"What is this…?" Reaching the top and just about to leave the valley inside the Eighth Star Peak, the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit Race could not help showing a bewildered expression as he felt an intangible barrier blocking his path forward. Preventing him from reaching the outside world
Trying to touch the barrier and finding out that it only stopped his path forward without harming him, the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit Race tried going around it-

However, this was to no avail, as the intangible barrier covered all ways out of the valley inside the Eighth Star Peak. Even trying to destroy the barrier did not yield any results, as his strength at the Half a Step into the Domain Lord Realm, could not even shake the intangible barrier that prevented him from leaving the Eighth Star Peak.
"Is this perhaps a barrier set up by our ancestors…?" Not knowing who had set up the barrier, but still understanding that the barrier did not seem to harm him, the Grand Elder could only think that the barrier was something that his ancestor had set up in the past to prevent them from leaving for the outside world before they were strong enough.
The reason why an outsider like Xuan Hao could enter, was most likely because the barrier had to do so to prevent the barrier from being found easily by any powerful existences that would pass by the Eighth Star Peak.
In the Grand Elder's eyes, this was not too unreasonable, as he could only give up on leaving to investigate what was happening in the outside world.

Not wasting any more time standing in front of the barrier, the Grand Elder made his way back towards the young elder anxiously staring up towards him from the ground below.
From his expression alone, the Grand Elder could tell how nervous the young elder had been when he had seen him trying to leave earlier!
"Haaaah… It looks like our ancestors don't want me to leave either, looks like we won't be able to find out what is happening outside for now!"
"Yes!" Nodding his head happily after seeing the Grand Elder giving up on leaving for the dangerous outside world, the young elder did not even bother hiding his happiness.
"… Inform everyone in the town that they should focus on cultivating. The increase in qi between heaven and earth is a great thing and should be able to help everyone improve! Having returned to his pavilion back at the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao suddenly muttered this to himself while staring in the direction of the Shattered Star Peaks.
Back when he had left the Eighth Star Peak, he had made sure to put down a seal on the place with his Domain Lord level strength. Preventing anyone below the Domain Lord Realm from entering the place by accident, while also making sure that anyone forcefully trying to break through the seal would end up notifying him.
Just now, Xuan Hao had clearly felt the seal he had left in place being attacked. However, different from his expectations, the one attacking it was not someone trying to break through the seal from the outside but was instead someone from the inside trying to break through the seal to leave.
Unexpectedly, Xuan Hao realized that he had accidently ended up sealing the Half Spirit Race off inside the valley of the Eighth Star Peak…
"But… For them to suddenly try and leave, it should be related to the chaotic qi formation increasing the qi between heaven and earth!"
Not taking too long to realize why the Half Spirit Race, that had lived in peace in the same place without moving for thousands of years suddenly wanted to go outside, Xuan Hao could not help smiling a bit wryly.
After leaving the Half Spirit Race back then, he had told the Grand Elder about having him join his sect. However, in the end he had not been able to do so, as the construction of the new sect drew most of his attention.
Now over a year had passed and the Half Spirit Race was still stuck inside the valley that was hidden away deep inside the Eighth Star Peak…
"Now that I think about it, I should inform Elder Song about this and have him officially integrate the Half Spirit Race into the Star Shattering Sect…" Muttering this to himself as he felt a pang of guilt from forgetting about them, Xuan Hao directly left his pavilion before finding Elder Song to inform him about the Half Spirit Race and have him come up with a way to integrate them into the Star Shattering Sect.
In the end, Elder Song did not take too long to come up with a way, as he soon rushed towards the Shattered Star Peak before Xuan Hao had even finished explaining what little he knew about the Half spirit Race.
It was easy to see that Elder Song was excited about the prospect of a brand-new race like the Half Spirit Race joining the Star Shattering Sect. Especially after knowing how strong they were.
Even if they didn't have any Domain Lord Realm Experts, the number of Nascent Soul Realm Experts in the Half Spirit Race was nothing to scoff at, as it would help the Star Shattering Sect get a batch of new elders at the Nascent Soul Realm for free.
Not to mention, the Grand Elder was someone at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm and would be qualified to become a Core Elder!
In the current Star Shattering Sect where there was still a rather large lack of normal elders and core elders who would do some of the more difficult work, the Half Spirit Race was like a blessing, something that would help the Star Shattering Sect more quickly stabilize themselves before beginning the more important expansion of the sect's influence outside the now gone Heavenly Sky Kingdom!

Especially considering the fact most of the Flying Sword Sect's disciples and elders had already started moving towards the Seventh Star Peak.
At this point in time, the Flying Sword Sect was almost fully operational as a branch of the Star Shattering Sect and would soon be able to operate without the oversight of someone like Elder Song.
Even if it was far emptier compared to what it was before the Star Shattering Sect, Xuan Hao understood that this would change in the future when the Star Shattering Sect started accepting disciples from outside their currently small territory.
To be honest, it would not be surprising if the Flying Sword Sect now turned branch, ended up growing even larger given how close it would be to the main sect.
