handcuffs and multiple police officers surrounding him.

" Two words with Sage, please." He whispers, his voice hoarse and heavy.

Sage stood in front of him, looking at him with sad eyes.

" I'm sorry, my love. I know a sorry isn't enough, but I will spend the rest of my life in regret for ignoring your love and care. You loving me was the most beautiful thing that had ever happened to me. I will forever cherish our memories. I love you." He says, as tears pool into his eyes.

" I love you more!" Sage cries as she steps forward, slowly placing her lips on his.

She slowly steps back, looking at him with pain.

" Goodbye, it is, sweetcheeks." Hades says, with a little smile as the officers drag him away.

She looks at him with teary eyes as they drag him into the police vehicle.

" Hey! You good?" I ask, hugging her.

" Yeah, just a little overwhelmed." She shrugs.

" Let's go to a luxury restaurant and send the bill to Elliot." I say, as she giggles.

" That sounds cool!" She smiles.

This was easy then we thought. We killed Sean as per Sage had instructed, the Romano women were sent to a institution where they would practice to be nuns for the rest of their lives without any luxury.

Hades out of guilt agreed to whatever we asked him to do. He confessed of murdering Sean and confessed his other illegal businesses too. Before handing himself over to the police, he transferred his billions worth of property and money on Sage's name.

At last, my baby is free.
