Do you love your husband?

Third Person’s POV

“But why are we going there?”, Grace asked, packing her bags at the last moment.

“Because tomorrow is bro’s birthday and this is his first birthday after choosing her mate. So, the pack members wished their Alpha and their Luna to be in a packhouse at least for a day.”, Allison replied to her to which Grace started wondering what the packhouse would look like. Until now, she had stayed with Zayden when he was surrounded by hardly twenty werewolves. But in the packhouse, there were around one thousand werewolves from kids to old, male to female. Only she would be the only human in between them.

“Stop thinking so much, Grace. Everyone will love you.”, Allison said when she saw Grace was disturbed over something.

“You sure? I mean….I will be the only human among all the werewolves.”, She asked, feeling scared of rejection.

“Who said that you will be the only human there?”

“Huh?”

“There are many werewolves in the pack whose mate is human. So, trust me, you won’t be the only one.”, Allison assured her. Once the packing was done, Allison picked the topic which was disturbing her for the past few days. “Umm..Grace?”

“Hmm?”

“Bro seems tense from the last few days!”

“Yeah. He is dealing with some clients and seems like they are placing too many conditions.”

“Oh! And there I thought, there was some problem between you two.”

“Us? No. There are no such problems between us. At least not now. And, please don’t worry about our relationship. We are doing really fine.”

“In that case, when am I going to meet my niece or nephew?”, Allison asked with a smile on her face.

“What?”, Grace gasped at her sudden question.

“As soon as you say YES to meeting Alpha Craig.”, Zayden said as he entered the room to see what his mate was doing!. Coincidentally, he heard their conversation and couldn’t stop himself from speaking up.

“Zayden!!! Shut up.”, Grace scolded him as she didn’t want him to force Allison to meet that Alpha in any way.

“Really? That’s awesome.”, Allison chirruped.

“It means you are ready to meet Alpha Craig?”, Grace asked.

“Well, why not! You had also asked me to meet him at least once before rejecting this proposal.”, She replied and shrugged her shoulders.

“That’s great. So, when are you planning to meet him?”

“How about tomorrow? Bro will inform his parents and we can meet somewhere in a cafe or somewhere else.”

“I liked it.”

“And I liked the topic which you both were discussing before, i.e. about niece and nephew.”, Zayden commented in between a naughty smile.

“Get out of the room, Zayden.”, Grace ordered. Allison gasped at her audacity. Nobody means Nobody dares to order Zayden. But who was she kidding? Her brother was wrapped around Grace’s finger without her realization. Zayden pouted and was about to leave the kitchen when Allison stopped him.

“Bro, I was thinking if we can visit Grace's family before leaving for the pack?”, She asked, which immediately brought a big smile to Grace’s face. Her eyes filled with a sudden spark as the topic of her family came.

Grace didn’t place her desire of visiting her family in front of him, as she didn’t want him to wonder why she wanted to go there so frequently. Her happy expression didn’t go unnoticed by him.

“Okay.”, He said. He smiled when Grace gave him a full smile of gratitude. He felt bad for not even asking her if she wanted to visit her family. But then he thought they talked through the phone every day. He made a mental note to send her to her parent’s house every two weeks.

“Wow! Then after breakfast, we will be leaving for her parent’s house.”, Allison stated.

“All right.”, He said and left the room.

As soon as he left, Grace hugged Allison dearly. “Thank you so much, Ally! You have no idea how much you have made me happy!”, She said, as she thought about meeting her mother after so many days.

“Anything for you, Grace. It is nothing compared to what you have done for my brother.”

“What do you mean? I didn’t do anything for him! It has always been him who gave me everything. Everything that I have ever dreamt of!”

“You are so oblivious of everything, Grace!”, Allison said.

Grace asked her multiple times to explain what she meant but she just changed the topic saying that ‘she won’t understand’.

After breakfast

“Allison, call your sister in law. See, why she is taking so much time?”, Zayden said to his sister as soon as he checked the time.

“Okay, bro.”, Allison nodded and ran upstairs.

“You have changed so much, Zayden.”, he heard the sound of that woman whom he hates with a passion. “You never liked waiting for anyone but now you are waiting for that weak human.”

“GGgrrr”, Dominic didn’t like the words which Sarah used for Grace.

“I loved you even when you didn’t have your wolf and I still love you then why do you hate me so much?”, She begged him.

“Zayden”, Sarah placed her hand on his shoulder. The spark ran in their body like electricity but Zayden controlled himself from doing something stupid. He turned around and held her hand in his before speaking.

“I hate you because of this.”, He muttered in a disgusting tone. Sarah saw something and quickly pulled her hand away from his, after witnessing something so horrible in front of her eyes. “And this is the reason because of which I don’t feel anything for you even though you are my mate.”, he hissed.

By the time, Zayden turned around Grace and Allison were already downstairs. Grace knew that Zayden could smell her emotions. That's why she tried to keep a poker face and not to think anything but a part of her didn’t like the fact that her husband was holding some other woman's hand.

Zayden was about to scold them, that's when his eyes fell on his mate. His mouth fell open when he saw his wife looked too beautiful with slight make-up on her face. He knew who could have done that to her.

“We know she is looking awesome, Bro! No need to open your mouth like that.”, Allison joked as she saw how her brother was looking at her sister-in-law.

Zayden glared at his sister for being so blunt.

“Come on. We are already late.”, he stated. Everyone followed him outside the house where two cars were ready to leave. “Allison and Sarah, you both go in that car.”, He ordered while he directed Grace toward his personal one.

‘He always used to comment on how I look! But today, he hasn’t said anything yet.’, She thought and wondered why she was feeling bad about it?

“You look very beautiful, sweetheart.”, he said and a small smile appeared on her face. “But there is one problem.”, he added as he buckled her seat as was the custom between them.

“What?”, Grace asked instantly, wondering what was wrong? She was not familiar with doing make-ups. It was Allison who applied it on her face but she had double-checked everything, she looked fine when she left the room.

Zayden turned toward her and brought his hand towards her hair. With one click of his finger, he opened her bun and watched her hair fall.

“How many times have I told you to let your hair open.”, he said.

“Open hair catches dirt fast, zayden.”

He started the engine. “I won’t mind you washing your hair frequently.”, he said to which she shook her head. He would never listen to her on these things, would he?

“Zayden! You promised to stay here even for a night last time. Do you remember that?”, Grace’s mother reminded him when Zayden asked their permission to leave.

“But Mom…”

“Please, son!”, She requested. Zayden looked at his mate who was showing those puppy eyes to convince him. Zayden knew she loved it here and didn’t want to leave so early. Zayden struggled to think. Tomorrow, they had to leave for the packhouse for that they could travel the distance from her house as well and would ask Eric to bring their luggage.

“Okay, mom.”

“Thank you.”, Grace mouthed, who was standing behind her mother.

“So, what do you guys want to eat for dinner?”, Grace’s mom asked everyone.

Before anyone could answer, the doorbell rang and everybody looked toward the source of the sound. Grace wondered who it could be at this hour of the night. But the expressions of Allison, Sarah, and Zayden immediately changed when they smelled the vampire’s presence.

‘Keep your wolf in control and don’t do anything stupid. They are Grace’s family.’, Zayden ordered, to which Sarah and Allison nodded.

“I will get it.”, Grace’s mom said and walked toward the door to open it.

“Mom”, Everyone heard the sound of two women while Grace jumped happily from her place.

“Gia, Gina”, She happily runs toward the door to hug them

“As usual, you both would have already eaten your dinner.”, Grace’s mom mocked her two other sisters when they were in the kitchen, helping her to prepare the dinner.

“Yeah mom. By the way, why did you ask us to come here on such an urgent note?”, Gia asked, changing the topic.

“Today is Zayden’s birthday so I want your help in decorating the room.”, She said, looking at both Gia and Gina. “He has done so much for your father, so this is just a small gesture to say thank you to him.”

“Okay, Mom. But what will Grace do?”, Gina asked because their mother didn’t include her in the decoration work.

“She will obviously keep him distracted. So that he wouldn’t have any idea about plan.”,

“I think her family is planning something against you.”, Sarah said.

“I agree with her.”, Allison said

“I know but I trust her. So, I don’t want to hear a single word about it.”

“But Zayden…

“Shut up!”, He ordered, making Sarah and Allison flinch in fear. Before he could have said anything further, he saw his wife coming in his direction with a bottle in her hand and a small smile on her face. And that was the moment he fell for her smile again.

She sat beside Zayden and turned around to signal her sisters to come here. “Mom suggested that we could play ‘truth and dare’ for a while to get to know each other a little better.”

“Consider me in.”, Blake said and sat near Grace.

“Me too.”, Allison chirped.

“Zayden?”, Grace looked at him, wondering whether he would say YES or not.

“I can’t say no to my beautiful mate, Can I?”, he said to which Grace started looking everywhere but him.

After a moment, the game began, each time they used to spin the bottle and when the bottle used to stop then the person sitting toward the cap of the bottle had to choose ‘Truth or Dare’

“Truth”, Allison said.

“All right, I will ask the question.”, Gina said. “Umm...do you have a crush on anyone?”

“Umm...kinda yes! But I don’t know his name and know nothing about him.”, Allison said, to which Zayden frowned, wondering about whom she was talking about.

After a while, “I will also go with the truth.”, Sarah said.

Grace knew if anyone would ask her anything about her love then she would bluntly confess her love for Zayden and she didn’t want this to happen. Not in front of her family. So, she quickly took the chance to ask the question.

“What is your favorite food?”, She asked the most stupid question that could ever come to her mind.

Sarah glared at her because even though she understood that Grace did this knowing but she couldn’t do anything about it. “Paella”

“Dare.”, Zayden said when it was his turn because he had so many secrets.

“Kiss Grace in the most romantic way.”, Blake said, widening Grace’s eyes.

“No!”, She quickly interrupted. She showed Zayden her eyes, pleading him not to kiss her in front of everyone. She never liked doing those things in public which should be done between the couples under the closed door. But she also knew that she couldn’t stop Zayden from doing anything if he had already decided. He cupped her face softly, looking at her innocent green eyes.

‘Please! Please! Please! Please!’, She kept chanting in her mind and closed her eyes when she saw him leaning toward her. That’s when she felt a kiss on her forehead.

“I love you so much, sweetheart.”, he whispered in her ear, making her blush.

“Awww! That was really so romantic.”, Allison chirped.

The bottle spun again and this time it stopped on Grace. She knew she couldn’t choose dare because she was not bold like Zayden so she chose ‘truth’. And this was the time which Sarah was waiting for.

“Do you love your husband, Grace?”, She asked with an evil smile. She knew that Grace didn’t love Zayden and saying the truth means embarrassing herself as well as Zayden in front of everyone.
