With this in mind, the constant break through in strength that the young master was experiencing together with three other unfortunate souls, should be to have them store as much energy as possible before they in the end would get turned into human shaped energy batteries to fuel the activation of the larger demonic formation.

Thinking about it like this, the artificial puppets standing guard at each of the four smaller demonic formations were likely not only there to defend the demonic formations, but were also there to make sure the human shaped energy batteries didn't escape after finding out what was happening to them!

Even if the artificial puppets would not fare well in combat against a normal Domain Lord who could use a domain to fight, they would be more than strong enough to keep any of the human shaped batteries from leaving...
