Leave him
“Don't look at me like that, I couldn't handle losing you, okay,” Olivia said with a grin, not sure why Sydney was giving her a bitchy look. But we're in danger with no one to save them. She had to do what was necessary.
“It's… it's not like that… I'm just ashamed,” she was ashamed to witness. Something so deadly yet having no idea what to do. Those men were aiming at her, and Olivia stepped in to save her.
“We are friends, sisters… I wouldn't let anything happen to you,” Olivia remarked and shoved the bowl of soup in her lap, Sydney let out a heavy exhale and cradled the bowl in her hands. It was a bad night.
“You've changed… those bastards made life hard for you,” Sydney muttered as tears lingered in her eyes, the thought of the Garcia's made her blood boil. Their deeds ruined Olivia's life completely, she had nothing left. A girl who once dreamed of becoming a lawyer was not a mafia, doing exactly what she was against.
“Don't think much… you are safe here… Pedro said you can stay as long as you want,” she already put the past behind her, all the moments she spent in the past were buried deep. She was now a different person. They bullied her once, but not anymore.
“I already asked Zane to teach me…how to shoot and fight… he said yes,” Sydney mumbled with a grin, she asked him if he could teach her, and he said yes. Olivia nodded, both needed to be tough, so they could face their enemies together.
“Do you think that woman wants me dead… I can't think of anyone who could do that,” Sydney said after a while, she was certain that Antonia was behind the attack.
“Certain, that woman is bitter… I'm sure she won't stop,” Olivia agreed with Sydney's assumptions. Only Antonia would stoop so low. Both needed to teach her a lesson. It seemed she was growing wings.
“I hate that woman… how can she be so cruel, every day I…”? Sydney lashed out, hating the thought of Antonia. However, when she glanced at Olivia, she seemed occupied with her phone.
“Is everything okay?” Sydney asked with concern, Olivia nodded and gripped the phone tightly.
“I have to go, if you need anything… feel free to ask the servants,” she informed her friend before she left the room. Why did Corina text here?
Olivia was heading to the terrace, where Corina said she wanted to meet her in person? The woman was so shameless to call her. Both disliked each other.
Shortly after, Olivia climbed the stairs leading to the top, the day was bright, and the sun was at its full peak. She woke up feeling refreshed, although she was sad, she didn't wake up in Pedro's arms despite falling asleep when he was around.
Keeping that aside, Olivia spotted Corina. Like most times, she was wearing a short half-shoulder dress reaching mid-thigh high. The belly area had an opening showing off her toned belly.
“What do you want,” Olivia asked cheekily, there was bad blood between them. Upon hearing her, Corina turned around and scanned her from head to toe as if she were a nobody. Olivia ignored her sour look and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Glad you came Olivia,” Corina remarked with an exhalation, flipping her hair off her shoulders as she slowly walked around and stopped beside Olivia.
“You have only today to leave Pedro's life,” Corina said lazily, only for Olivia to glance at her with disdain in her eyes. She thought she heard wrong. Corina let out a sarcastic chuckle and stepped backwards,
“You heard me right… I want you gone from here Olivia, there's nothing for you here,” it was simple, after the humiliations she suffered at the hands of Pedro, and all because of the woman standing in front of her.
“ Let me guess… you are desperate and afraid of me because now I'm his desire… the woman he wants to be with, “Olivia remarked sarcastically, washing her hands in the air. Corina was shameless to ask her to leave. Pedro was a grown man, he made the decisions, especially when it came to whom he wanted in his life.
“Don't be overconfident… I've known that man my whole life… he doesn't like you, you can't give him what I can,” Corina smirked, knowing full well she was the only woman who could give Pedro the satisfaction he desired. He wasn't an ordinary man, Olivia was plain without anything good. She was too nice for Pedro, who desired more than a relationship of roses and gift cards.
“Corina, I'll ignore what you've said now… but let me remind you… I'm not one of those women you bully, certainly not afraid of you… stop this nonsense because the man doesn't want you,” it was simple, Corina was forcing things. Trying to be the alpha female in Pedro's life. She had seen such women before. Hannah and Solange, all these were all bitter women.
“I can be very dangerous Olivia… you shouldn't mess with me… I'm certain you are familiar with his nightmare problem,” Corina remarked nonchalantly as she circled Olivia. Her voice was of pure mockery, Olivia's brows knitted together when Corina stopped in front of her.
“I'm his doctor, the woman who got him out of his childhood trauma… what do you know, let's just say I have full control over everything” Corina added, snapping her fingers. Olivia was curious to know why Corina turned out to be someone Pedro kept around.
“Leave Olivia because I'll make sure Pedro is miserable… we don't want the past repeating itself,”
“I don't care about his past, I'm here nothing will happen to him,” she had never been sure about anything else. But she knew one thing. Pedro was hurt, no wonder he was like that. At first, she hated him, but when she spent that night with him. She realized something, there was a traumatic event he went through which left him like that. His mental health was affected, he had nightmares every night, probably the reason he refused her to sleep in his room.
“You can't stop what's going to happen… I'm the only one who can keep him under control, he's in my grasp Olivia…so for his sake… disappear from here… go away anyone but far from us,” Corina spat out angrily, by now Olivia was sure Corina abused her power as a psychologist. She was supposed to make Pedro well, but she turned him into a monster.
“I won't let you mark my words… if you haven't seen hell before… then I'll make sure you go through it,” Olivia said boldly, her determination, what drove her to fight was something deep she felt for Pedro. She had come to realize that she had a soft spot for him.
“Haha, don't make me laugh Olivia… why don't you go to that lover boy of yours… oh wait he doesn't know you are Olivia Altamirano,” Corina pointed out in pure mockery, Olivia's hands clenched tightly to her side. Corina was annoying, she knew about her real identity. But that didn't matter.
“Corina, I'll have you know I'm not like Ira or those women you bully… I'll stay here and will only leave when he makes me… when Pedro says the words… he's mine, so you know,” saying that she walked out on Corina, her day was ruined all because of that woman.
“How cute,” Corina muttered with a lazy yawn. She was going to have so much fun.
“Where did you go… I was looking for you?” It was Gabby who met her halfway., Olivia who had been lost in thoughts, not sure why Corina's words got to her, looked up and found Gabby.
“Is everything okay,” she asked, and Gabby grinned.
“We are throwing a party… I was hoping we could go shopping,” Gabby said, taking her by the arm. Olivia didn't want to go anywhere, especially after what happened previously.
“Gabby, I'm not… “
“The big man is waiting outside. Consider it a date,” Gabby whispered mischievously, making Olivia's cheeks flush.
“Come on Olivia, leave this fool… we are going shopping,” Ira came and dragged her away. It had been a while since she saw Ira.
