684 Unfortunate Demonic Cultivator...

Having decided to check out the seal located below the now destroyed Raging Flame Sect, Xuan Hao didn't waste any time in checking out how much his dantian had recovered over the past few days since his two domains had merged together and he had successfully reached the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

"Still nowhere near fully recovered… Looks like I will have to wait until I recover more before going to check out the seal below the Raging Flame Sect."

Seeing that the state of his dantian was still far from good enough for him to enter the underground below the Raging Flame Sect where the seal was located, Xuan Hao closed his eyes and sat down before focusing back on repairing his dantian.

Given the current recovery speed of his dantian, he should be able to recover enough to check out the seal located below the Raging Flame Sect over the next few weeks.

At the very least, he still had some time before he would have to leave for the capital city of the Sky Empire.

Not taking long before the group encountered their first demonic cultivator in the process of devouring the body of a dead cultivator through the use of some kind of primal demonic cultivation technique that required the demonic cultivator to eat the other party to devour their cultivation and improve his own.

"So scary! Looks at the blood all over his face and the- Ah-!"

"This blood… He is eating someone!?!?"

The young disciple who had never seen such a scene before all showed different expressions filled with both shock and disgust at what they were seeing, some of the more faint-hearted disciples even ended up fainting after seeing what the demonic cultivator was doing…

"Everyone, calm down! Remember that we are here to deal with these demonic cultivators and stabilize the current chaotic situation of the Azure Sky Kingdom!"

Stepping up to stabilize the situation and calm down the young disciples of the Shattering Star Sect, one of the more senior elders said this before pointing towards the demonic cultivator that had just noticed the group of elders and disciples from the Star Shattering Sect.

"This demonic cultivator here can be considered to be the weakest among demonic cultivators and has reached a realm known as the Lesser Demon Realm, a realm that is comparable to the Foundation Establishment Realm. Above that are the Higher Demon Realm that is comparable to Core Formation Realm.

The demonic cultivators in the Lesser and Higher Demon Realm are the ones you will be fighting, while us elders will take care of the more powerful demonic cultivators roaming the Azure Sky Kingdom!"

As the elder finished talking, all the disciples from the Shattering Star Sect nodded their heads attentively as they had already calmed down after listening to the elder. Even the demonic cultivator located not too far away from them no longer seemed as scary as before and instead invoked the fighting spirits of some of the disciples who looked like they were about to jump out and attack the demonic cultivator at any moment.

At this moment, the demonic cultivator could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine as he also listened to what the elder from the Shattering Star Sect was saying.

Just a few seconds earlier, he had been filled with happiness after breaking through to the Peak of the Lesser Demon Realm. However, this all changed when the large group of disciples and elders from the Shattering Star Sect showed up.

Even if the demonic cultivator had no idea about where the group had come from, he understood very well that they belonged to some sort of sect, and they had come to the Azure Sky Kingdom to deal with the demonic cultivators that had recently entered the kingdom from the Frozen Wastelands.

Having seen the scene of the demonic cultivator devouring the body of a cultivator that he had killed, Bai Ning felt like he understood why demonic cultivators were so hated by everyone.

Not wasting any time listening to the complaining disciple who wanted to fight with the demonic cultivator, the elder who had stepped up to explain a bit about demonic cultivators once again took control of the situation as he said this.

Not giving any of the disciples any time to say anything about this arrangement, the elders seemed to have some kind of tactic understanding, as they all quickly jumped off their demon beasts before disappearing in the distance.

The only elder who remained back was a Beast Taming Elder that was in charge of guarding the demon beast during the duration of their time in the Azure Sky Kingdom.

"The elders really left after pairing me up with that annoying girl…"

Not knowing what to say after he saw the elders disappearing in the distance, Bai Ning turned to look toward Hui Ying who was similarly staring towards him.

From the looks of it, they would have to work together to hunt down demonic cultivators during their time in the Azure Sky Kingdom… And from the looks of it, the elders had no intention of allowing them to hunt demonic cultivators on their own.

In a sense, Bai Ning understood that this was for safety and make sure that they would be safer in a completely unfamiliar place. Especially considering that most of the disciples were still below the age of 20.

But… Why did I have to be put together with that annoying girl?

In a similar situation as Bai Ning, Hui Ying looked like she was struggling to say something as both of them continued staring at each other without saying anything for a few minutes.

"Wah-! You win! Your stare is far too much! Let's just get going… I have a feeling that beast taming elder will not be happy if we stay around for too long…"

Giving up their little staring competition first, Hui Ying jumped off the demon beast before signalling for Bai Ning to do the same.

"Indeed… Looks like we will have to get going…"

Knowing that he would not be able to get another teammate, Bai Ning jumped off the demon beast before both of them made their way further inside the Azure Sky Kingdom together.
