Chapter 1157 Gathering Storm at the Iron Sky Border
At the same time Xuan Hao and Yi Min were making their way back towards the Star Shattering Sect after a rather successfully journey to the Blue Shore Kingdom, a large number of cultivators had started gathering at the borders of the Iron Sky Kingdom. All of them covered in armor from head to toe with an identical symbol covering the chest part of the armor.
Even if they remained quiet without saying anything, it was obvious that they had not come with good intentions in mind. Especially so considering that a few of the cultivators in the back had begun preparing a rather well-known formation specialized in breaking other formations.
"S-someone! Inform the capital!"
"Y-yes!"
Of course, seeing this happening, the border guards located in the different towers around the Iron Sky Kingdom wasted no time in sending word back to the capital city. Understanding very well that they had no way to deal with the large number of cultivators that had gathered outside the border.
The main reason for this was that outside of being rather intimidating, the large number of cultivators outside the border were by no means weak, with most of the normal soldiers having reached the Core Formation Realm, while there was no lack of Nascent Soul Realm Experts.
Looking more closely, a few Domain Lord Realm Experts could even be spotted among the cultivators. Far from what a few border guards who had at most reached the Nascent Soul Realm could deal with.
In the end, information about the impending attack soon reached the capital city and ended up in the hands of the muscular Domain Lord Realm Expert that Yi Min had left in charge of the kingdom during her absence.
"This is… Did one of those empires finally decide to try and invade us?" Although he and Yi Min had already expected this to happen at some point in time considering that the Iron Sky Kingdom was sitting on one of the biggest- if not the biggest spiritual metal mine in the Sky Empire, they had not expected it to happen so fast.
After all, the empires invading the Sky Empire had yet to successfully enter the true core of the Sky Empire where the capital and their most precious spirit stone mines and other resources were located.
Even if they wanted to deal with the Iron Sky Kingdom and seize the spiritual stone mine there, they should not want to recklessly fall out with Yi Min after she managed to reach the Soul Ascension Realm, as that would only end up making it harder for them to destroy the Sky Empire if she ended up joining the side of the different Soul Ascension Realm Experts now in control of the Sky Empire's capital.
"My master is still not back…" Muttering this to himself as he tried to pierce together why one of the empires would suddenly decide to attack the Iron Sky Kingdom, the muscular Domain Lord suddenly realized that his master was still not back. Should… Should I go to the rabbit for help…?
Thinking this to himself as he unconsciously looked towards the main palace that had been off limits to anyone other than him for the past few months, the muscular Domain Lord towering more than two meters above the ground could not help shivering as he remembered his last encounter with a certain cute looking rabbit.
The encounter in question happened a little over a month ago when he discovered that he had forgotten an important document in the main palace. Back then, he had not thought much about it and had made his way back into the main palace to recover the document. Unaware of the fact that he would end up running into the rabbit demon beast and the squirrel roaming around the hallways of the palace…
"Haaa…"
Taking a deep breath to forcibly calm himself down, the muscular man hesitated for a short moment before making his way towards the main palace. Silently praying that the rabbit demon beast wouldn't do anything to him this time around.
"Squeak!"
Unfortunately, the moment he stepped inside the main palace, he was met with the rabbit demon beast who had already sensed him coming.
"S-senior, s-someone has a-appeared at the border a-and it looks like they are a-about to attack, I- we hope that s-senior can take action and d-deal with them!" Doing his absolute best to fight off the fear that was welling up inside of him upon seeing the familiar look in the eyes of the rabbit demon beast and the squirrel following behind it, the muscular man did his best to ask for help. Ignoring the part of him that wanted nothing more than to turn around and run away from the rabbit demon beast.
"Squeak?"
Unaware of the thoughts passing through the head of the terrified giant of a man, the rabbit demon beast cutely tilted its head after hearing what he said before using its divine sense to personally investigate the situation at the border of the Iron Sky Kingdom-

And sure enough, it soon discovered the large number of cultivators gathered outside the border, but more important than that, there was at least three people in the Soul Ascension Realm present, with one of them even reaching the Third Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. Only a single minor realm below itself!
Given the strength of the attackers, it was indeed understandable that the chew toy in front of it had decided to seek it out for help.

Knowing that it would have to deal with the group of people by itself, the rabbit demon beast turned around and informed the squirrel about the situation without a single hint of worry before jumping out of a nearby window in the direction of the border where the large number of cultivators had gathered.
Even if there was three Soul Ascension Realm Expert, one of them only a single minor realm below it, the rabbit demon beast didn't feel the slightest bit worried about losing the battle.
The reason for this was simple, as the rabbit demon beast didn't view those stronger than itself as an equal, let alone someone whose cultivation realm was below it!

Standing at the border of the Iron Sky Kingdom behind the large number of cultivators prepared to rush into the Iron Sky Kingdom the moment the formation was destroyed, a middle-aged man frowned to himself as he gazed over at the formation that covered the entire Iron Sky Kingdom. Although the formation had not yet activated and was still in a dormant state, it would undoubtedly activate by itself the moment it sensed them getting too close. "Are you sure that Yi Min left?" Turning away from the formation towards an old man standing a few meters behind him, the middle-aged man narrowed both of his eyes.
"Yes, yes! I'm sure she left! Sealing off the main palace should just be an excuse from that old servant of hers, hehe, I hope the lord will reward this little one according to the agreement after the fall of the Iron Sky Kingdom." Nodding his head excitedly as he said this, the old man moved a bit closer after mentioning the reward while a greedy expression made its way to his face.
"Sure, as long as what you said is accurate, I will provide what we agreed on." Showing a disgusted expression after seeing the greedy expression on the old man's face, the middle-aged man didn't bother looking at him after hearing what he said.
As long as Yi Min wasn't in the Iron Sky Kingdom, it would only be a matter of time for them to destroy the guardian formation of the kingdom with three Soul Ascension Realm Experts.
Yi Min returning and becoming their enemies after finding out what happened didn't really matter in the eyes of the middle-aged man. After all, he had long since set his sight on the spiritual metal mines of the Iron Sky Kingdom and planned to take control of the kingdom at some point in time.
The reason why he decided to do it now of all times was simply because he was informed that Yi Min was currently not in the Iron Sky Kingdom, and he was more than happy to take the opportunity and destroy her priced formation while she was gone and not have to deal with it while she was in control of it.
"Everyone! Attack!"
Not a second later, the large number of cultivators outside the Iron Sky Kingdom began their attack…
