672 Meeting the Sect Master of the Ascendant Frost Hall
Arriving at the border between the Sky Empire and the Frozen Wasteland only a short time after Xuan Hao had finished his battle with the demonic cultivator, General Liu could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine as he stared out into the frozen hell that had been created by Xuan Hao's new technique that perfectly merged together the power of both his ice and sword domain.
Even standing far away from the frozen hell created by the ice sword that was still present in the Frozen Wastelands, General Liu could very clearly feel the terrifying power contained inside of it.
Domain Lord or not, General Liu felt like his life would be in danger if he carelessly stepped inside the frozen hell in front of him!
"What in the world is this!? G-General… Do you really think this was left behind by the battle of two demonic cultivators in the Third Demonic Transformation Realm…? To me it feels more like-"
"Quiet! You should know what it would mean for our Sky Empire if an existence at that level appeared! Not to mention… The one who caused this scene should have come from the Frozen Wastelands!
Hearing the fearful voice of one of his subordinate standings at the deck of the flying ship, General Liu recovered from his momentary daze before reprimanding his subordinate for his careless words.

Knowing that he had made a mistake earlier, the soldier in question quickly apologised before retreating back to avoid accidently saying something stupid again.
"I will have to inform his majesty about this! Everyone! Stay here and keep watch over the Frozen Wasteland. Report to me if anything abnormal happens!"

Not wasting any time after understanding just how serious things were, General Liu rushed back inside the Flying Ship to inform the current emperor of the Sky Empire about what had taken place in the Frozen Wasteland.
After all, given the fact that it might involve someone above the Domain Lord Realm, the emperor had to be personally informed!

Being left alone to watch over the Frozen Wasteland, the group of soldiers who had barely reached the Nascent Soul Realm could not help looking fearfully at each other before looking in the direction of the eerily quiet frozen hell that now spread as far as they could see with their limited strength.
The thought of it being done by a True Demon Realm demonic cultivator kept echoing in their minds!
What had taken place in the Frozen Wastelands was sure to cause waves in the Sky Empire. Even more so considering the very real prospect of a possible True Demon Realm demonic cultivator appearing to cause chaos!

It looks like the people from the Ascendant Frost Hall made it quite far away from their sect. Well… Given the fact that more than three of the arms I cut off landed in their sect, this should have been a good idea.
If I ended up accidently killing one of their elders or disciples with one of the arms I cut off, I really would have no idea how to ask them for their core cultivation mantra…
Shaking his head as he thought about this while flying in the direction of the members of the Ascendant Frost Hall, Xuan Hao could not help looking forward to getting his hands on their cultivation mantra and officially completing the sect quest.

Given his current speed, Xuan Hao did not need long to reach the fleeing members of the Ascendant Frost Hall.

Using his divine sense to scan through the group of Ascendant Frost Hall elders and disciples below him, Xuan Hao could not help exclaiming in a slightly surprised voice after noticing that almost everyone except a few exhausted elders had close to no injuries.
The only person among them that was in a bad situation was an old lady at the Eighth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm.
However, she should be able to fully recover by herself with enough time.
All things considered; it looked like the Ascendant Frost Hall had suffered close to no damage when it came to their core fighting power!
To be honest, Xuan Hao had not expected this and thought that the sect master and a few of the Nascent Soul Realm elders might have ended up perishing due to being forced to fight off a powerful demonic cultivator by themselves before having resist the remnant power of him knocking the Third Stage Demonic Transformation Realm demonic cultivator further inside the Frozen Wastelands.
The fact that none of the powerful elders of the Ascendant Frost Hall had ended up dying was great news for Xuan Hao.

Not thinking about it anymore, Xuan Hao slowly began descending towards the group of disciples and elders of the Ascendant Frost Hall.
"Who is it!?"
"Look! Someone is flying!"
"Not only that, but that person is descending down towards the direction of the sect master!"
Not hiding his presence as he slowly descended down towards the area where the sect master of the Ascendant Frost Hall was slowly trying to recover her strength, both the disciples and elders of the Ascendant Frost Hall spotted him.

Landing on the ground, none of the elders from the Ascendant Frost Hall dared saying anything. Only barely working up the courage to stand around their sect master for protection.
"Grand Elder Xuan!"
However, just as things were starting to get tense, a voice called out from behind the group of elders before the second elder made his way to the front with a happy expression on his face. Rendering the elders speechless and wondering what kind of connection the unfamiliar person who had just descended from the sky had to do with their Second Elder.
"Second Elder, do you know who this is- Wait, is this perhaps the Domain Lord from the Star Shattering Sect!? I'm sorry for my earlier rude behaviour, this little one is known as Frozen Flower and is currently the sect master of the Ascendant Frost Hall!"

About to ask the Second Elder who the person was, the sect master of the Ascendant Frost Hall, Frozen Flower, quickly put realized Xuan Hao's identity before the Second Elder even had a chance to say anything. Not wasting any time to prostrate herself in front of Xuan Hao by smashing her head into the ground…
"No need, I'm just here to inform you that the demonic cultivator has been dealt with and its fine for you to return to your sect…"
Not knowing what to say when an old woman looking like she was half a step into the grave with a young sounding name like Frozen Flower almost smashed her head into the ground trying to apologies for what was essentially nothing, Xuan Hao felt a shiver run down his spine as he quickly motioned for the old lady to get up.
"Yes, your excellency!"

Feeling a bit worried when he saw that the old woman had actually started bleeding from her forehead, Xuan Hao could not help feeling like the sect master of the Ascendant Frost Hall might have some sort of problem.
Even the elders standing at the side were looking a bit worried after seeing the actions of their sect master…
"Ahm… Grand Elder Xuan, is there perhaps anything else you want to say…?" Understanding that it would not be good for his sect master if Xuan Hao kept staying around, the Second Elder quickly said this while signalling Xuan Hao with his eyes for help, his fear from earlier when he had flown with Xuan Hao completely gone.
"Yes, other than dealing with the powerful demonic cultivator, I have also finished dealing with the problem of the increasing number of demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wastelands!"
"Really!?"
Hearing what Xuan Hao said, one of the elders could not stop himself from asking. After all, since the creation of the Ascendant Frost Hall, they had always had to deal with the constant harassment of demonic cultivators preventing them from ever expanding their territory beyond the mountain range that their sect had been created on top of.
"Yes, you don't have to worry about any demonic cultivators invading your sect in the near future!"
Nodding his head as he reconfirmed what he had just said, Xuan Hao felt the way that the elders and disciples looked towards him changed from one of initial fear due to his unexpected arrival to one of awe and admiration.
Even the weaker disciples of the Ascendant Frost Hall that were only in the Qi Condensation Realm very clearly understood just how much it would affect their sect that they would no longer have to dedicate most of their resources and people towards dealing with the constant harassment of the demonic cultivators.
The elders understood this even more, as they would finally have time to properly focus on cultivating instead of fighting demonic cultivators all the time!
After all, even if fighting was a good way to hone one's strength, one would still need a quiet place and time to cultivate and breakthrough. Only rarely would someone be able to break through while fighting!
