Chapter 7 - Man In Hoodie
LUNA ASTERBELLE’s POV
Oddly enough, despite the close distance of this rampaging wolf, I still felt like this wouldn’t be the day that I would lose my life. There’s something about me that assures my own safety, and the only thing that I had to do was to be patient. That person’s presence was getting closer in each second that was passing by. He might be a savior or one of this wolf’s accomplice.
“Why’d you bring someone else with you?” I asked, in hopes that he’s still sane to perceive my query.
A confused look was transmitted to his face. “You must be bluffing to divert my attention, but sorry, you’re not getting away—”
The unknown wolf that was above me had been sliced through his neck. I watched as his head crawled down to my chest, his eyes widened as its nerves popped out as it slowly turned red in color. He was no longer capable of speaking his thoughts out, but I could sense his intense bloodlust all over my surroundings. Before anything else weird happened, I immediately got up from the position that I was locked down from.
“What the heck just…”
“You should be careful from now on, half-blooded creature,” an unfamiliar voice warned me.
Facing back, I saw the same man who was wearing a hoodie back at the cafeteria. “It’s you!” I pointed at him like he was a long lost friend of mine. Even from back there, I was already interested to get to know more about his identity, since I had this gut feeling that he wasn’t an ordinary person. “Are you… the same as me? Could it be that you also possess the blood of a pureblood vampire?” I inquired, completely forgetting about what just occurred.
The man shook his head. “Be patient, half-blooded creature. You wouldn’t want to get close to me.”
“I have a name and it’s Luna Asterbelle! Stop calling me a creature that doesn’t have the right to live.” His words seemed to give me some type of affirmation that he would be watching over me from a distance and keep me safe despite being far apart from one another. His presence was literally lurking me in. “Did we meet somewhere else other than the day of the incident at the cafeteria?” I tilted my head in an attempt to take a glimpse of what he actually looks like, and that’s when I realized that he has black eyes even though his hair was brown.
For a minute there, I thought that he was hesitant to answer me, but I guess that I was just being impatient. “No,” he replied with such a cold tone.
It’s weird how I can notice the tiniest bit of change whenever someone is telling me the truth, or whether they are lying in front of me. Maybe it’s just one of the capabilities granted to me as a vampire. “If you say so~”
He jumped to the nearest branch and was about to completely leave me behind, thankfully, he glanced back. “Luna…”
“There you go again! Can’t you tell me the reason why you keep on repeating my name?” I placed both of my clenched fists on my waist as I pouted to show that I was getting irritated with him. Speaking of which, I just realized that there’s something odd about this man. I don’t know if it was just due to the fact that he was wearing a hoodie, or if he really didn't contain any sort of aura.
I can’t see his aura at all. It’s like he doesn’t even exist in this world.
“You’re Luna, so I’ll keep on calling you Luna,” he replied, which definitely didn’t make any sense to me. “Follow me.”
Since I had nothing else to do, I followed his tracks from the branches that he kept on jumping on, while I was simply running around the woods with my agility.

The man in the hoodie brought me over to a hut. “Do you live here?” I asked, letting my hands roam around the accessories that were placed above the cabinet. There was a lot of dust covering each of his appliances, as if he hadn't been here for a lot of months. “Don’t your parents ever come to visit you here?”
He clicked his tongue. “Ask me anything other than anything that has a relation to my family or friends; anyone who has a connection with me are all a piece of shit anyway.” Seems like he has no intention to answer, when even the way that he spoke got altered.
“Sorry.” I don’t even have any other queries left stored for him, all that I have was appreciation for everything that he has done for me.
“If you’ve got nothing else to say to me, then it’d be best for us to bid our farewells right here and right now. This would be the last time that we would see each other and I’d guarantee that we would never stumble upon one another anymore,” he mumbled as he slowly marched towards my location.
There was an uneasy feeling that surrounded him. “Why? Can’t I stay with you for the night?” I covered my own mouth as he stopped from his tracks. “N-n-no… I didn’t mean to say something so vulgar. Forget it.”
Just right about when I attempted to walk out of the hut, he gripped onto one of my wrists. “Luna… Luna… Luna…” he repetitively muttered my name. From the bottom of my mind, I could sense that he had something to say to me. It’s like he’s been cursed by someone more powerful than him. “Luna, you’re mine. You’re only mine. You’ll always and forever be my one and only possession, and I would never allow anyone else to take you away from me.”
A beam of heating sensation shot through from my belly up to my head, most probably making my face red by now. “W-w-what?” I couldn’t maintain our eye contact, he was getting too aggressive and I don’t think that I can stay any longer from our current position as he pressed his chest against mine— totally making it impossible for me to escape him.
