977 Fall of the Southern Spring Garden (Part 2)



Observing the large pagoda that had appeared in front of him, Xuan Hao was suddenly taken aback as he felt a terrifying killing intent descending from the sky before a large shadow appeared above the majestic pagoda. 

ROOOOOOOAR-!

Before he even had time to look up, a loud roar echoed out across the southern spring garden, causing Xuan Hao and the countless cultivators walking around on the large plaza located in front of the pagoda to look up in terror and disbelief at the massive dragon that had appeared in the sky above the pagoda.

RUMBLE-!

Not even having any time to comprehended what had happened and how he had suddenly ended up in this situation, the entire pagoda trembled violently as a countless complicated formation symbols flowed out from the pagoda before gathering together into several large golden arrows that shot of towards the demon beast.

Boom! Boom!

By the time Xuan Hao realized what was happening, the dozen or so golden arrows had already reached the large demon beast in the sky above as they exploded with a might far more terrifying than the power shown by the cloud demon beast. Even if the dragon was powerful, Xuan Hao found it hard to believe that it would be able to escape unscratched from such a powerful attack-

But different from what Xuan Hao imagined, the demon beast in the sky didn't seem to be affected by the terrifying golden arrows, as it merely shrugged them off before it swung its large claws down towards the pagoda filled with killing intent.

"SOUTHERN DRAGON KING! YOU DARE ATTACK MY MIRAGE SECT!?"

However, before the large claws of the dragon had a chance to reach the majestic pagoda, a loud voice echoed out from inside the pagoda before a large golden hand appeared to meet the large claws midair-

BOOOOOOM!

The collision between these two powerful existences instantly caused a terrifying shock wave to spread through the surroundings. Instantly killing any of the cultivators who had been unfortunate enough to be outside the protection of the barrier covering the area around the pagoda.

Among these unlucky cultivators, there was no shortage of people who had surpassed him and reached the Earth Immortal Realm, there were even a few who seemed to be even stronger than the ones who had reached the Earth Immortal Realm.

But in the end, none of them survived the terrifying shock wave produced by the collision between the golden hand and the massive dragon claws…

Following the initial clash between the golden hand and the dragon claws, a golden shadow had rushed out of the pagoda before starting to violently clash with the large dragon in the air above. The constant clash between the two terrifying existences caused the earth beneath to tremble violently, as everything around the pagoda was destroyed.

Although his cultivation was far too low to observe the fight in full and figure who was winning, it was not too difficult to guess the result from what he had seen before being shown this vision of the past. In the end, the loser would ultimately be the elder from the Mirage Sect guarding the pagoda, but Xuan Hao did not let this affect him, as he made full use of this opportunity to observe the fight between these two powerful experts.

As battle continued for hours like this, with neither side budging, the dragon spoke up for the first time as it cursed the elder from the Mirage Sect who had stopped him from destroying the pagoda.

Not giving the elder from the Mirage Sect any time to respond, the dragon made use of this momentary lack of attention to rapidly gather its power before unleashing a final, devasting surge of elemental energy towards the elder from the Mirage Sect-

"AHHHHH!"

Caught off guard by the sudden all-out attack by the dragon, the elder was unable to mount a sufficient defense as he was struck by the full force of the attack. 

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The impact was catastrophic, causing a cataclysmic explosion that soon engulfed the elder and the pagoda below him in a blinding blaze of elemental energy.

"HAHAHAHA!"

As the dust settled, only the loud laughter of the dragon in the sky above was left behind, as the elder from the Mirage Sect had vanished from the world. Only the barely standing formation protecting the pagoda was left behind.

Rumble~!

And that was not for long, as the massive dragon once again brought down its large claws-

Crack~!

BANG!

Instantly destroying the already weakened formation before its large claws tore through the majestic pagoda. Killing all the cultivators inside of it!
