Display of affection
“I want to talk to you privately,” Luciano whispered, ignoring Pedro's intrusion. His hand tightened around Olivia's back, although she was trying to escape him.
“I have nothing to say to you, let me go, you are causing a scene,” Olivia said through gritted teeth and managed to get out of Luciano's hold. He was ridiculous to touch her
“It's important that we talk, please Livia…consider… I'll be waiting for you on the roof,” Luciano muttered seriously, Olivia glared at him and stormed away from there. The entire time, Luciano had his eyes on her as she walked to the man he hated more than anything.
“Hey. It's not what you think I…”
“Come here,” Pedro snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her to him. A low gasp escaped Olivia's parted lips, surprising her at his show of possession.
“People are watching,” she muttered, not liking the look he was giving her, it was of hunger and domination. Olivia shivered when he caressed her face with his fingers.
“Went against me, didn't you?” He murmured as he played with the loose strands of her hair, Olivia swallowed hard as she maintained eye contact with him.
“I…well, this is the dress I could find,” she stuttered nervously, having no idea what he was thinking about. Pedro was unpredictable. Who knew what he was thinking.
“I picked a dress,” he whispered seriously, one of his hands traveling up her spine, coaxing out a shiver, a sweet shock, as the warmth of his palm met her bare skin. Olivia felt the Strength of his hand, and the gentleness, as it closed over her neck and bent her head back. His mouth hardly touched hers, a more soft kiss than an actual one. She made a little sound at the brush of his lips and kept her face upturned, probing for more.
“Let's, I mean let's have some wine… I'm dying to taste some and…” what was he doing in public, Pedro was shameless to want to kiss her and display such strange affection in front of people.
“Baby,” he muttered huskily, sending a shiver down her spine as he kissed her unexpectedly. Another dense decline, a dizzying force as he opened her mouth with his. He reached deeper, his tongue finding ticklish places that brought out a shuddering chuckle from her throat.
“Mmm,” Olivia tried to coil around him, holding him with her arching body. His mouth was unhurried and searching, the kisses rough at first, then relaxing as if unraveling from their warmth. The delight thickened, and hard excitement soared through her, giving rise to the yearning for full ripeness. She wasn't aware of moving backwards, when Pedro secured her in his arms, holding her in place and took her mouth again, deeply, while she tried to grasp his tongue, striving to push him as far inside as possible. She wanted to lie back on something and surrender to him wholly. Something had been cut loose in her. She was inundated with passion, drunk, and part of it was because of Pedro, his cologne invaded her nostrils causing her to reel off in pleasure.
He kissed her throat, licking the delicate, sensitive skin, his lips brushing the twinge of her pulse. Gasping, Olivia skimmed her hands up to his hair, so fluffy and thick, with layers of thick silk in her palms. When she suddenly broke the kiss and moved away from him.
“No,” Olivia realized people had been staring at them. Glancing up, she found Pedro looking at her with a satisfied smirk, obviously feeling proud of his deed" "You look gorgeous my queen,” he muttered and ruled his thumb over her lips as if wiping away something. Feeling embarrassed, Olivia threw herself in his arms and Pedro hugged her back, his hand reached for her neck and gently caressed her to calm her down.
After she was collected, Pedro took her by the hand and led her to a group of men who were standing at a table chatting and talking among themselves.
“Everyone, meet my woman… Ms Livia Gonzalez,” made said getting the men's attention, and they all turned and had grins plastered on their faces. Just to know they saw her with Pedro made her cheeks and ears burn from embarrassment.
“So is the woman huh,”
“I see what this bastard did here… to make us single dogs jealous," the men commented as they all greeted her, Olivia had never seen Pedro with such men besides his mafia friends. It was good to see him talking casually.
“Ms Livia, well, our wine is the finest… made from natural fruits… I'm sure you'll like it,” one of the men in the red tux explained while pouring her a glass. Pedro whispered a quick explanation about whom the men were, and she relaxed a bit.
“Check out the color, opacity, and viscosity,” the man said as he poured the grape-colored looking wine into the crystal stem glass and handed it to her.
“The most important thing is to sip and sniff,” Pedro said, smiling as he gestured for her to taste. Olivia nodded. Although, has had a fair share of wine tasting in the past with her father.
“When you first start smelling the wine, think big to small. …” the same man continued while Olivia raised the glass to her lips
“Taste is how we use our tongues to observe the wine, but also, once you swallow the wine, the aromas may change because you're receiving them retro-nasally….” This time Pedro who explained to her and Olivia got it, the taste was remarkable. It wasn't too tannin or acidic, and not too alcoholic. She took another sip and nodded.
“The best,” she gave her view and the men around clapped and cheered happily, Olivia was stunned to find the crowd had increased. Glancing at Pedro, he winked at her and kept his arm around her waist protectively.
“The queen has spoken…gentlemen, please enjoy,” the owner remarked, raising his glass so did the rest, Olivia turned to Pedro and was short of words.
“It's okay,”
“Care for a dance,” she whispered, gesturing to him on the dance floor. Pedro followed her gaze and spotted a few couples dancing to the soft rhythm of the music.
“I'd be a fool to let down such an offer…shall we,” Pedro murmured in amusement as he took her hand and led her to the dance floor
“Mr Ramirez, are you any good?” Olivia asked mischievously, he didn't seem like someone who could dance. His demeanor and aura were too much on the domineering side than someone with a carefree jovial spirit
“Are you calling me a bad dancer,” he asked with a small frown, both were moving slowly accompanying the music, Pedro's hands rested on Olivia's hips while hers were on his shoulders. She smiled warmly and twirled, only for him to hug her from behind and moved rhythmically together.
Their show of affection entertained the crowd, but far in a corner, Luciano was gulping down one shot of tequila after the other. His eyes were groping with rage as he slammed the small glasses on the table and took another. Watching Olivia dancing with Pedro angered him,
“How dare he touch her,” he saw how Pedro kissed Livia in front of everyone? The way she was smiling at him, the way she was looking at him with love in her eyes. Luciano only recalled Olivia looking at him like that.
“Tsk, tsk…the well-known businessman has been reduced to nothing and all because of a woman,” came Corina who stood by Luciano's table.
“Get away!” Luciano yelled and tried to stand only to lose balance and Corina caught him before he fell down, “scram!” He yelled and shrugged Corina away, only to drop back on the chair.
“I have a solution to your problem… we can kill two birds with one stone, Mr. Garcia,” Corina said shrewdly and took a bottle of white powder out of her purse and slammed it on the table. Luciano, who was feeling tipsy, glanced up at her with a lazy expression, not knowing who the woman was. But Corina always set her plans in motion. Her eyes were fixed on the waiter carrying a tray with two glasses of wine on them. One glass contained something to trigger Pedro's aggression and madness.
