Like a thief
Third Person’s POV

“I...I am at Ace Club with Allison.”, She replied in a low tone.
Zayden closed his eyes in frustration. He knew the culprit already. When his men's mind linked him that they were not able to find out Luna or Allison, he knew who could have fooled them.
“What happened, Zayden?”, She asked when Zayden didn’t say anything from the other side of the phone, as he was mind linking the details to his men.
“Nothing!”, He kept his answer short to keep his anger in check.
“Your mood seems….bad!”, She commented.
“Would you mind lighting my mood?”, He joked.
Grace instantly lowered her head in embarrassment as if Zayden was in front of her. ‘How could he think so dirty all the time?’, She questioned herself.
“Umm...why did you ask my location when Allison had already informed you about it?”, She asked, changing the topic. These days, she doesn't miss any chance of talking to him.
“Why don’t you guess yourself?”, He gave him a clue.
“Maybe because you might not have heard her at that time or maybe you yourself wanted to come here to receive us?”, She guessed. Zayden couldn’t help but chuckle at her innocence. How could she not figure out Allison's lies?
“You want me to come there to receive you both?”, Zayden asked, even though he hated visiting such places. He loved calm and peaceful places.
“Aaa...I didn’t mean that. I just guessed it because most of the people here are couples.”
“All right then. I will be there in half an hour, sweetheart.”
“Za…”, The line from the other side got disconnected before Grace would have said anything. She stared at her phone for a while and smiled.

Grace sat back to her place from where she had left to receive the call. She looked for Allison and finally found her dancing on the dance floor childlessly. She could tell that Allison was not a good dancer but was enjoying her dance.
“Wow! I didn’t know that Allison had brought such a beautiful friend with her.”, Grace turned her face toward the source of the voice and saw a man sitting opposite her seat.
“I am not just her friend but her sister in law.”, Grace replied with a smile and also gave him a hint that she was off-limits.
“Well, in that case, nice to meet you Mrs….?”, the stranger left the sentence for her to fill up.
She hesitated to her name. But thinking this would look rude to finally share her name. “Grace Felton.”, The name before her marriage slipped from her mouth as she was not habitual to share her name as ‘GRACE ZAYDEN STAUNTON’.
“And yours?”, She asked instantly.
“My name is Wyatt...Wyatt Staunton.”, The stranger said with a smile.
‘Is ‘STAUNTON’ surname that common?’, Grace thought and observed the similarity between him and her husband for unknown reasons. Unfortunately, she didn’t find any but his smile. She noticed that the dimple appeared on his right cheek when he smiled just like Allison’s does.
Observing Grace’s expression, Wyatt knew that she was thinking something or was feeling doubtful that’s why he tried to read Grace’s mind.
Reading anyone’s mind was the gift that he had received when he was turned into a vampire. He tried to read her mind but unfortunately, he couldn’t read her mind. He looked around, to check whether his powers were working on others or not. But he could easily read anyone’s thoughts except...the beautiful lady sitting in front of him.
His earlier plan was to talk to his sister. It has been years since he had talked to her face-to-face. Of course, they had talked through the phone, but never got the courage to meet. He knew Zayden would literally kill him if he found him near Allison.
He had received the information of his sister's day out in the city without Zayden. He couldn’t leave this opportunity! But when he spotted his sister walking in the club, he couldn’t remove his eyes from the water walking beside her, who was looking like an angel. He immediately recognized her as Grace. He cursed slowly when he felt his dick getting tightened. Now, he understood why his bastard brother was head over heels for this woman. She was no model, he could see that. But there was this pure innocence and spark in her face that made him look only at her.
He knew how much Zayden treasured his mate. And if possible he would like to ruin Zayden’s only source of happiness as he ruined his. But he had no idea that his powers would not work on her.
While Wyatt was thinking all this, Grace’s eyes were on Allison who was about to be kissed by another stranger. Her eyes widened before she could have done something. Allison herself pushed him away and started walking toward the place where Grace was sitting.
“There Allison comes.”, Grace said with a smile, as she stood up and walked toward Allison to bring her because it seemed like Allison was drunk.
Wyatt’s heart started beating fast as he heard her. He knew he couldn’t show himself to Allison in front of Grace. If Allison gets to know that they two met, she would not hesitate to tell Zayden about this. And if Zayden gets informed about his actions, he would personally drill a hole in his head.
“You okay?”, Grace asked, when she reached near Allison.
“Hmm. Just a little hangover. But don’t worry. I am fine.”, Allison answered. “By the way, who was the guy sitting with you?”
“He…”, Grace turned back to see him but found no one. ‘Where did he go? That too this fast?’, She wondered. “He told me that he was one of your friends and his name was…”
“I missed you, sweetheart.”, Grace heard her husband’s voice in her ear.
“Zayden”, She slapped on his hand, who was hugging her from the back in front of everyone.
“Is my brother really here or am I dreaming?”, Allison asked giggling and touched Zayden’s cheek to confirm. The moment she saw her brother glaring at her, she knew he was indeed there and she had to be ready for her punishment.

“You are grounded for one week.”, Zayden announced the moment they reached home.
“But bro…”
“Two weeks.”, Allison didn’t dare to speak another word now. She just nodded her head. “You know that soon you are going to get married to Alpha Craig Potter. And since, you end up doing something that stupid in his club.”, He asked to which Allison didn’t say anything.
“We will talk about it tomorrow morning.”
Sarah smiled when Zayden turned toward Grace, thinking it was now her turn to get scolded by him.
“Sweetheart! If you are feeling tired then we can order dinner from outside.”, He asked softly, knowing how his innocent wife gets scared of his anger.
“No..No. I am not that tired.”

After Dinner
Since Zayden had some important work even after dinner, that’s why he left the house with Eric in his wolf form. Grace thought to check Allison who didn’t appear even for having dinner.
“Slept?”, Grace asked, softly touching Allison’s hair.
“I don’t want to get married, Grace. Neither any alpha or anyone”, She huffed and looked toward Grace. “Can you talk about it with bro?”
“Okay, I will do it but on one condition.”
“And what is that?”
“You will have to eat your dinner first.”
“He is lucky to have you in his life.”, Allison said, grabbing the dinner from a nearby table.
“Aaaa...why don’t you want to marry anyone?”, Grace quickly changed the topic.
“Because I don’t think I can fall in love again and I don’t want to spoil anyone’s life by marrying him. I am still over my past.”
“Oh!”, Grace mouthed. “Have you met that umm..Alpha Craig Potter?”,
“Not yet.”
“So, there is nothing wrong in meeting him at least for once?”, She suggested. “You know your brother more than me. He had never forced anything on me yet. So, there is no way he will force this wedding on you but atleast meet the guy which he has chosen for you.”
“And there I thought you would try to convince my brother to cancel this wedding plan. But you are trying to change my thoughts.”, Allison said in a serious tone.
“No..I..I..”
“And it actually worked, Grace.”, Allison said and smiled. “I will surely meet the guy before taking any final decision.”
“So, do you want me to sleep with you?”, Grace offered.
“Oh no, no, no, no! I don’t want my brother to sneak into my room like a thief again. So, thanks but no thanks.”
