Chapter 34 Hate each other
Despite how early Antonia called her, she had the guts to accuse her of being Luciano's mistress. These Garcia's thought so highly of themselves. After returning from the bathroom, Olivia settled down. She refused whatever she was offered. She was a self-centered person. Rude and would do anything to prove everyone she was right.
“Madam, I said this the last time…on what accounts do you accuse me of sleeping with your son?” Olivia asked bitterly. Antonia was attacking her straightforwardly. Bianca was just playing with her nails, agreeing with her mother.
“My family has been through a lot… I understand how men are…my son is no different…he sees a beautiful woman and develops unwanted feelings,” Antonia said shrewdly, she didn't have to hide her hatred for her. Of course, she was beautiful. Despite the change of face.
Olivia knew what she was. Her heart was hers, her body was hers. It wasn't her fault that Luciano was mistreating his wife.
“I heard he was forced to marry that woman,” Olivia countered back, mockingly. Her voice held anger and irritation. Antonia was not happy as she stared at her without blinking. Bianca scoffed but stayed quiet.
“Young lady…my family is wealthy…well known all over…people will constantly try to paint us bad,” Antonia said, sounding sarcastic. I saw anger in her eyes. She was trying hard to hide her true, vicious form.
“I also heard your son was in love…well, with that girl…what's her name,” bOlivia said, pretending to recall the name. Before she even said anything, Antonia was shifting uncomfortably “bingo… Olivia…that daughter of a lawyer,” she said with an exclamation, and the room turned heavy. Antonia's face turned ashen.
“My son…has never been in any relationship with any girl of that name,” the woman countered back. By now, Olivia was happy. She was nervous about the mention of her name… Antonia was still.
“Chill Antonia… I just said … Anyway,” Olivia said in between chuckles when she stopped.
“What's that?” Bianca asked in alarm. Not just her, but Olivia too heard voices coming from outside.
“What's going on,” Antonia was on her feet and so was Bianca. They looked agitated as more angry voices were heard from outside.
“Ma'am! Ma'am!” The house help from earlier came running. She nearly fell if not for Antonia on the way.
“Talk…what's going on?” Antonia asked, seeing how the house help was bleeding. Both mother and daughter ran towards the door. Olivia didn't move.
Her cat-like eyes shifted to the girl with a bleeding forehead. Blood was dripping down like water. Without staying, she followed the vultures outside to see what was happening
“You family of murderers!”
“What else are you hiding!?”
“What did the poor girl and her family do to you!?”
Olivia came outside and was greeted by angry women and some men throwing stones. It was a frightening scene to watch.
“Get out now…guards!” Antonia shouted, seeing the noisy Intruders in her yard. Anger boiled in her as she stepped out the door and walked up to the pro. However, that was a mistake because the angry mob started throwing heavy stones at her.
“Ahh,” several stones landed on her. Antonia found herself on the cold floor.
“Murderers,” the people shouted.
“Stop it…where are all the guards?” Bianca shouted when the people kept stoning her mom. Poor Antonia couldn't do even more as she was surrounded. One stone after the other.
“Stop it now…she's innocent!” Bianca managed to run to her mom and shielded her. However, that didn't work because the angry mob started throwing heavy stones at them. With every impact, Antonia cried out. Blood oozed out from her skin like water. Bianca groaned, enduring the pain inflicted on her.
“You all deserve to die!”
“Killers…how many people have you killed!” The noises continued. Olivia standing by the door didn't move. Her expression was murderous as she watched the scenery before her. The pain being inflicted on Antonia was nothing compared to what she had done.
“Stop it, please…mom…mom stay with me!”Bianca kept shouting, seeing her mom unconscious. Antonia was badly hurt. Her head and entire face were covered in blood.
“All of you will pay!”
“For plotting!” the people kept saying until they heard police sirens. Stopping in their tracks. Olivia was alerted when she heard the police were coming.
“We should go,” they all took to their heels. Scattering as they ran for their lives. Several police cars drove in through the open gate which had been invaded. The guards took down.
“W-what…how did this happen?”Olivia rushed to help Bianca.
“Keep quiet and help me get her inside!”Bianca snarled as tears rained down her face. Olivia was stunned. Despite how injured, Bianca was. Her arms were covered in blood, although her face only had one cut on the forehead.
“Careful…careful, please…she's my mom,” Bianca shouted when one of the policemen helped them get Antonia inside and to her room.
“Don't worry…we'll arrest all of them, including the press,” the policeman said, nodding at Bianca immediately as they made sure an injured Antonia was laid on the bed.
“Call the doctor now." Bianca yelled, turning to look at Olivia just standing there like a lost cause.
“My phone is down… I…”Olivia said, showing Bianca her dead phone. Feeling irritated, Bianca snapped and stormed out of the room.
Olivia remained in the room. Her eyes fixed on Antonia. The lady was miserable. She could have gotten killed if those people didn't stop stoning her.
“Poor you, “Olivia muttered.

Meanwhile, the first thing Luciano did when he was sober enough was ask Pedro to meet him at the office. Although he didn't know if he would show up, a surprise came when Pedro knocked at his door.
“And I thought you wouldn't come,” Luciano said as both men settled down. Pedro, as usual, didn't say much. His expression was dark and emotionless. Luciano had never seen such a man before. He only heard rumors, but now sees Pedro. He was convinced.
The man was confident. Like he was so sure of himself. The way he carried himself as if nothing would happen or as if the world revolved around him.
“So I was thinking…your president and I discussed a few things concerning our work,” Luciano started. Pedro didn't bother. He hated the sight of Luciano and seeing him. The need to strangle him to death was there.
“I have a question, if you don't mind,” Luciano added, shoving aside some files and glancing up at Pedro. The man didn't seem to be interested in discussing the business of any sort.
“Ms. Gonzalez… I was bothered…just curiosity”
“My private affairs…you should know when to mix business with personal affairs,” Pedro retorted, realizing where Luciano was going with her words. He had an interest in Olivia. It was there written in his eyes.
“A man like you and a woman like her… I want to know if it's genuine?” Luciano said anyway. He wasn't going to allow Pedro to use Livia if he didn't have a true intention. Even if she was his employee.
“And who gave you the right to question us… I thought you were a married man,” Pedro shot back and saw a flicker of anger in Luciano's eyes. But of course, that flicker disappeared and Luciano smiled.
“Yes… I'm just looking out for Ms. Gonzalez…you know these days, men…”
“I've seen men…they pretend to love a woman…then stab her in the back,” Pedro cut Luciano off and said with a faint smirk. The words hit Luciano like an ocean wave. Reminding him of the memories, he was trying to hurt no matter what. His expression darkened. His hand tightly clenched so much that Pedro saw veins nearly bursting.
“Sometimes things aren't what they seem to be,” Luciano said through gritted teeth. Doing everything he could to keep calm.
“Well, we can't blame anyone right…sometimes it depends on the type of mother you have or father…Hehe a mother willing to get rid of another woman all because of a man,” Pedro said in between chuckles, his words were lethal. Hitting on the nail and Luciano was drenched in sweat as he shifted uncomfortably in his chair.
"Mr. Ramirez, you seem so knowledgeable about the world…about relationships…but have you considered a woman forcing a married man to love her…using her power to destroy an innocent family?'' Luciano shot back. Anger flashed in his eyes because Pedro's words reminded him of a past incident.
"An innocent woman who fell in love…was the first one but another cunning woman set out to have her way," this time there was anger in Pedro's tone. His eyes flashed red. Both men were just giving out theories without knowing about either of their lives but Pedro loathed the Garcias more than they could imagine.
