751 Escape from the Jungle!

Observing the fight between the massive snake and the bear like demon beast taking place not too far away from them, both Bai Ning and Hui Ying could not help feeling a shiver run down their spine as they saw the destruction caused by the two demon beasts clashing with each other.

Even without having fought with any of the two demon beasts themselves, both of them understood just how large the difference between them and the demon beasts was!

"Looks like they are really fighting with each other... Let's see if we can get closer to the pond of water!"

Not wasting any time after seeing that the two demon beasts were busy fighting with each other, Bai Ning took the lead as he slowly began moving closer to the pond of water that the portal out of the jungle was located inside of. Making sure to keep an eye on the massive snake in case it spotted them.

Moving through the thick foliage of the jungle that surrounded the pond of water like this, it did not take them more than a few minutes before they reached the edge of the pond of water.

Luckily for both of them, the fight between the two demon beasts did not calm down in slightest during the last few minutes and instead only ended up growing more intense. Not allowing them to pay much attention to their surroundings as they fought with all their might.

Of course, with such a large fight taking place, it inevitably ended up catching the attention of different demon beast living nearby that were similarly in the Core Formation Realm. Although these demon beasts were not close to the snake and bear like demon beast in strength, they were still stronger than Bai Ning and Hui Ying!

As the fight grew more intense and blood covered the large jungle trees, the roars of these demon beasts grew closer with each passing second and would soon reach the place where Bai Ning and Hui Ying were standing!

"We have to go now, or the snake demon beast discovering us will be the last thing we have to worry about!"

Understanding that they had no more time to wait around for an opportunity when the snake demon beast got further away from the pond of water, Bai Ning took the lead as both of them jumped into the pond of water before swimming towards the bottom of it where a small whirlpool shaped portal was spinning.

Even if it was hard to see, the other side of the whirlpool portal slowly grew visible as they got closer.

Different from what both of them had been expecting to be on the other side of the portal, a lush cave filled with all sorts of ancient vegetation that had long since gone extinct was what entered their view after they got close enough. No signs of any dangerous demon beasts or other things that could threaten them was visible on the other side of the portal. Allowing both Bai Ning and Hui Ying to let out a sigh of relief as they continued towards the whirlpool shaped portal at the bottom of the pond.

The fact that both of them jumped into the lake was of course sensed by the two large demon beasts fighting in the distance-

Causing both of them to stop fighting as they rushed back towards the pond of water, the snake wanting to stop them from entering the whirlpool portal, while the bear like demon beast thought that the snake was trying to get its hands on the Dream Soul Flower before escaping with it.

Given the fact that the snake demon beast was by far faster than itself from what it had experienced so far, it was not too odd to think that this was the case. Especially considering that the snake demon beast had been on the losing side during their fight and was covered in blood with several large wounds all over its body at the moment.

Just a few more minutes of fighting and the bear like demon beast was certain that it would have been able to kill the snake!

How is that snake even faster in the water!?

Looking behind himself to see the two demon beast entering the water, Bai Ning could not help cursing to himself after discovering that the speed of the snake demon beast had seemingly doubled after it entered the water.

Even if they were only a few seconds away from the whirlpool located at the bottom, with the speed of the snake demon beast, it would be able to catch up to them before that!

As the energy of the different artifacts that had now disappeared merged together, the aura of destruction grew even stronger than before!

Realizing how dangerous its current situation was, the snake demon beast wanted to turn around to dodge it... But just as it was about to retreat, the massive gathering of energy seemed to have reached a critical level as it violently exploded in front of the snake demon beast-

Not able to dodge the violent explosion, the snake demon beast was directly launched flying out of the pond together with the bear like demon beast that had been following behind it.

Even if most of the power from the explosion had been directed upwards towards the two demon beasts chasing after them, Bai Ning and Hui Ying were both pushed down towards the whirlpool shaped portal at the bottom of the pond by the force of the explosion.

Being launched through the portal the next moment, both of them smashed head first into the rocky ground on the other side of the portal.

Although both the demon beasts had been launched flying by the explosion that all of his artifacts had caused after their self-destruction, the bear like demon beast had very clearly been far less affected and had almost managed to catch up with them again!

"Luckily the portal closed before it could chase after us..." Muttering this to himself as he looked towards the place where the whirlpool shaped portal had been located only a few seconds ago, Bai Ning took out the communication talisman that had been given to him before trying to contact the elders who had come along with them during the clean-up of demonic cultivators inside the Azure Sky Kingdom.

"Bai Ning? Is there anything you need help with?"

"Yes! Hui Ying is injured and..."

Hearing a voice from the communication, Bai Ning could not help feeling a sense of relief washing over him as he quickly informed the elder on the other side about Hui Ying's current state without saying anything about the jungle they had been trapped in for the past few weeks.

"Ah! There you two are!"

Only a few minutes after he had used the communication talisman, an elder in the Nascent Soul Realm appeared at the entrance of the cave they were inside.

Not wasting any time after realizing both of them were injured quite badly, the elder didn't say anything more, as he directly fed both of them a medical pill to stabilize their injuries before carrying both of the out of the cave towards the Star Shattering Sect.
