Sometimes I thought I knew Damon but sometimes I still don't really understand him. Just like today. It was as if he was very angry at what had just happened. It seems that just now he almost cursed me because I left without his permission.

Why is he making me feel this way? Doesn't he know that by simply showing me kindness, I'm slowly falling for him?

"Fine...you can organize my brother's death anniversary," he said with a sigh. I realized what he said. Is what I heard true? I turned to him. His eyes were staring deeply into me. I swallowed hard.

“Is…that true?” I asked in amazement. He slowly nodded. I couldn't stop being happy with what he said. Because I know this time the door to his heart is opening for me. Should I gamble?

"T-Thank you, Damon..." I completely faced him and looked at him sincerely. He raised an eyebrow and pulled me closer to him as if the distance between the two of us was so far it wasn’t.

"Why is this a big deal to you anyway?" he asked curiously. I bit my lower lip. I saw his eyes follow my lips.

"I just want to help you. This event is…important to you, right?” I said while looking at him. His face changed. His face hardened as if a memory darkened his face. Is there a problem?

"Is there...something wrong?" I asked him. He took a deep breath.

"I will never...forget the day when my brother died, Athena," he said steely. I feel like he's not telling me something. I feel that there is a great mystery behind the accident that caused Alpha Devon's death.

"Do you think...it wasn't an accident?" I asked hesitantly. I thought he would get angry again at my question, but he just kept staring at me. If he thinks that his brother's death was no accident, then the death of the woman he first loved was no accident either. Now, I am curious. I don't know Damon's first love yet. I can't even see her picture.

Damon stroked my cheek. I closed my eyes to the warmth and softness of his touch on my skin. I feel like he's pulling me to sleep.

"My brother...don’t die in just an accident. I know there's something more to it…” he whispered.
