Not a monster
After what happened, Olivia decided to talk to Corina. She had never seen such a bitter woman before. Corina was madly obsessed with Pedro. Even if they had a past together. It didn't mean she should force love. The holding room was located underground. It was a dark place with minimal lighting.
She was severely beaten, chained and left in a bad state. Olivia wasn't sorry. Corina deserved it. She was the devil, a bitter woman with no heart.
“Olivia, you think he'll feel something for you?” Corina said at the top of her voice as soon as she saw Olivia walk in. Her face was covered in dried blood, her hair was messy. The entire scenery was unpleasant. Olivia felt nauseous looking at Corina.
“Don't fool yourself, Pedro doesn't love… he feels nothing for women but disgust… to him, women are just toys he fucks to get his revenge,” she spat out with a sarcastic chuckle. Her big eyes widened in mockery.
“Learn something, Corina… I don't care what you say, I'm not those people you manipulate… so stop this drama,” Olivia cut her off, Corina was a psychologist. Someone who knew how the brain worked. She was familiar with manipulating people with her theories.
“Don't be ridiculous… I've lived with him and the new flash…he's our family pet… Pedro is nothing but that homeless, filthy boy my mom bought for our satisfaction,” Corina yelled while struggling to get free. The anger in her eyes had Olivia wonder how sick her family was to do something so disgusting as buying someone for their pleasure.
“That's inhuman, your mother was the sick one to do something so despicable to a little boy,” if she were there. She would have made sure Corina's Mom went to jail. What she did was abuse little Pedro. Turning him into a sex slave at a young age was a crime.
“If you love him as you say… then why did you do that to him… when you of all people know what scares him the most!” Olivia couldn't hold her anger, all she wanted was to lay her hands on Carina and make her pay. But she hated the idea of touching a filthy woman. Corina laughed sarcastically upon hearing Olivia's words.
“I'm sure he didn't tell you… his fucked up grandfather bought women… he didn't care when he made my mother his bed slave…he treated her like a slut,” Corina said, biting her lower lip angrily. If she had the power, she would have killed Pedro's grandfather with her bare hands, but he was lucky to have died.
“My family suffered at the hands of Ramirez… Why not take revenge… what my mother did to Pedro was revenge… we turned him into a monster who's scared of even his shadow,” Corina remarked with a sinister smirk tugging at the corners of her lips? The mockery in her eyes had Olivia wondering why people loved to make others suffer for the sins of their family.
First, it was Pedro. He was paying for his grandfather's sins. Then she paid a huge price, all because his father put someone in jail. Looking at Corina, laughing like a mad woman.
Olivia felt sorry, Corina grew up bitter, she was twisted and crazy. Her mother shouldn't have taken revenge but raised her children well.
After that visit, Olivia went back upstairs. She was lost in thoughts, wondering what was going to happen now that Luciano knew her real identity. Probably the entire family was discussing her existence.
“Hey… I thought you and Pedro were going out?” Ira asked staring Olivia back to her senses only to realize she was wandering.
“Is he ready, I left him getting ready,” Olivia said, glancing at her wristwatch. It had been a week, and Pedro was okay and had been busy with his mafia work.
“He's in the study I think… later on…we are going out for some drinks… Want to come,” Ira suggested, but Olivia's eyes were fixed on the closed study room door. For days, Pedro had been busy holding meetings with different men she didn't know. She wanted to ask, but unfortunately, she didn't think she should involve herself.
“Some work Olivia, don't worry… so tell me…we hate having a girl's night out… Sydney is bored…”
“I won't come… I'm thinking of taking Pedro out for dinner,” Olivia cut her off without even looking at Ira.
“Oh ok… so now bye…have to get ready,” Ira said and walked away, leaving Olivia wondering. Some top secrets she wasn't supposed to know…just as she was about to go, the study room door opened and Zane came out together with three men and Pedro. She didn't mind but waited for Pedro to finish.
“I'll give you a call, Zane, walk them out,” Pedro said when he glanced to the sides and saw Olivia.
“So…are you ready?” Pedro asked when he reached where Olivia was and caged her in his arms. She nodded, but her eyes were still glued to where the strange men were going together with Zane.
“Those… I haven't sent them before,” Olivia said, returning her gaze to Pedro… He secured her back with his arm and pushed her up, so she could match his height.
“Some old friends,”
“They don't seem Mexican,” Olivia said, they didn't look like they were Mexican at all. Pedro was too distracted kissing her neck and throat to say anything.
“Italians… had them fly down here…something came up,” he mumbled in between kisses. He couldn't get enough of her.
“I see… shall we go,” she grabbed his hand, but Pedro held her back? Olivia turned around to look at him.
“What?” He was just staring at her, his gaze was soft, and he cupped her face gently. Slowly tilting her head up.
“You look beautiful,” Pedro whispered, looking straight into her eyes. Was it just him, or she was looking different, Olivia found herself smiling at his compliment.
“Come on…stop wasting my time… I already arranged everything for us,” I said, breaking our gaze and dragging him away. They had some shopping to do and dinner to have.
After getting out of the house, Olivia already arranged for an escort. Pedro was stunned, by seeing his men waiting for them.
“Don't be surprised… I can't risk it… these men will keep us company,” she told him before he protested and told her something else. Pedro shrugged and followed her. It seemed she was the one in charge.

Meanwhile, Luciano was busy preparing a surprise dinner date for Olivia. After a long time, the love of his life was found. By hook or crook, he was going to have her.
“Sir… everything is ready,” one of his men informed him, and he nodded.
“About Corina?” Luciano asked while busy scrolling through his phone. Now that he knew Olivia was alive, he was going to win her back.
“She's locked up, but don't worry… everything is going smoothly,” the man said and waited for his boss to reply.
“Good,” he had a trump card, Olivia would soon be with him, and she would forgive him.
“Baby girl, I'll tell you everything soon… you won't hate me because I'm not the monster you think I am,” he whispered, glancing down at his hand. He was holding an old photo of him and Olivia's family. The first one he took the first day, she invited him to meet her family.
He considered her family his, he wasn't a monster to kill them in such a cruel way. That night he lost her but saved the people who meant the world to her.
