Using his movement technique to its limits, Bai Ning dashed through the dense jungle together with Hui Ying who was dragged along with him during the fast escape-

Behind them, the roars of the two demon beasts echoed out as they got closer and closer with each passing second.

"H-how can we escape from them!? They are far stronger than us and will catch up to us soon!" Looking back towards the approaching demon beasts that were getting closer and closer to them, Hui Ying, who was carried by Bai Ning due to him being far faster than her in terms of speed, could not help exclaiming in a worried tone.

Even if the demon beasts were slowed down due to the dense jungle foliage and trees blocking their path, it did not take a genius to figure out that the demon beasts would soon be able to catch up to them. After all, they were Core Formation Realm demon beast!

Letting out a sigh of relief after seeing that the demon beasts only roared threatening at them without getting up to chase after them, Bai Ning dashed forward before going around the opening in the jungle without getting too close to group of demon beasts roaring threateningly at them from the side.

Not long after Bai Ning and Hui Ying made it to the other side of the opening of the jungle by going around the group of demon beasts, the two demon beasts chasing after them showed up.

Not showing the slightest bit of care towards the group of demon beasts, the two powerful Core Formation Realm demon beasts entered the opening and were about to make their way straight through it to where Hui Ying and Bai Ning were located-

However, entering the opening in the jungle was seen as a blatant provocation and threat by the group of demon beasts located around the small lake, as the Core Formation Realm demon beasts among them charged forward to protect the weaker once from what they viewed as a very clear attack.

Not a second later, the two demon beasts that had been chasing after Bai Ning and Hui Ying began clashing with the group of demon beasts in the opening of the jungle.

"Let's get away before the fighting here ends…"

Knowing that the fight was not going to last for long, Bai Ning put Hui Ying down before both of them quickly escaped in the opposite direction of the fighting.

Going around and making their way back towards the place where they had entered the jungle through was far too risky, as the two demon beasts chasing after them would be able to easily spot them and attack them.

Although escaping into the deeper part of the jungle was risky, it was a far better choice compared to having to face off against to powerful Core Formation Realm demon beasts!

"Hah… We should have… Hah… Escaped from them by now…"

Collapsing down on the soft grass that covered the ground beneath them, Bai Ning collapsed on the ground from exhaustion.

"Indeed…" In a similarly exhausted state from having used her movement technique for an extended period of time, Hui Ying also laid down on the soft grass beside Bai Ning.

During the past half hour after the group of demon beasts beside the small lake started fighting with the two demon beats that had been chasing after them, both Bai Ning and Hui Ying had not dared slowing down as they used their movement techniques to escape as far away as possible before the fighting between the demon beasts stopped.

Resting on the ground as they recovered from their exhausted states, Hui Ying suddenly thought of something as she turned towards Bai Ning with a somewhat nervous expression on her face.

"By the way… How are we supposed to find our way back out of the jungle again…?"

During their escape, they had ventured deep into the jungle and had turned in all sorts of different directions to avoid the demon beasts chasing them. Now that they needed to find their way back out again… It would indeed be rather difficult…

"That is… A good question… I will try and use the communication talisman and see if we can contact any of the elders."

Knowing that they were not likely to find their way out on their own without bumping into another Core Formation Realm demon beast, Bai Ning took out a communication talisman from his interspatial ring that the elders of the sect had given to them in case they ended up in a situation they couldn't handle.

"Indeed… It's of no use… Looks like we are indeed inside a secret realm…"

Not having expected for the communication talisman to work in the first place as he remembered how his master had told him that such things did not work inside a secret realm, Bai Ning let out a sigh as he put the useless communication talisman back inside his interspatial ring.

"Let's try the one master gave me…"

Not having too much hope that the communication talisman his master gave him would be any different, Bai Ning took out a far more high-quality communication talisman that his master had given him.

"Also useless…" Muttering this to himself as he also watched the high-quality communication talisman given by his master not working, Bai Ning could not help feeling a wave of helplessness wash over him.

Given their current circumstances, they did not have a high chance of making it out alive by themselves and at the same time, they could not rely on someone coming to help them out.

"It's fine, we will just have to find a way back on our own and avoid the stronger demon beasts along the way. Maybe we can even find the sacred spiritual herb you are looking for along the way!"
