I stare at my hands as I gave no answers to any of his questions. My hands now sweating. I felt the dryness hit my throat and I held my frustration filled tears inside. I was sitting next to a guy who Assaulted me years ago.

To which my parents called me a liar. To which my parents supported James because he was a cop because he was nice to them. He put Alex, My Alex ! under the police inspection because He was the one who saved me!

James falsely accused Alex of under the influence of drugs. I clenched my jaw.

I had to live two years without him. Because he had to flee the city. It brought such big joy when I saw him. When he changed his identity, When he sought the help of bad people, really bad people People who kill, who turned out to help him than the police who are supposed to help people.

I had sent Alex into destroying his youth, I had held him from living a normal life. It was all my fault. It was my fault he was like this. And I would never forgive myself.

"Liliyan" I look at him. His eyes staring straight on the road. "Someday, you are gonna have to talk to me. I can be scary you know" I looked away. "Are you going to rape me?"

"What?! Lilyan, Stop it. I am not a rapist" He said. Badly trying to explain how he would never think of that.

"But you almost did it" I whispered. The voice staying only near my ears.

I never spoke to him after that. I only completed my given work and he dropped me back at my house. But before I could walk in. He grabbed my upper arm roughly pulling me near his body. I gasp, whimpering as I looked at the ground my eyes close.

"You better be a good girl now. Don't want me to teach you a lesson" He suddenly let's go as we both hear a car pulling up on the driveway. I step away and I see my parents walkout. My very first instinct would be to go run to my mother.

But I wanted to get away from them as well.

"Oh! James. " He smiled, "Hello. How are you doing! " My mother shook his hands after my father.

"We are so glad to see you helping my daughter. Why don't you come in for some tea" He chuckled nodding.

"Lilyan?" Mom called as they all walk through the door. I gulp stepping back, "I-I have to go see Mary. We have to decide-" I paused, "Decided how to do our hair" I said.

My mother rose her brows. "You can do that later now come serve James some tea" I bite my lip. The pain of my teeth better than the pain my heart felt.

"Its alright Miss Ruby. She should have her own fun too" My mother smiled. "Of course. Coe back home in an hour" I nodded walking, running towards my couisn's house. Which was five minutes away.

But I didn't go at her house. She wasn't the nicest. But I had no where to go. My eyes pouring down tears as I stare at their house. Contemplating whether I should go in or not.

"Lily?" I turned my head to see Mary. Two big bags in her hands as she stared at me, In confusion and her brows in crease and her lips purse. "What are doing? Are you crying?" I sniffed rubbing my tears off.

"Um- No" She stared at me for a second before walking past me. I closed my eyes letting more tears run by. I heard her steps stop and she turned around to face me. "What are you doing?! Come in. My parents aren't home." I bite my lip getting in.

"Your parents are always acting like paranoid people" She said pour a glass of water for me.

"What did they do now? Ask you to stop showering?" I chuckle. She leaned on the counter for minute before taking out boxes from the bags.

"Help me, I am making crowns for the flower girls" I take the wires and start helping her. "You know I never liked you from the start but I did feel bad for you. Your parents somehow hated me for dating a guy" I smirk.

"Imagine my life then" I said and she chuckle. "Poor you. I saw you with Mr. James Brownston? ISn't he the most dashing looking gentlemen in this village?"

I didn't respond.

"Perfect family, Perfect job. Perfect ways to get away with anything" I look her dead in her eyes and she glanced at me once before looking down and giving me beads and flowers to start the crowns.

I was looking through the area when I see Rose, Rose with Aiden Miller, They were talking. I walked towards them without any second thought, I couldn't stand watching her talk with him.

I see his eyes lift from hers to mine and I go stand right behind her. Her back press lightly against my chest and she suddenly went stiff.

"Back in the city so soon Aiden?" He smiled, "Rose, Carrie is looking for you" she nodded walking to the back room. I stare at him, my jaw clenched.

"She's isn't one of your toys." He rose his hands up and smiled. "Alright. But give me a reason?" I held myself back from punching him right in his face," She belongs to me. You keep your eyes off that girl. Or you'll find yourself in the same position I put your brother in" He took a step back, this time his smile fading.

"Then take care of her ," He said walking out. I looked around noticing some men following him. I stare at Coby as he noticed them at the door. I nodded towards the door and we follow him outside.

"What the fuck does he think, he's doing?" He asked as we look at him talking to someone inside a blue car. He left with 2 men. But two others got into a different car.

They did not leave. "They are keeping an eye on someone aren't they" I nodded.
