Watching as the ground shattered the moment the massive foot of the construct landed on the ground, Xuan Hao could not help feeling the sense of happiness from his earlier breakthrough disappear completely.
Even if he did not know how strong the ground of the ancient battlefield was, he had still seen how the phantoms with strength above the Soul Ascension Realm had only barely been able to leave a few marks in it!

Given the sheer power of the construct, even if he had reached the Intermediate Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he doubted that he would be able to survive being crushed by the foot of the construct. After all, the different inscriptions and other symbols that had started gently shinning on the surface of the construct was not just for show and would have all kind of effects that would enhance the simple looking foot of the construct and turn it into a terrifying attack!

As he was feeling a sense of relief having dodged the massive foot of the construct in time, Xuan Hao suddenly felt a terrifying killing intent locking on to him-

And this killing intent just so happened to originate from the giant construct that had been about to step on him a moment ago!
Don't tell me… Is it because the tiny flame merged together with the feather imprint!? I have to get out of here as fast as possible before the black heart manages to get more control of the construct!

Not taking more than a few seconds to understand that the black heart controlling the construct should have targeted him because of the tiny flame that was now hiding somewhere inside the space between his brows where the blue divine energy was stored, Xuan Hao didn't waste any time before using his movement technique to the limit as he escaped in the direction of the spatial corridor that he had used to enter the ancient battlefield.
As for staying behind to test out his new strength against the colossal construct and try to get rid of the black heart? There was no way he was going to do something that stupid, the strength of the construct at its peak should have surpassed the realm above the Soul Ascension Realm and even if it was weakened to the extreme, it was still not something that he would ever be capable of fighting against with his current strength.
Maybe if his strength had reached the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he might have tried fighting it… But there was still a long way to go before he could reach that realm. Not to mention, the Dao Domain Lord Realm was not a simple realm like the Soul Ascension Realm that required one to slowly overcome one tribulation at a time before finally overcoming the Immortal Soul Tribulation and stepping into the next major realm.
The Dao Domain Lord Realm would allow one to directly start ascending the Immortal Soul Tribulation at any moment… And after reaching the Intermediate Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao could also clearly feel that he could initiate the Immortal Soul Tribulation at any moment. Of course, with his current strength, this would be no different from suicide…
However, given what little information he knew about the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he could still understand the strength of the four minor realms to some extent.

For now, could only pray that he wouldn't end up encountering a group of phantoms fighting with each other. Unfortunately for Xuan Hao, that was exactly what he encountered after travelling for no more than a few minutes…

Listening to the loud explosions and sound of metal clashing in front of him, Xuan Hao could not help silently cursing to himself as he gazed towards the over ten phantoms that were violently clashing with each other in front of him.
What should I do? Do I risk it and charge through them in hopes of not getting targeted or do I take the long way around and give the construct more time to catch up with me!?
Not knowing what to do, Xuan Hao was left floating midair with a hesitant look on his face. Unable to decide on what the best option was-

Even worse, he could clearly hear the sound of the construct behind him getting closer and closer with each second, he wasted hesitating on what to do.
"Ah! Damn it all! Even if going straight through the battlefield is risky, I should still be able to survive an attack or two of these phantoms with my current strength!"

Feeling the increasingly thick killing intent from the construct that was approaching him from behind, Xuan Hao forced his fear of the phantoms down before dashing forward into the massive combat zone that had been created by them.
No matter what happened, he had a feeling that he might not be able to escape from the ancient battlefield if he decided to take the long way around the large area where the over ten phantoms were clashing with each other… And that was not mentioning that there would always be the risk of there being another similar battle at the edge of the combat zone of the ten or so phantoms, there was also the simple risk of the phantoms moving in the same direction that he was moving in…

The moment he made his way into the combat zone of the phantoms, Xuan Hao instantly felt several terrifying divine senses lock on to him before quickly turning away before focusing on something else.
Even without any ability to track where the divine senses had come from, it was still obvious to Xuan Hao who the owners of the different terrifying divine senses had been… And from the looks of it, none of them had taken an interest in him. Making it clear that they had no energy to spare on someone weak like him, as they were far more concentrated on defeating their opponents.
Or well… Almost everyone…
It just so happened that one of the phantoms in the shape of a demon beast had taken an interest in him… And it was not the friendly kind of interest!
