639 Elder Song's Visit to the Half Spirit Race
"So, this is the valley where the Half Spirit Race is staying…?"
Reaching the top of the Eighth Star Peak, Elder Song could not help feeling amazed when staring down the massive hole at the peak of the mountain, a small valley barely being visible below.

Introducing himself as an elder of the Flying Sword Sect instead of the Star Shattering Sect, as he understood that the meeting between the Half Spirit Race and Elder Xuan happened before the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect had merged together to form the Star Shattering Sect.
If he said he was from the Star Shattering Sect instead of the Flying Sword Sect, the person currently supressing him might think he was lying and end up killing him even after he mentioned Elder Xuan!
Even if the chance of this happening was low, Elder Song did not want to take the risk if it could be avoided…
"Elder Xuan… Flying Sword Sect… Ah! The human expert who came here little over a year ago! During his approach to the town, Elder Song learned a lot of different things about the Half Spirit Race from the Grand Elder. For example, he learned that Xuan Hao had not appeared in front of them and that he would be the first human the rest of the Half Spirit Race saw in their life!
At the same time, he also told the Grand Elder about what had happened to the Flying Sword Sect and the fact that they had merged together with another powerful sect to form the Star Shattering Sect.
Not forgetting to mention the seal above that Xuan Hao had put in place… Something that the Grand Elder was rather surprised hearing about as he remembered how he had ended up smashing head first into the seal in question just a few days earlier…
"Who is that?"
"He is so big! Even my dad isn't that huge!"
"An outsider?!"
"A member of another race! Is he perhaps here to attack us?!"
"Dummy! Can't you see the Grand Elder next to him?"
Given that he already understood that he was the first human the people inside the town saw, Elder Song was not too surprised after noticing everyone from grown adults to children flocking over curiously when he approached the town together with the Grand Elder. The children curious about how large he was compared to them, while the adults were a bit more cautious.
Only after noticing the Grand Elder next to him, did these older members of the Half Spirit Race calm down before showing a curious expression similar to the children of the town.

Disappearing after reaching the town to discuss with the elders of the Half Spirit Race before beginning the talk with him about the future of the Half Spirit Race, the Grand Elder of the Half Spirit Race instructed a young elder who had just reached the Nascent Soul Realm to keep him company during this time.
The young elder in question was at first sceptical and only after talking with Elder Song for a little over an hour did, he start relaxing.
At the time that the grand elder and a few of the older elders appeared, Elder Song had already ended up getting acquainted to a rather interesting young elder from the Half Spirit Race.
The simple reason for this, being the fact that both of them shared quite a few similarities when it came to their interests. In fact, Elder Song even had a feeling that the young elder from the Half Spirit Race would be a perfect match for the position of a record keeper in the Star Shattering Sect.
The job of a record keeper who had to record the history of the sect for future generations and keep a record on different events happening in the past and present.
Tedious, boring, and an often-forgotten role in a large sect, faction, kingdom, or empire.
However, the young elder from the Half Spirit Race was extremely enthusiastic about ancient records, while also respecting his ancestors for the records they wrote down for him and future generation of his race to remember, to the point he had even started writing down the important events taking place inside the small valley he had spent his entire life inside.
For this reason, Elder Song was more than satisfied when he heard that the elders of the Half Spirit Race had decided that before the Half Spirit Race fully decided to integrate into the Star Shattering Sect, they would have one of their elders go with him to observe the situation of the sect first.
After discussing the final details of the matter with elders of the Half Spirit Race, it was decided that the elder that would follow him back to the Star Shattering Sect would be the young elder that had just recently broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm.
"I will be going to the outside world…?"
The person in question was taken aback by this, as he could only stare upwards towards the only path leading out of the valley inside the Eighth Star Peak with a bewildered expression on his face.
Very obviously, the young elder had not expected that he would be the first person in his race to leave the valley they had all spent their entire lives inside and enter the outside world.

Not wasting any time after the decision was made, Elder Song and the young elder from the Half Spirit Race soon made their way out of the Eighth Star Peak before moving towards the Seventh star Peak where the Star Shattering Sect was located.
After Elder Song returned from the Half Spirit Race together with the young elder, the rest of the Star Shattering Sect quickly learned about the Half Spirit Race and only a few months later, the integration of the Half Spirit Race into the Star Shattering Sect officially began!
