Chapter 6 She can't walk

Olivia's POV

“Ms. I'm Elena…your trainer,” a lady wearing a white nurse uniform said, smiling as soon as I entered a large room with walls painted white. The room looked so vibrant and colorful, not sure if from the large glass window with the white curtains drawn apart. We were on the second floor of the mansion,

“Okay but…” I didn't know what to say. Here I was still worrying about myself and how I was going to get back at my enemies. Some bossy man saved my life and brought me to his mansion. Since last night I had trouble getting any shut eyes. The thought of what had happened for the past year haunted my sleep.

The need to walk again and face my enemy's head was necessary. I hated being vulnerable and at the mercy of a man. Order or whatever they called him, didn't seem like an ordinary man.

From his mansion, which I only saw inside, not outside, I could tell he was rich.

“I got the doctor's report…we just need to work on making sure your muscles are strong enough…” the nurse said as she inspected my legs. I felt a little pain when she took my leg in her hand. It was early in the morning. I was woken up by the servants, although I hated anyone attending to me. In this situation, I needed all the help I could get. Bathing was a problem when I couldn't walk.

“Let…let me go…don't you ever lay your filthy hands on me!” I screamed, shoving Pedro away with so much force that if he weren't a man, then he would have stumbled backwards, unfortunately, he was a pretty tough man.

“It's okay… you'll be fine” he muttered, forcing himself to pick me up. He didn't even regard my anger or get scared.

“I'm fine… I don't need your fucking help!” I growled out and tried to get up on my own. Resting my hands on the edge of the bed, I used all my strength to push myself up, biting my bottom lip so hard that I could feel hot liquid dripping down as the metallic taste of blood hit my tongue.

“I know…come on,” the man said calmly and managed to wrap his arm around my back and inner knees. He didn't even use strength as he lifted me off the cold floor, carrying me in his arms, and carefully placed me on the bed. My eyes were closed as the disgusting hands he had put around me faded.

“Get out!” I made a low yell, still with my eyes closed. I hated all men, no matter how nice they were. I knew how these men were by now. All this was a lie. He was just like Luciano. All men were exactly like Luciano, no matter how nice you treated them.

“No…please that's…stop!” I screamed, jerking back to my senses when the nurse did something which caused an excruciating pain that had me moving my left leg, only to open my eyes and find her staring at me. The sharp sting when she massaged my legs was something I couldn't bear.

“This is good news… everything is fine…please, you just need to put in a little effort…don't be afraid, “the lady said as she looked at me with a smile plastered on her face. I didn't want this at all. I was better off by myself.

“I don't need your help…please leave, “I said, looking the other way. I didn't want anyone to help me or feel pity. I had this under control and no man was going to deceive me again.

“Ms. I was ordered by the boss…”

“Get the fuck out!” I yelled angrily as my eyes shifted to her. She was startled by my voice as she retreated backwards nervously. “Get out now and tell your boss I don't fucking need him!”

“Y…yes Ms” The lady was too nervous to look at me as she bowed awkwardly and brushed out of the room.

“Damn it!”

Looking around the empty room, tears fell on my face, despite how much I would rather not cry. Tears showed weakness. I didn't want that. I had to fight and make sure Luciano paid dearly for what he did to me, but first I needed to walk.

“I see,” Pedro said as he went into a trail of thoughts. His folded hand connected to his chin upon hearing the report of the physiotherapist he hired for his little princess. The lady stood before him shaking from fear. He had this power over Everyone. Whenever they were in his presence, they trembled in fear. Terrible was a man sitting opposite his desk. Blonde-haired and wearing a gray t-shirt and black ripped jeans with black canvas. His eyes narrowed suspiciously.

“I don't understand why she's being so stubborn” the man lashed out, scaring the lady even more. This was serious, time was running out, and they expected her to put some effort into this, so they could be their first love on the Garcia.

“Leave” Pedro ordered, and the woman didn't even waste time as he bowed nervously and stormed out of the large office, breathing only after she exited the devil's den. Nothing scared her more than being summoned by the devil himself, and surviving a day like this was another life added to her life.

“Sacha…you are being soft on this woman…how dare she refuse you when you saved her life…the guts damn it,” the lady was beginning to get on everyone's nerves? Thereafter, his boss did it for her, and she was still acting up.

“Zane, are you lecturing me or…” Pedro said, narrowing his eyes coldly. Zane, who was the mafia's right-hand man and his second in command, shook his head in denial, raising his hand in the air in surrender form.

“Hell no boss…he-he…never… I'm just saying…the entire team is crazed,” Zane said with a nervous chuckle, keeping his hands raised. Of course, he knew any better than to question the head of the table and the man whom no one dared to cross. Pedro didn't pay attention to Zane's sarcastic laughter as he leaned back in his chair, picking up his glass of champagne.

His long slender fingers closed around the crystal stem, scanning the fizzy clear liquid inside like a predator assessing it's pretty. It was fascinating how he was interested in something so delicate. Something broke from inside.

“Okay, just tell us why…the lawyer wasn't such a good one…he sent our men to prison… Ignacio Altamirano never missed a chance to pry into our underworld affairs…” Zane said seriously, still wondering why his boss chose to save the enemy's daughter. Not just save him, but hire the best doctors from all over the world just to revive her. Everyone knew how they found the girl. She was dead when they found her in the woods, injured beyond recognition.

“Just focus on paving a way for her to enter the Garcias' lives soon,” Pedro said after some time as his eyes shifted to Zane. He hated being questioned, especially by those who were supposed to adhere to his rules, but the man sitting before him was fond of causing trouble and disobeying his orders.

“That's being taken care of… I have my men ready and waiting to teach the lady a few tricks” Zane said, chuckling at his words. By a few tricks, he meant teaching the little lady how to hold a gun and fight like a pro…with what he discovered about her. She was a goodie- two shoes. Clean record and loved puppies, she believed in sunshine and rainbows, but here there was no such thing as cuddling with puppies or watching rainbows. Instead they cuddled with guns and knives and fixed their enemies by fighting and killing mercilessly.
