Chapter 8 His possession
“Ms. I don't think…this is serious…I can't let you” the servant she asked for a phone from muttered nervously, shaking her head in denial as she hesitated to give her the phone.
“I won't take much time. I just need to make a small call…let me,” Olivia took the phone from the girl anyway. She didn't understand why everyone was so afraid of Pedro. The way the girl was sweating as if she were left in the fire to burn to death.
“The boss asked us not to give you the phone…please don't…” the girl pleaded, unfortunately, Olivia was already dialing a familiar number. It had been a year. She had much to do, but first, she needed to call someone for help. Yes, it would be hard for the person to recognize her now since she had a different face, but she had to try.
“Come on, pick up damn it,” she cursed when the car went through, but there was no answer. She tried again and still, the person wasn't answering. She was lucky it went through because she thought the person had changed her phone number.
“Come on, pick up,” she tried again and turned the wheelchair towards the window, ignoring the nervous girl shedding tears.
“I'm sure you…” the girl started saying, however, the words died in her mouth when the door opened wide, startling them as they turned to look at who barged in. The phone slipped from Olivia's hand and fell to the floor as her eyes shifted to an angry man standing there. His sharp eyes shifted down to the phone on the floor and then to her. Olivia didn't care, but when.
“Hello…who is this?” a male's voice came from the phone, and Olivia glanced down at the phone. She was about to reach for it when.
“Who asked you to give her the damn phone!” Pedro yelled angrily as he beat Olivia to it and picked up the phone from the floor and smashed it hard against the wall. The servant girl fell to her knees as she wept and pleaded mercilessly. Her boss was angry as he turned his gaze to the woman sitting in her wheelchair.
“Get out!” he shouted loud enough for the servant girl to struggle to get up and ran out of the room.
“Who do you think you are…do you fuck know how dangerous this is?” Pedro said the words through clenched teeth. His eyes shone with rage as he looked at Olivia.
“Who are you to boss me around…I was calling someone…”Olivia said, and tried to move her wheelchair when Pedro grabbed the handles and turned it around. So fast that Olivia was startled at the speed and anger.
“Calling random people is dangerous…are you insane…or just stupid…or were you calling your damned lover who is sleeping around,” he muttered bitterly. The mention of Luciano made her angry, but she didn't dare show her anger.
“I wasn't calling him…but my friend…she only had me to look after her, “Olivia said as she shoved Pedro's hands away from the wheelchair, and she turned it around, “she has a goddamned sick uncle…he's a pervert…I'm afraid of what has become of her now…” her friend had a bad family. She knew how badly that old man treated her friend Sydney. He nearly sold her once to some bad men if not for her and her father's help, and now who knows how Sydney was doing. Pedro's anger vanished upon hearing Olivia. He thought she was calling Luciano, since he heard a man answer the phone.
“What's her name?”Pedro asked because he did not remember ever paying attention to Olivia's friends who didn't matter to her.
“Her name Sydney…please… I'll do whatever you say…just make sure she's alright,” Olivia turned around and said with folded hands. She was trapped here like a prison, hence pleading with the man was the only option.
“Ms. Altamirano…do you understand the words you are saying?” Pedro asked, more shrewd, as his eyes narrowed questionably. Olivia didn't answer right away but drove her wheelchair towards the window. What else did she have to lose?
“Whatever you say, provided that you help me take my revenge,” she said, looking at him with a straight face. Pedro scanned her carefully. There was no life in her eyes. She was like a lifeless body without a soul. He didn't save her to make her weep like a child but to make sure she was still longer than anything both emotionally and physically.
“Then we need to get you out of that wheelchair…I'll send my men to make sure your friend is well taken care of, “Pedro remarked as he took out his phone from his back pocket. Olivia didn't react as she kept her eyes on him.
How could a man be so mysterious? His aura was something that made her have chills.
“How powerful are you and what do you do for a living?” she asked, breaking her trail of thoughts. The man was so sure of himself. Like he was untouchable. Like nothing could happen to him, or he was some god. His moves were predatory.
Pedro paused from sending Zane a message and looked at the lady. Of course, she was bound to ask what he did for a living.
“Nothing…” Pedro replied nonchalantly and turned to his phone screen. Olivia stared at him without blinking. Was he kidding her? She had a chance to explore half of the mansion and so far, everything was not so ordinary for a man who did nothing for a living.
“Are you a businessman?” she asked, still not giving up. Such a young man had everything. It isn't so common, nor was he bathing in family money.
“No” he simply said without even looking at her. Olivia wasn't happy as her eyes narrowed suspiciously. She didn't want to get into a mess with a man who did dirty things just for a luxurious life. His rougher-up appearance didn't look like he spent time in an office.
“Family money?” she asked, peeking at him. And Pedro only let out a sarcastic chuckle, and the room fell into silence. It seemed he didn't inherit anything.
“Are you married…got any kids…lover?” she asked and this time she had a reaction from him…he turned around, and his facial expression was a displeased one.
“Little one, you ask so many questions…how about we keep it confidential…” he said, leaning down to look at her.
“How did you save me…and after how many hours or days?” Olivia asked, ignoring the death glare he was looking at her with. She wanted to know how he saved her just in time. It was a hard fall. The cliff had dead trees. Huge rocks to kill anyone before they even land on the crooked ground. Wasn't it weird that he played a hero and saved her.
“ A little birdie told me…the great Luciano was on a little haunt of a sweet little girl…I didn't believe it until I saw it and I jumped in to save the day”like a boss, the man said, smirking at her as he shoved his phone in his pockets and stood there staring at her. For a second, Olivia wanted to roll her eyes in annoyance but shoved such thoughts aside.
“Why are you helping me?”
“Because I hate Luciano… isn't that obvious… enough with the questions, “Pedro said, feeling irritated with the girl's countless questions. Removed his hands from his pockets. He walked around her until he found the couch and dropped down, crossing his legs elegantly, making Olivia turn her wheelchair around to look at him.
“Since you decided to chase away all the people I hired here to make you well…how about I do this myself” he said with a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips and Olivia's face turned pale. Her throat dry as she looked at him in disbelief.
“We have a month to get you ready…for this… every morning at 8 AM…I expect you in my gym” he added in a serious tone. Olivia was bothered by the way he said the words.
“And what's in it for you?” it still didn't sound right that the man was helping her because he too wanted revenge against the Garcias. If he was that powerful, then why didn't he just ruin the Garcias on his own.
“You are mine, Olivia…” he simply said without hesitation. Olivia's face was even more blank as she stared at his form. She didn't belong to anyone, especially a man. Luciano had his fair share of her. Her body and her heart. He had her love, and he used that to hurt her, but now she was going to hurt Luciano beyond recognition.
