Fuck! He wanted to make her happy, wanted to tell her how much he loved her, wanted to show her how much she meant to him. No matter how hard he tried, however, he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. “I’m full,” she said.

She hadn’t eaten much, he thought. She needed to increase her appetite. He decided he’d need to talk to the chef back at the penthouse about specific menus for her meals. She was a little on the thin side for his liking, and he worried about her health.

“So,” he said, cocking his head to one side. “Where did you meet Mia?”

She flicked her eyes to him in pleasant surprise. “Oh.” She blushed and shyly smiled at him. “I met her at the mall today, and yes, I got a text from her. She’s very nice, William. We’re going to be friends.”

William’s heart skipped a beat at the lovely smile and then ached something sorely. Oh fuck. It was fucking painful being in love and not voicing it.

Savanah stared long and hard at his chest, at the dark-blue tie resting there as she said, “We’re in the restaurant.”

He laughed. “You’re shy all of a sudden. I’ll change that when we’re out of here.”

He felt her shiver at his words, and he was more than pleased.

He took her hand and led her out toward the stairs that’d lead them out of the restaurant.

“Wait,” Savanah said breathlessly. “Wait, William. Slow down. I can’t walk that fast in these heels.”

Savanah was indeed grateful for his consideration. At the same time, however, she was more than a little nervous at the prospect of what was about to happen once they had gotten back to the penthouse.

Savanah sneaked a peek at the man beside her, driving the sports car. She marveled at his angelic form and wondered yet again why he’d buy her and keep her at his side of all the beautiful girls he had met. Surely there’d be numerous women waiting impatiently for his approval to be by his side? As far as she knew, she was his first and only mistress and pet. Sure, he had flings here and there; she knew that. What billionaire didn’t?

An abrupt turning of the car followed by a sudden halt made Savanah gasp in fright. Her heart was racing as she looked about her in confusion. She noted that they were in a small corner of a street within the city. In the distance, vehicles flew by and people were going about their nightlife.

William switched off the engine and turned to her. Savanah noted that his eyes were dark when he said, “Stop looking at me like that.”

“What?” she asked, confused.

He smiled darkly. “You’re begging me to continue, sweetheart.”

Savanah’s body went weak all of a sudden. “I wasn’t begging,” she said softly.

William moved toward her and kissed her on the lips. Savanah sighed and closed her eyes, savoring the taste, smell, and touch of the man she loved to the deepest part of her soul, the man she knew was so stubborn and cold that she knew no matter how warm and deep her love was for him, she could never reach him. This was enough, she told herself. At least she was with him, receiving his kisses and his touches and the pleasure he gave her. Those were her beautiful moments, and she’d cherish them.

When he moved his head back, she whispered, “William? Not here. We’re in the car.”

He wasn’t listening to her, however, as he moved his lips down her throat, kissing and licking her sensitive skin. He peeled down the collar of her dress and cupped his hand about her breast.
