Chapter 13- Intimate
First date? Success.
I never thought that one human being could make me feel exhilarated, calm, special and beautiful all in one night. My tummy hurt from all the laughing I did, not to mention the food that filled it too. Conversation with him was light, easy and very interactive.
He actually allowed me to speak too, and that meant a lot to me. On dates I've had in the past, men usually talked the whole time about themselves, simply because they wanted to impress me. But in reality, I only am impressed when I see the true nature of someone instead of what they portray falsely in order to get what they want. I did a crash course in psychology, so I could see right through them.
However, with Tristan, I had a challenge. The fact that I had to spend time with him in order to learn more about him spiked my interest.
He had a certain way of being natural, that you don't know what to expect from him. It really drew me in more and more each day as I fell deeper and deeper for him.
I had to admit, at first I was definitely attracted to him simply because he had a certain dangerous aura about him, and the sexual tension that was coming off him was irresistible. No wonder I kissed him only after knowing him for less than a week. However, it was safe to say that what started out as mere sexual attraction, spiralled into something more--something special. He caught my interest.
And I was eager to see where it went.
"So tell me Cianna-" he started conversation again, pulling me away from my thoughts. "-what is your biggest dream?"
I bit my lip as I gazed out the window in thought. It was almost midnight, and Tristan was driving us home from the wonderful date we just had. I hated that it had to end, but I cherished the few moments I had driving home with him until we dispersed to our separate rooms.
I pondered on all the dreams I've developed over the years. I had a lot of free time to think about it after I started working from home, so there were quite a lot. Nonetheless, I managed to settle on one in particular that I could label as my 'biggest' dream.
"Ever heard of Bangkok?" I asked, slightly turning around to face him. He quickly glanced at me before fixing his gaze back on the road.
"As in the capital of Thailand?" I nodded in confirmation before continuing.
"It's a beautiful city, and I've always dreamt of going back there" I sighed in content as I pictured myself on the top of one of those towers.
"So you've been there before?" Tristan asked, and I hummed in response before elaborating.
"My parents brought me there when I was barely three years old, so I have little memory of the place except pictures I've seen. I want to make memories there one day" I told him truthfully as I gazed at him.
He had a small smile playing on his lips after I ended, and I noticed he had a distant look in his eyes, as if he left and went somewhere.
"Earth to Tristan" I chuckled as I waved my hand in front of his eyes.
He blinked a few times before he quickly made a sharp turn to the right on the lane where his house was, after almost missing it. I chuckled lightly at his slip up but decided not to say anything.
"Dreams are meant to come true you know?" He mumbled suggestively, causing me to smile in content.
"A girl can hope"
We sat in comfortable silence as we drove the rest of the way back to his house. I intertwined my hand in his and rested it on my thigh again, loving the feeling of having his hand in mine. Perhaps it was now a habit of ours to drive like this, and I didn't mind it one bit.
Disappointment dawned on me when we pulled into his driveway and he disconnected our hands to help me out. Butterflies frolicked in my stomach at his gentle touch to my waist, which only made me want to stay in his arms even longer. It made me wish that the night would never end, but as my dad always says, all good things must come to an end.
He led me up to the room where I stayed, and I turned around to face him once we were standing at the doorway. I tucked a lock of hair behind my ears shyly as I pondered on what to say to him.
"Tonight was fun-"
"I really enjoyed tonight" We both said at the same time.
I pulled my bottom lip between my teeth as I tried to contain a giggle, and I gestured for him to go ahead.
"I had fun tonight. Going out was really refreshing and eye opening"
"I agree. We should really do this again sometime" I suggested with a small shrug. It was quite obvious that we both enjoyed the night, so I could only assume that he would want to do it again.
"Is that a second date I'm hearing?" He smirked playfully, placing his hand around his ears in a listening gesture. I simply giggled before rising on my tiptoes to give him a small kiss. Despite the length I gained in heels, I still had to achieve a little more to reach his lips.
"That is definitely a second date" I mumbled against him, his eyes bright with adoration.
I left another lingering kiss against his now plump and sweet lips, and his hands snaked their way around my waist as we gazed at each other intensely.
"Goodnight," he whispered with a small gentle smile
"Goodnight Tristan."
We waited for someone to pull away first or to move apart so we could go to our separate beds. But instead, we stayed put, staring like hawks as our breaths grew heavier.
A long but never lost desire ignited in me like a flame, but it never burned. I knew I wasn't alone, because the colour in his eyes dropped a shade when his arms got tighter around me.
I felt glued to him, the only movement being us inching closer to each other. We didn't have to say anything, because once our lips connected and the erotic want flooded my veins, I knew there was no going back as I pulled him into my room and kicked the door shut, not once breaking our fascinating, breath-taking kiss.
