933 Back to the Surface



Seeing the large rock tumbling down towards it, the mole demon beast at first wanted to ignore it and go straight through-

Especially considering that there was a very real possibility of Chu Yang and Qing Yi taking advantage of its weakened state due to poisoning to kill it!

For this reason, the mole demon beast patiently waited at the entrance to the tunnel for the rock to roll out and into the large tunnel.

Unfortunately for the mole demon beast, the moment the rock in question tumbled out of the tunnel entrance, the force of it smashing into the already weakened wall of the larger tunnel, caused the larger tunnel to start collapsing directly on top of the mole demon beast.

Not even giving it any chance to react, as it was buried beneath a mountain of rocks and dirt.

Even if this did not kill the mole demon beast, it inevitably ended up giving Chu Yang and Qing Yi even more time to escape up the smaller tunnel towards what they hopped to be an entrance leading to the surface, or at the very least somewhere close enough to the surface that they would be able to dig their way up by themselves…

"Hehe, looks like it didn't expect us to push down the rock. Let's push another rock down if it shows up again!" Smiling happily, unaware of the fact that the rock she had pushed down with the help of Chu Yang was filled with a special kind of poison, Qing Yi motioned towards another rock that had similarly been avoided by the mole demon beast when digging the tunnel appearing a few hundred meters ahead of them.

"Sure…" Feeling that something was off with how desperately the mole demon beast had tried to avoid getting hit by the rock, Chu Yang decided not to think too much about it for now and just agreed to Qing Yi's suggestion.

Just like that, Chu Yang and Qing Yi continued making their way up the small tunnel-

Rolling a rock down towards the mole demon beast the moment it appeared. Not caring about the increasingly thick killing intent that the mole demon beast directed towards them.

In the end, this continued for over half an hour before the end of the tunnel finally came into view. Making both Chu Yang and Qing Yi let out a sigh of relief after continuing up for what felt like forever. Only now realizing just how deep underground they had been transported after going through the stone door in the underground ravine to escape from the horde of demon beasts without having to rely on the talismans that their master had left for them.

If not for the fact that they found this tunnel leading up and they could see a few tree branches sticking in through the tunnel entrance, they would have thought that the end of the tunnel would not lead them back to the surface, but instead into a brand-new tunnel created by the mole demon beast.

"Finally, I was honestly starting to doubt whether or not we had been transported into some kind of world filled with nothing but dirt and rocks…" Reaching the entrance and seeing the forest that spread out in front of her like an endless sea of green and the blue sky above, Qing Yi muttered this with an exhausted expression on her face.

Although she had already reached the Nascent Soul Realm, the last half hour of escaping was by far one of the hardest things she had experienced so far. Not because she had been using her movement technique to the limit over the past half hour, but because she and Chu Yang had been forced to stop dozens of times to push down massive rocks towards the mole demon beast approaching them.

At one point during their escape, she had tried using a little more power to push down one of these rocks, but this soon turned into a disaster, as she found out why the mole demon beast would always try its absolute best to avoid crashing into the rocks. In the end, the small amount of poison that had leaked from the crack she ended up creating cost her close to seventy percent of the qi inside her dantian to rapidly suppress before she could continue escaping.

Because of this, she was only left with a little more than ten percent of her qi when reaching the surface…

"First, let's get out of here before starting to relax!" 

On the other hand, Chu Yang was in a far more favorable position, as he was still far away from being exhausted like Qing Yi. Taking the initiative to carry the exhausted Qing Yi before escaping into the forest-

Just in time before the mole demon beast emerged from the tunnel behind them filled with a terrifying killing intent that instantly sent any nearby demon beasts running away in terror!

Chu Yang was already familiar with people in the Domain Lord Realm considering that the Star Shattering Sect had a few and his master was also in the Domain Lord Realm. For this reason, he had instantly realized that the large demon beast lazily laying on the ground in front of him was a Domain Lord Realm demon beast.

After all, even if his master was in the later or middle stages of the Domain Lord Realm from what he knew. Dealing with a Domain Lord Realm demon beast in person and dealing with one through a talisman that had stored part of his power, were two completely different things!
