Unfortunately for Chu Yang, the mole demon beast appeared just at this moment and jumped forward to block his path. The only positive about this, was the fact that this powerful demon beast would not bother to kill them, as they were simply far too weak to provide it any benefits after consuming them. Especially considering how small their bodies were.

In its eyes, it was far better to let Chu Yang and Qing Yi escape. Allowing them to grow larger and more powerful would be more beneficial to it than killing them now. Not aware of the fact that humans wouldn't grow as large as demon beasts…

Still not aware of the fact that a much larger and more powerful demon beast was staring at it with curiosity and a hint of hunger in its eyes, the mole demon beast let out a roar filled with confidence before using the large claws on its front legs to slash down towards Chu Yang and Qing Yi.

Using his spear to block the large claws of the mole demon beast, Chu Yang felt his entire body tremble under the enormous power of the mole demon beast. Even if he was confident in dealing with demon beasts stronger than himself, he understood that trying to fight a Peak Nascent Soul Realm demon beast with his current strength was impossible.

Even if the mole demon beast had been weakened by the poison from the rocks, he doubted that it would make much of a difference in a fight where he could only barely use all of his strength to block a single attack!

Seeing how Chu Yang had managed to block its claws before deflecting them away, the mole demon beast was not the slightest bit happy after seeing the blood that ran down the corner of his mouth after having forcefully resisted the attack of someone much stronger than himself. 

Instead, the mole demon beast only cared more about the fact that someone who had only reached the Second Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm had somehow managed to resist its attack.

As a result, the mole demon beast violently rushed in for another attack. Intent on ending things before the ants that had caused it trouble for the last week before they had a chance to run away again.

However, before the mole demon beast had a chance to attack Chu Yang and Qing Yi again, a loud rumbling sound echoed through the forest.

Not aware of the fact that there was another demon beast present, the mole demon beast could only stop mid attack, as it finally noticed the massive demon beast at least five times its own size that had suddenly appeared no more than a few hundred meters away from it.

Even without knowing the strength of the large demon beast many times its own size, the mole demon beast's instincts told it that it was far stronger than itself and its only chance of staying alive was escaping back underground as fast as possible.

However, just as the mole demon beast was about to run away, a loud roar suddenly erupted from the massive demon beast followed by a terrifying power descending from above and locking it in place. Preventing it from diving into the ground and escaping back into the underground world where it had spent its entire life.

All of a sudden, a memory that seemed to have disappeared for a long time appeared in the deepest recesses of the mole demon beast's mind.

Back when it was young and had just reached the Nascent Soul Realm, it had been curious and adventurous. In the end, this caused the young mole demon beast to dig a long tunnel up before finally reaching the surface for the first time in its life.

Exploring this new and mystical world, it did not take long before it stumbled on a rare spiritual herb that helped it breakthrough to the Second Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm on the spot. Unknown to the young mole demon beast back then, the spiritual herb already had an owner!

Not long after consuming the spiritual herb, a large demon beast far bigger and more powerful than itself appeared before beating it half dead. Only through sheer luck had it managed to escape back underground when a similarly powerful demon beast had appeared and challenged the one beating it up.

Due to this terrifying encounter during its youth, the mole demon beast had never dared to use its old tunnel leading to the surface. In the end, the memory slowly disappeared with time and the mole demon beast forgot the fear it felt toward the surface. Ultimately resulting in its current situation where its old memory from its youth finally reemerged with the appearance of the powerful demon beast many times its own size.

R-roar!

Only able to let out a terrified roar after feeling its entire body being locked in place, the mole demon beast could only watch helplessly as the large demon beast slowly made its way over towards it. The hungry look in the eyes of the massive demon beast only increased the closer it got to the mole demon beast.

Even to a Domain Lord Realm demon beast, a large demon beast like the mole demon beast who was just about to break through to the Domain Lord Realm was a delicacy that would give it a chance at increasing the strength of its body by a small realm. Something normally only doable by consuming the body of another Domain Lord Realm demon beast!

Swish~

At the same time that the two demon beasts were facing off against each other, Chu Yang took the chance to quietly slip away before the Domain Lord Realm demon beast decided that it would eat them as well. Even if he didn't intend to eat them now, it could always change its mind after eating the mole demon beast.

Intending to take a test bite out of it to check if it was poisonous before eating it.

However, before the Domain Lord Realm demon beast had a chance to bite into the mole demon beast, a loud rumbling sound echoed out from inside the mole demon beast's body-

Not a second later, the domain that had been used to restrain the mole demon beast shattered violently, as a terrifying aura belonging to the Domain Lord Realm erupted around the mole demon beast. Instantly forcing the massive Domain Lord Realm demon beast back.

RUUUUMBLE-!

Followed by the Domain Lord Realm aura appearing around the mole demon beast, a large number of thunder clouds appeared above the mole demon beast.

Roar!?

Understanding just what these thunder clouds symbolized, the demon beast that had already reached the Domain Lord Realm began to rapidly retreat-

Only to be stopped by the mole demon beast that quickly caught up with it and latched itself onto the body of the larger demon beast.

Roar-!

Knowing just how terrifying the thunder clouds above were and feeling that their power seemed to have increased after the mole demon beast grabbed latched itself onto it, the massive demon beast let out a panicked roar as it tried its best to remove the mole demon beast and escape from the thunder clouds.

Unfortunately for the larger demon beast, the body of the mole demon beast that had only been a step away from reaching the Domain Lord Realm, had just managed to break through to the Domain Lord Realm. Making it close to impossible for the larger demon beast to remove in a short period of time, let alone before the Domain Lord Realm tribulation descended!

Boom! Boom!

As if planned, the tribulation directly descended on the mole demon beast and the unfortunate demon beast that had been unable to escape in time!
