Chapter 79 Getting all the attention
Olivia elegantly entered the party hall room, dressed in a fine chic strapless black tube top, which was a sequin floor-length dress with a long spit, showing off her long slender legs. Her shoulders were exposed with her hair pinned neatly above her head.
“What can I get for your madam,” the waiter behind the counter asked, smiling at Olivia? Of course, Olivia ordered something strong. Zane was somewhere around. It was best they weren't seen together.
“Here you go,” the waiter gave her a cocktail. Olivia gave a slight nod and tasted the fruity drink. Her eyes darted around until they fell on Alfred.
The second Garcia son was busy talking to a few men. He glanced at her more like an accident and raised his glass as if for a toast. Shifting her gaze, Olivia saw many yet familiar faces. But was yet to see Antonia. The place was crowded with flashing lights blinding her.
The first person who approached her was the eldest Garcia daughter. Olivia placed the glass on the counter as Bianca joined her.
“And I thought you wouldn't show up…how nice,” Bianca said, flaunting herself, just like every time the Garcia heiress was beautiful from every angle, with beautiful flawless skin, the body of a model with curves in the right places. Dressed in a sheath burgundy mermaid dress exposing her back, Bianca was a woman to see.
“Nice to see you too Bianca,” Olivia said with a grimace, gripping her purse at her front. Bianca might be smiling and complimenting Olivia, but she noticed the disdainful glimmer in her eyes.
“I wonder why my brother invited you, don't you feel bad… being called a mistress,” Bianca said, flipping her hair off her shoulders in a cheeky way, Olivia heard her loud and clear but chose to ignore her.
“What can I say, I'm quite loved… it's not every time a man sees me and overlooks my beauty… your brother wasn't an exception,” Olivia remarked sarcastically and took a sip of her drink? Bianca was boiling inside so that even Solange was standing. Afar clenched her hands tightly. She was hoping and praying Livia Gonzalez didn't show up. But seeing her looking so beautiful made her angry.
“Aren't you ashamed huh, after what you did, you dare to show your face,” came Solange and she wasn't happy? Olivia turned to see who it was and smiled.
“And hello there… great party, but I'm sure you can do better next time,” Olivia remarked, getting up from the stool. Both Bianca and Solange were burning inside. The fact that Olivia was acting like someone important baffled them.
“Leave immediately… I would rather not see you,” Solange made a low yell and grabbed Olivia's hand and viciously pulled him forward, ready to drag her outside when.
“That's enough,” it was Luciano who snarled as he joined them. Solange and Bianca were tongue-tied. Shocked seeing Luciano angry. He came and stood in front of Olivia. Solange stared at her husband, then slowly let go of Olivia's hand.
“My apologies Ms Gonzalez… it's nice you came… please feel free to walk around,” Luciano said with a smile, extending his hand toward Olivia. To everyone's shock, he turned Olivia's hand and slowly leaned down and kissed the back of her hand.
“Lu,” Antonia came in huge strides and pulled Luciano back.
“What's all this, huh,”
“She's my guest mother…” Luciano said with a smirk, turning to his mom, Antonia was seeing red as she turned to look at Olivia. Her eyes showed nothing but hostility. Disdain and murder intent.
“We have special businessmen Mr. Phillips invited, and they want to meet you and your wife,” Antonia said through gritted teeth, shifting her gaze from Luciano then to Olivia and Solange.
“Mom, I'm sure you can handle it, I have a guest if you don't mind,” Luciano refused, fixing his eyes on Olivia. Olivia saw that the man was doing much better. After a few weeks, he was on his feet again.
“Bro, I don't think…” Bianca started, unfortunately she was cut off.
“As my son-in-law, I'm sure you know any better than to go against me… I invited these people specifically for you and my daughter,” came Solange's father, Olivia kept quiet as she enjoyed the family drama unfolding before her. Luciano was trapped; hence he ended up agreeing.
With that, Luciano and Solange walked away, leaving Antonia, Bianca, and Solange's father sternly looking at her
“Please excuse me…lovely party by the way,” Olivia said and walked away, leaving the three people standing like statues. This was just the beginning.
“Madam,” one waiter approached her secretly, Olivia stopped and stared at him.
“You know what to do,” she muttered, only for the man to hear. Smiled and took a glass of champagne. The man nodded and retreated away, he was dressed just like the other waiters. However, this particular man was Pedro's trusted man.
“Time to spit the truth, Antonia,” Olivia muttered as she placed the small bottle of liquid in her hand. It was about time the party was ruined. Before he could do anything.
The man didn't possess any gentlemanly grace, but she came to love his aggressive looks. His predatory moves made him stand out in any crowd and look at how women swarm around him.
Olivia relaxed and took a sip of her champagne. Next, it was an excited Bianca rushing to Pedro.
“The man has fans,” came Zane, who nudged at her and stood beside her.
“I don't care,” Olivia said irritably and shifted comfortably.
“He-he, the lady is jealous… don't worry that package is only yours,” Zane muttered, leaning close to her, Olivia gave an eye roll but hated the sight of Bianca clinging to Pedro like some desperate woman.
“What is she doing here?” Olivia asked when someone unexpected walked in, looking beautiful and lost. Not just her, but Zane too was amazed rather than shocked. Even Alfredo had noticed the woman who just joined the party.
“Sydney,” Olivia muttered, knowing full well Sydney was risking her life being here. She was about to cause a dangerous scene, and Sydney was around.
“I'll take care of this,” Zane said and left Olivia. Zane and Alfredo seemed to have arrived where Sydney was at the same time. Olivia saw tension.
“So, I was excited to see you,” Bianca said shyly as she guided Pedro to the bar area and waited for him to sit. Pedro wasn't interested as his eyes were fixed on his prey. Who gave her permission to wear such a dress?
As the annoying woman before him kept bickering non-stop, he was bewitched by Olivia's beauty. Just a look aroused him that he couldn't keep his eyes away.
Bianca seemed to have noticed an upset-minded Pedro. Following his gaze, she saw where his attention was at, anger boiled within her, seeing that Pedro was looking at Olivia. Not just Pedro but her foolish brother Luciano was staring at Olivia with interest in his eyes.
Bianca stormed away from Pedro, angry at herself. She couldn't even get Pedro to notice her, all because of Livia.
“What?” It was Solange who said when Bianca dragged her away from the women she was stuck with and took her somewhere private.
“It's time…that Hannah hasn't shown up, give me that drug now,” Bianca demanded, pacing back and forth angrily, Solange glanced around and hushed her to stop talking.
“Not now… What if,”
“Give it now, I won't let that woman get away… it's time she embarrassed herself in front of people and every man looking at her!” Bianca cut Solange off, she was angered, just seeing Livia taking all the attention.
“Fine, come with me,” Solange said, taking Bianca away.
After some time, both women came back to the party hall, Bianca nodded at a waiter to go ahead. The man approached Olivia and offered her a drink. Olivia, not knowing a thing, took the glass and nodded.
“Great, now let's see how my Pedro looks at her,” Bianca said cheerfully as she waited for the drama to unfold. Meanwhile, she took to the dance floor when her favorite song played. To celebrate her victory, she started dancing in triumph.
