No One’s POV

“Is this the time when you wake up?”, Sarah asked Grace, as soon as she entered the kitchen.

“No! But I overslept today.”, Grace replied. “By the way good morning.”

“Oh sorry! Good morning”, Sarah apologized sheepishly. “So where were we? Umm yea! You overslept and Zayden didn’t say a word about it?”, she asked curiously. She knew that he was very strict at the time. He hates those who sleep till late in the morning, no matter what, he had ordered everyone to wake up early in the morning.

“No! Why?”, Grace asked politely, wondering what was the problem in waking up late when she slept late last night.

“She is asking because everyone knows how much my brother hates those people who sleep till late in the morning.”, There came the voice of Allison. “Anyways, Good morning, Grace.”

“Good morning to you too.”, Grace wished her and changed the topic back to the previous one which they were discussing. “I don’t think he should get mad at me for waking up late because it’s completely his fault. He didn't let me sleep at night because of which I couldn’t wake up early in the morning.”, She blamed Zayden but it lasted for a very short time. It was now that she realized her mistake.

‘Did I just mention something that stupid?’, She wondered and smacked herself internally. ‘Now they will think of all the other things we do at night.’ Her eyes instantly fell on Allison and saw her smiling while looking at the floor. Grace literally hit her head with her plan for being such an idiot. But when her eyes landed on Sarah, she forgot to curse herself, wondering why Sarah looked angry all of the sudden?

To hide herself from getting embarrassed more, Grace took out milk from the refrigerator to prepare tea for Zayden and herself. That’s when she observed Sarah was preparing coffee and two cups were placed nearby.

“So you guys like coffee?”, She initiated the conversation.

“Yes.”, Allison replied immediately. “...but not this black poison which she is preparing. I HATE IT.”, Allison said, making the weird expression. Grace chuckled at her childishness and choice of words.

“So, you will drink two cups of black coffee?”, Grace asked, with a raised brow.

“No! One’s for me and the other is for Zayden.”, Sarah said.

Grace took a double look at her.

“Oh thanks. I was just about to make tea for him. He likes to have it every morning from my hand.”, Grace said awkwardly, not knowing what to make of what Sarah did.

‘Maybe she made coffee for him as a friend. But isn’t she Allison’s friend? But then, I even prepare tea for Blake’s friends. Yes. I shouldn’t doubt her.’, Grace concluded, obvious to the fact that Sarah indeed had feelings for her husband.

Sarah was about to ask her to repeat what she just said. Zayden likes tea? That too milk tea? It wasn’t true according to her. Sarah knew for sure that he loves black coffee with sugar. But before she could have said it, Allison beat her.

“Wow! That’s something new.”, Allison commented. “I didn’t know that my brother changed his taste and shifted from black poison to tea.”, She said with a dreamy smile. Though it was not a big thing, Grace didn’t like the fact that till now, she had no idea about her husband’s likes and dislikes while a stranger knew it.

Allison would have said more but Zayden entered the kitchen. “Sweetheart, my tea.”, He said, the moment he came inside. He didn’t know the reason but he could smell Grace’s sadness and to bring a smile on his wife, he went straight to Grace and hugged her from behind.

All the previous thoughts wiped from Grace’s mind when she felt his hands on her waist. If they were alone, she wouldn’t have resisted. But, knowing that Allison and Sarah were in the kitchen as well, she felt shy and embarrassed. She slapped his hand.

“Och!”, He faked being hurt.

“Behave.”, She muttered and glared at him. Allison smiled, looking at them, and left the kitchen, giving them some privacy. While Sarah stood there, witnessing her mate lovingly teasing some other woman who was not her. She had always imagined herself at Grace’s place. But, seeing someone else filling her place, she couldn’t help but feel hatred for Grace.

Zayden glared at Sarah when he smelt her emotions. He intentionally pulled her close to him.

“We are married, sweetheart. And I am sure, Sarah won’t mind us kissing, isn’t Sarah?”, Zayden asked to which she nodded and turned her back to the couple.

“Zayden, I swear, you will be sleeping outside the room if you will keep embarrassing me in front of guests.”, Grace threatened but unfortunately, her threat excited him more. He pecked her lips as a reply, making sure to produce the inevitable kissing sound. He wanted Sarah to hear that and realize that he was out of the limit now. She better accepts the rejection and moves on in her life rather than using cheap tricks to get what was never her.

“My tea?”, He asked Grace.

Before she could reply, Sarah turned around and replied.

“I have made coffee for you, just the way you like.”, She said and was about to give the cup when he interrupted.

“Sweetheat, where is my tea?”, He asked coldly, not liking the fact that she was still trying. Couldn’t she get this straight in the mind that he didn’t have to do anything with her? While Grace became stiff hearing his cold voice after so many days. He was back to how he used to be. And she didn’t want to mess up with the older and angry version of him.

“Almost prepared.”, She replied in a low tone, trying not to make him angry. He looked at her and decided to drop her anger when she was clueless about everything.

“I will be waiting for you on the dining table.”, he said before leaving the kitchen. Grace was surprised by his action.

‘Why was he so angry by the fact that Sarah made coffee for him?’, She thought. She then looked at Sarah who looked sad.

“Please don’t mind him, Sarah. Zayden can be an idiot sometimes but he didn’t mean to hurt you. Trust me. He…”

“Oh, just shut up. Don’t tell me what kind of person he is. What do you know about him? Nothing! So stop explaining to me as if you know him more than me!”, Sarah spat and left the kitchen as well.

“What happened to her?”, She asked herself.

“Here.”, Grace placed the tea on the table before Zayden.

“Sit with me, please.”, He insisted.

“Wow! You are asking instead of ordering.”, She exclaimed.

“I know my tone was rude But I couldn’t help it.”, Zayden accepted his mistake. Grace stared at him for a while and left from there to bring her tea. And then sat beside him to drink the tea. Zayden wanted to tell the reason behind his rude behavior but he didn’t tell her the truth because he was scared Grace would happily let Sarah have her way with him. He knew. Grace wasn’t the type to fight for him, not until she fell in love with him.

They were having their tea silently, that's when they heard the sound of Allison.

“Do you know brother, I thought Grace was kidnapped last night when I didn’t find her on the bed.”, Allison came downstairs from Grace’s room, which was allotted to her for a while.

“Oh shit!”, Grace cursed under her breath. She knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Now, what was she going to tell her? That her brother took her in his arms late at night and made her sleep with him!

‘No way.’, She thought.

Zayden took another sip of tea and winked at his wife’s miserable condition.

“Why did you leave, Grace?”, Allison asked innocently, as if she didn’t see her brother taking her last night.

“I was not feeling sleepy on that bed. That’s why I came back to my room. I am so sorry, Allison. I didn’t want to ditch you.”, She lied, forgetting that her lies could be smelt by both Zayden and Allison.

Allison took a seat in front of them, with a smirk on her face. “And there I thought that I dreamt about him carrying you out of the room!”, She teased her, making Grace’s eyes pop out like soccer.

“You saw?”, Grace stared at her with wide eyes.

“We are werewolves, sweetheart. Our sleep is like dogs.”, Zayden laughed wholeheartedly at the cute lies of Grace.

“In time”, Allison said, looking at Eric who had a packet in his hand. “Breakfast is here.”

“Let me…”, Grace was about to stand to serve it. That’s when Allison stopped her. “I will serve it. You both can enjoy your tea together.”

“What are we waiting for?”, Zayden asked restlessly as he noted that no one was eating breakfast.

“Sarah hasn't come yet and we are waiting for her!”, She said.

“No need. She is not a child. She can eat later whenever she wants.”, Zayden said rudely.

“Zayden!She is our guest!!”, Grace exclaimed. She knew Zayden was always rude with others but she didn’t appreciate this behavior of his even a bit.

“So? My stomach doesn’t care whether she is a guest or not. Plus I have a lot of important work to do rather than waiting for a guest.”, he replied sarcastically, so that Grace wouldn’t mind his rudeness.

“I am sorry if I am late.”, Sarah finally came here, holding something in her hand. Grace looked at her and smiled at her.

“What’s in your hand?”, Allison asked, looking at the little box in her hand.

“That is Zayden’s favorite dish. You forgot to order it. So, I did.”, She replied with a smile. Zayden wondered what his favorite dish was? He loved eating almost everything. But the moment the lid of the box was opened, he came to know what the dish was.

He closed his eyes in frustration, trying to control his anger. He had asked Allison not to order non-vegetarian because Grace was pure vegetarian and she did what he had told her but Sarah being Sarah, had to do something stupid.

“Grace, pack my breakfast. I will eat it later. I am late.”, he said in a serious tone.

“But..”

“Please”, he said, stressing on it, leaving no room for further discussion. Grace nodded silently. That's what Zayden likes more about Grace. She behaves accordingly by checking his mood, instead of behaving like the irritating wife.

After a moment, she followed him to the main door of the house. Zayden turned around and hugged her as a goodbye. Grace kissed him on the cheek.

“Still here.”, He complained, pointing at the fact that she still was too shy to kiss him on the lips. She gave a weak smile and looked away, only to find Eric giving her a small smile. She smiled back at him. “Don’t look at him in this way.”, he said to which she rolled her eyes at his stupid jealously.

“Bye now. You are getting late.”, She said, pushing him slightly.

“Bye, sweetheart.”, Zayden said, not before giving her a forehead kiss. Once he left, Grace narrowed her eyes wondering about his weird behavior for Sarah.

She walked back to the table, Sarah was not there while Allison was eating her breakfast. Grace sat behind her and asked her.

“Allison, why is Zayden so cold toward Sarah?”, She asked in a low tone.

“Anyone will get mad if their past tries to ruin the present. Sarah is brother’s fated mate, but his ex-mate. And you are his chosen mate, his present and future.”, Allison answered, munching her breakfast.

“It means she is the one who is destined to be him and chosen by the Moon goddess for him?”, Grace asked with a heavy heart.

“She was, Grace. She was.”, Allison corrected her. “I know you are sweet and kind, Grace but don’t start thinking about giving your mate to Sarah, okay?”, She said before leaving the dining table.

James stood outside the door wondering whether he should get in or not? A loud sound of moaning could be heard from outside the room, leaving no imagination as to what was going inside. He knew Wyatt was with one of his whore.

He didn’t want to intrude on their moment. But Wyatt had given strict orders to inform him about his sister as soon as any news arrived. And now, James was facing a great dilemma about what to do.

Forgetting about the consequences, he knocked at the door. The sound of moaning immediately stopped and after a few seconds, he heard his boss’s threatening voice.

“What?”, Wyatt shouted from inside his room, not liking the disturbance when his whore was so close to his release.

“Master, news about your sister has arrived. I..I thought you would like to know.”, he said hesitantly.

Wyatt’s eyes widened and a smile appeared upon his lips. God knows, after how long any news about his sister had come upon his door. He immediately bit that woman, she cried in pain and tried to push Wyatt but failed. After a few minutes, she stopped struggling and soon stopped breathing. He wiped the blood which was on his lips and stood up from the top of the dead woman and stepped upon the cold floor. Within a second, he wore the pants and came out of the room wearing only his pants and faced James.

“What news?”, he demanded.

“It’s about your sister.”, James repeated.

“I heard you earlier. What is the news?”, He asked urgently.

“It seems like she has come here from Zayden’s pack.”, Wyatt went silent for a while. But, as the word sunk in his mind, a wide smile came upon his lips.

“Are you sure?”, he asked.

“Positive, Master. The men have some pictures that they took when she arrived in this town.”, James informed and showed him some pictures of Allison.

“Oh my god!”, Wyatt couldn’t believe that his sister had grown up so much. She didn’t look like a teenager anymore but more like a grown-up woman. “Great. Now, find out where she would be going tomorrow? Or whenever. I need to know about her plans….and remember, Zayden shouldn’t know about the fact that I know about Allison. You got that?”, Wyatt instructed.

“Yes, Master.”, James nodded. “By the way, master, why don’t you invite her here to live with you? I am sure she won’t deny. After all, she is your sister.”, James asked out of curiosity.

Wyatt gave him a good glare which made him leave the spot immediately.

How could he explain the kind of relationship which he had with her sister? His only sister was now so close, yet so far from his reach! And everything because of his so-called elder brother, Zayden. Zayden always made sure that, not even his shadow should linger near her.

Now, he had to make a plan to meet Allison and for that, all he had to do was divert Zayden’s attention to his wife.

But the important question for him was, ‘Do Allison want to meet him?’
