Part: 99 Missing Him

Butterfly’s P.O.V.

I woke up in the evening after taking a nap and found him putting his clothes into the luggage.

I immediately sat up, asking him, “where are you going?”

“I have urgent work and for that, I have to go out of the L.A.” As he told me, I pouted sadly at him.

“It’s my birthday day in two days and you’re going. That’s not fair.” I complained in a gloomy tone.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be back before your birthday and then we’ll celebrate it together.” He assured me, placing his hand on my face and blinking his eyes.

“I’ll miss you,” I uttered dejectedly.

“I’ll miss you more.” He kissed my forehead after leaning down and then he pulled me into his warm arms.

I came to drop him off at the airport, not feeling good as he is going away from me for two days. My lips are drawn down in sadness as now I can’t even imagine a single minute without him.

We are standing outside of the airport.

“How will I sleep without him because now I’m habitual of sleeping in his arms.” I wondered and became sadder.

He clasped my face and tried to cheer me up, “Butterfly, it’s just about two days. You’re upset as if I’m going for forever.”

“Shut up.” I hit his chest. “You don’t know now I can’t imagine even a single second without you.”

“I know because it's as hard for me as it is for you, love, but it’s important, I have to go. Please, don’t be upset.” He explained to me lovingly, caressing my cheeks with his thumbs.

“Okay.” I gave him a small smile.

“I love you, Butterfly.” He gave me a goodbye kiss on my lips after cupping my face. He touched his forehead with mine after the pure kiss.

I raised my heels from the floor. “I love you more,” I whispered after kissing his forehead, standing on my toes.

“I’ll see you after two days. Until then take care of yourself, have your meals on time, sleep at night on time and please don’t get drunk in my absence because anybody can take your advantage. I didn’t punish you doesn’t mean you have the right to get drunk now.” He instructed me like a father, making me smile broadly.

Only he has the power to bring a smile to my face at any moment. I’m grateful to have him.

“Anything else, Daddy?” I asked him in a teasing tone and giggled.

He shook his head in disbelief. “Yes, and take proper rest in these two days because when I’m back, I won’t let you sleep.” He stated, smirking, gliding his hands up my arms and making me shiver with his touch and searingly intense gaze.

“What will you do?” I asked, playing along.

“Do you seriously want to know this right now, Butterfly?” He asked, gently holding my jaw, moving closer to my face and gazing into my eyes intensely.

I’m just staring at him silently and my heartbeat is racing because of our proximity. “Yes!” I whispered.

He moved towards my ear, caressing his warm breath on my cheek, arousing me. I clutched his blazer in response and my breath is getting heavy with anticipation of knowing what he will do when he comes back after two days.

“You’ll come to know about this when I come back.” He answered and moved away from me before laughing out loud.

I frowned at him. “I hate you.”

He took me in a side hug. “I love you more.” He kissed my head as I rested my head on his shoulder, smiling.

“I’ll miss you so much.” A solitary tear trickled down my cheek mechanically.

“Hey, love, don’t cry.” He gently wiped my tear and more tears rolled down my cheeks.

“I’m not crying,” I said, wiping my tears with the back of my palms.

“Let’s go home, I’m not going.” As he uttered, my eyes widened in shock.

“Are you kidding?”

He placed his hand on my face. “No, I’m not joking. I’m serious because I can’t see the sadness on my Butterfly’s face. I told you nothing is more important than you for me.”

My heart filled with joy after listening to his words and mechanically a contented smile spread across my face.

“I love you.” I rested my head on his chest.

“I love you more.” He embraced me in his warm arms and kissed my hair.

“Now go or else you would miss the flight,” I said as we pulled away.

“I’m not going.” He said in a serious tone.

“Ethan, I’m fine. Go.”

“Promise me, you won’t cry.”

“I promise.” I pecked his lips.

He kissed me deeply and passionately after yanking me to himself by grabbing my waist. I kissed him back with equal passion, encircling my arms around his neck, and I deepened the kiss by pulling him closer to myself.

“I love you so fucking much.” He whispered and kissed my forehead before finally leaving with his luggage.

My heart ached, seeing him going away from me.

As he turned his face towards me, I waved at him, smiling.

“I love you.” We both mouthed and beamed at each other.

I gazed at him until he disappeared into the crowd.

I don’t know how I’m going to spend these two days without him. Now only I’m feeling so empty without him.

I came back home and the first work I did is to wear one of his shirts because I feel close to him. I embraced myself, closing my eyes with a beatific smile on my face, feeling as if he is hugging me.

After that, I comfortably sit on the bed and sent a message to the group to know about the condition of the other girls.

Me: How was the punishment, Girls?

I should have asked him.

I called up Eve.

“Hello.” She answered the call.

“Eve, where will you stay tonight, I mean at our place or Dev?” I asked her.

“What happened?”

“Ethan has gone out for two days. So I was thinking to stay with you.” I told her.

“No problem, I’ll stay with you for two days.” As she said, a bright smile flashed on my face.

“You’re a true friend, Eve, love you.” I squealed merrily.

“Love you more, babes and I’ll reach our place in an hour.”

“Okay. See you.”

“Bye.” She disconnected the call.

Eve and I were now lying on the bed and talking. She is looking so tired today because of the punishment.

“How was your experience?” She suddenly asked me.

I have to tell her, I can’t lie to her.

“Ethan didn’t punish me.” As I told her, her eyes widened in shock.

“What? Why?”

“Because he didn’t want to hurt me and he finally confessed that he is in love with me,” I told her merrily.

“Seriously you have changed him completely. I’m so happy for you.” She hugged me.

“I’m so blessed to have him, Eve and I never want to lose him.”

“Don’t worry, you won’t.” She reassured me, placing her hand on my face.

I woke up in the middle of the night, sweating and breathing heavily because of the nightmare. I looked at Eve, she is in a deep sleep. I don’t want to disturb her sleep.

I can’t sleep peacefully without him. I’m missing him so much. I can’t even talk to him, he must be in flight.

I again fell back to sleep after praying for his safe journey.

Next morning

He called me as soon as he switched on his phone. “Hey, Butterfly.” I felt like I got my breath back, listening to his euphonious voice.

“I’m missing you so much.”

“I’m missing you more. Uff it was so boring to travel without you.”

“Then why didn’t you take me with you?”

“I didn’t want to bore you. Tell me what are you doing?”

“I’m at the cafe. Working nonstop, so that I’ll miss you a bit less.”

“I asked you to take proper rest and you’re doing the opposite. Great!” He said sarcastically.

“What to do, I don’t want to miss you. If I miss you, I’ll cry and I don’t want to cry because I promised you that I won’t cry.” I told him in one go.

He laughed out. “You’re a complete chatterbox.”

“I was born chatterbox.” I giggled after saying this.

“I love you.” He suddenly confessed, making me smile.

“I love you more, baby. Mwah.” I kissed him on the phone, making the sound and we both laughed.
