Samantha felt her throat tighten as Killian looked at her so intensely that she became incredibly keenly aware of what she was actually doing here. She sat on the lap of a man whose fingers rested possessively on her hip and whose gaze briefly grew as hungry as Gideon's as he stared at her still parted lips a touch too long. Sam felt her heart start beating and a moment later she felt captured by his eyes.
That wasn't normal. The hand on his chest suddenly felt the rise and fall of his mighty chest, while her other gripped the fabric on his shoulders as if she just didn't want to let him go. Samantha knew exactly how other women felt around him, he was so incredibly hot and his whole personality so incredibly dominant that you just had to feel attracted to him.
No one could elude him, not even his own sister. Sam cleared his throat, licked her dry lips once and...
Had his face just moved a little closer to hers? Had he actually just stared at her lips? And was she imagining it or was his thumb actually lying below her shirt hem on her bare skin?
"Frank's here, I'd like to stay at your place." She ground out, heart pounding and voice choking. Why was she even whispering that request? There was nothing wrong with staying at Killian's.
She wasn't just any woman; she was his sister.
So why did she say it so softly, that this wish was given a wicked undertone? Embarrassed and suddenly not at all as tough as she used to be, she squinted aside and looked down at the wildly dancing men and women that could be observed from this lounge through a one-way mirror. Killian shifted under her, pulled her legs onto the back of the sofa and, in a trance, began to unlace and remove her shoes.
A thoughtful gesture that was absolutely not meant to make her feel like he was undressing her. "We could pay Frank a visit." Thomas' voice sounded behind her, grinning broadly and absolutely coldly at her while he leaned back comfortably and watched the partying people. The lounge was not completely soundproof, but the quiet bass penetrated.
Thomas didn't seem bothered by Killian's actions and it wasn't until the second boot slipped off her feet and he pulled her feet to his hips and pushed her so that she was half lying on top of him that her attention was drawn back to her brother. It didn't need an answer from him, Killian would never just let her down like that.
He had leaned back with her, not for the first time, this position was familiar to her and yet she suddenly felt odd about it. Her brother ignored Thomas' suggestion and turned to Dominik.
"Aren't you going to check the orders that go out tomorrow?" he asked and Dominik shrugged. He wasn't as tall and fit as the other two men in the room, but had an attractive face and radiated at least as much charm as Thomas with his friendly and lively disposition.
"I actually wanted to tell you that the guy from yesterday hasn't said a word since we caught him. No idea if Sebastian is behind it or not, there were no new incidents yesterday and he seemed to have acted alone." He explained tiredly and yawned heartily.
"What incident?" Sam asked, turning to Killian, who briefly gave her a cool look. But when she thought about it, he'd rarely been very warm. Killian was just Killian. The cold he radiated belonged to him.
“We've had problems with adulterated cocktails for a few days. A young bartender put KO drops in some girls' drinks and groped them afterwards. He didn't get any further, Gideon dislocated his shoulder when he noticed it." Killian explained and his hand stroked her back up to her neck.
"So, I can order one without hesitation?" Sam asked jokingly and grinned at her brother cheeky. Killian pulled her closer and looked at her closely. He was usually very sensitive to her desire for alcohol and was careful not to drink anything strong.
"Of course, you can. Dominik, when you go downstairs, tell a waitress to bring Samantha a cocktail. And take that boy to the police and have the girls report him." He just nodded, pushed himself up from his seat and gave Sam a good look.
As far as Samantha knew, Sebastian was another club owner in the area. Ever since Killian opened his shop, the two men have been fighting each other. And it looked like everyone was ready to screw up the other's business by any means necessary.
"What would the nerd like? Sex on the beach?" Samantha nodded briefly and smiled gratefully at him, while out of the corner of her eye she saw Thomas watching after him until he had left the lounge.
"Sometimes it's really a shame that he doesn't play by my rules." The dark-haired whispered with a conspiratorial grin and winked at Sam when he met her eyes. Samantha grinned widely and laid her head on Killian's shoulders.
"Since when do you allow me to drink without much protest?" she asked, unable to get close enough to him. Killian grinned at her and brushed his lips across her forehead.
"You're cute when you're tipsy, besides, I like it when women can't resist." Samantha laughed at the joke, but something in the back of her mind snapped, telling her he might as well be being serious what he was saying.
