492 Changes to The Small Town at the Shattered Star Peaks

The news of the rebellion taking place inside of the Azure Sky Kingdom did not take long to reach the Flying Sword Sect and the surrounding sect's and kingdoms located close by, while slower than the kingdoms that had plans of invading the Azure Sky Kingdom, it was not by much.

However, this did not change the surprise felt by these kingdoms upon learning about the rebellion in the Azure Sky Kingdom.

In response to the sudden rebellion. These kingdoms prepared themselves in anticipation of the upcoming battle between the Sky Empires religions and the church of the plague god, that would inevitably end up taking place over the next few weeks.

Feng Chen also soon learned about the rebellion taking place inside the Azure Sky Kingdom located just next to them.

"If we could remain neutral, that would be for the bestâ¦"

Muttering this to himself as he informed both Shu Yao and Xuan Hao about the rebellion controlled by the church of the plague god taking place inside the Azure Sky Kingdom, Feng Chen finally managed to calm down after both Shu Yao and Xuan Hao told him that there was nothing to worry about and they could just follow the same direction as the nearby kingdoms of waiting on the side lines without doing anything.

In the first place, there was no reason for my Flying Sword Sect to involve itself in the struggle between the church of the plague god and the Azure Sky Kingdom. Let alone joining the upcoming battle between the Sky Empire's religions and the church of the plague god!

After having left the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao had not expected that he would end up getting contacted by Feng Chen about the church of the plague god making a move to take control over the Azure Sky Kingdom.

Outside of reassuring Feng Chen that everything would be fine, Xuan Hao also felt himself grow curious about just what was happening inside the Azure Sky kingdom after learning that the church of the plague god had seemingly sealed off the entire kingdom from the outside world.

Trying to take control over the Azure Sky Kingdom was one thingâ¦ Why did they go to the effort of sealing off the Azure Sky Kingdom from the outside world?

As the Shattered Star Peaks appeared in the distance, Xuan Hao was still thinking about the situation inside of the Azure Sky Kingdom.

Even if the outcome of what was happing in the Azure Sky Kingdom would not really have any effect on the Flying Sword Sect in the first place. Mainly because they had no trade agreements with the Azure Sky Kingdom, nor were they allied with themâ¦.

There was also a buffer territory in the form of what had once been the southern territory of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom between them.

<br/>To this day, the Flying Sword Sect had only taken control over a few important spirit stone mines and spirit herb valleys in this territory, as they had yet to truly begin integrating this territory. Not planning to do so before the new main sect had officially been established on the Shattered Star Peaksâ¦

As a result, the southern territory had now fallen into a state of chaos without the presence of the Raging Flame Sect or the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.

All the Nascent Soul Realm Experts that had once been living in the southern territory, had already fled upon learning about the destruction of the Raging Flame Sect. Fearing that they might be next.

At the moment, the southern territory had become a haven for outlaws and the like. Only a few sects and clans with Peak Core Formation Realm Experts holding down the fort could barely remain stable in this chaotic environment.

Even in this state, it still served as a perfect buffer territory between the Flying Sword Sect and the Azure Sky Kingdom.

As long as the southern territory was there, the Flying Sword Sect did not really have to worry about the Azure Sky Kingdom before they took control over the southern territory in the future. However, the large churches of the Sky Empire should have taken care of the church of the plague god at that point in timeâ¦

Xuan Hao really didn't expect them to just watch as the church of the plague god took control of a kingdom inside the Sky Empire and began establishing a foothold there!

Still thinking about how thing would end up playing out, Xuan Hao arrived at the small town at the base of the Ninth Star Peak that he had visited in the past together with Chu Yang and Qing Yi. Back then, it was during that trip, that he had first met Chi Huâ¦

Recalling what had happened in the past upon seeing the town slowly appear in the distance, Xuan Hao no longer thought about what was happening in the Azure Sky Kingdom, as his divine sense spread out before covering the small town at the base of the Ninth Star Peak.

However, compared to the past, the town had experienced some very clear changes over the past year. Especially the Flying Sword Sect branch present inside the town.

Not only had the branch been expanded by several times since his last visit, but there were also more than five elders at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm present inside the branch itself!

The reason for their presence soon revealed itself in the form of a large quantity of both high-quality building materials and spirit stones.

"Looks like Elder Song already started getting ready to build up the new sect at one of the Shattered Star Peaksâ¦"

Muttering this to himself as he felt amazed over the sheer quantity of spirit stones and high-quality building materials that Elder Song had brought over to be ready for when they were ready to build the new sect in the future, Xuan Hao quickly realized that other than the elders from his sect, there was also a group of five elders from the Spring Flower Sect present inside the town with a similar cultivation realm.

Similar to the five Peak Core Formation elders from his sect, the five elders from the Spring Flower Sect were also guarding a large quantity of building materials and spirit stones.

Not only that, but there was even a Nascent Soul Realm Expert hidden away on the Spring Flower Sect's side!

Seeing that the other side actually brought along a Nascent Soul Realm Expert to guard the place, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly.

Mainly because he was almost certain that the reason why the Spring Flower Sect had brought over a Nascent Soul Realm Expert most likely had something to do with Elder Songâ¦

In the future, the small town would surely develop into a large city, that would act as the Flying Sword Sect's connection to the outside world and a place for young talents hoping to join the Flying Sword Sect would be able to gather before the entrance examination. Most important of all, the city would be able to act as a place where both elders and disciples could come to have fun and relaxâ¦

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao hid his presence before making his way inside the small town that was slowly expanding in all directions.

Instead of heading directly for the Second Star Peak, he decided to take a closer look at the town and more importantly. Pay a visit to the Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the Spring Flower Sect. After all, the other party had come all the way to the Shattered Star Peaks just to stand guardâ¦

"How in the world did I end up here of all places? Watching over building materials and spirit stones! Hahâ¦ It's all that sly old man from the Flying Sword Sect's fault!"

At the same time Xuan Hao made his way inside the city to check out the elder from the Spring Flower Sect. The elder in question lamented loudly to herself as she thought about how a certain old man had ended up getting her to protect the small town and the different building materials and spirit stones that both her and the Flying Sword Sect had moved there.

"ARGH! Just thinking about it makes me angry! How could big sister Meng agree to the request of that old man in the first place!?"

As the Nascent Soul Realm Expert from the Spring Flower Sect continued to complain over a certain elder from the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao managed to overhear her talking to herself.
