Chapter 85 She's alive
When Olivia finally regained consciousness, her entire body was in perfect agony. Even opening her eyes seemed like a hard job.
“Mm” with all her might, Olivia's arms stretched as if feeling the place, it was cold and her legs and every part of her were hurting. A sharp pain between her thighs caused her to wince as she finally opened her eyes to see an empty room.
“What,” rubbing her eyes a little, she was startled when she tilted her head and found a shirtless Pedro sitting right next to her
“You monster,” she mumbled and slowly dragged her aching body from the side she had been sleeping on and carefully rested her head in his lap.
“Good morning,” Pedro greeted and creased her hair gently, he couldn't help but feel amused at how beautiful she was looking early in the morning. Olivia was too tired and sleepy to say a thing; hence she snuggled to him and tried to relax herself.
“I prepared your bath…come on,” Pedro coaxed, whispering. He knew how tired she was after a rough night, but to get rid of that, she needed to soak in hot water.
“No…no… I don't feel like it… let me be,” the woman mumbled lazily, surprising Pedro. He knew he used her the entire night without stopping. But she was at fault.
“Sweetheart, let's do this,” he tried prying her away from him, but unfortunately , the woman gripped him even tighter, leaving him feeling helpless.
“What did you do to her,” Olivia asked, regaining her strength a little to shift until she was lying halfway and resting her head on his chest. Pedro moved a little just to get comfortable and wrapped his arms around her delicate frame.
“I left that to you, I can't do anything since it's a woman's problem,” he replied while creasing her hair, there was silence between them. Olivia's breathing was steady and a little strained.
“Do you think she deserves to die?” she asked, lifting her head to look at Pedro. His gaze lowered as they both stared at each other.
“She tried to hurt you, I would have killed her right there and then… I'm sure you understand,” he was irritated knowing his woman's life was threatened. Luciano's wife tried to harm Olivia, that was enough reason for him to end her life.
“Not now, I think she needs to watch her lovely family destroyed…,” Olivia was certain Solange hated her. All because of Luciano, at the party, she saw how they tried hard to ruin her. Even to the extent of spiking her drink. Luckily, the waiter they used was one of Pedro's men.
“So you want me to let her go?” Pedro asked, arching his brows at her. Olivia gave a half smile and slowly moved away from him. Luckily, she was wearing a large t-shirt.
“No, I have other plans for her,” she replied with a smile and reached for Pedro's face and caressed his chin. Pedro swore the woman was a million times pretty, he was a sucker for her.
“Anyway I think,” she didn't even finish her words when her stomach grumbled, Olivia was stunned and placed her hand on her going stomach and looked at Pedro with a pout.
“I guess breakfast will work,” he chuckled, stole a quick kiss and left the bed. Immediately, he was out of the room, and Olivia sat upright. Her head was blank, the smile she had on earlier vanished as she dragged her knees-up and wrapped her arms around and rested her chin on her knees.
She had sex with Pedro, something she wasn't ready for. Despite everything, she didn't want this to be just one of Pedro's ways of getting over the urge. The way he was entitled to having any woman in his bed and discarded them.
“It's a waste,” of course she wouldn't get pregnant even if she slept with a million men. At the end of the day, she was useless as a woman. Brushing such thoughts off, Olivia dragged herself off the bed as she waited for Pedro to bring breakfast.
Meanwhile, Pedro was arranging a heavy breakfast for Olivia while busy on his phone.
“Uncle, such things don't matter to me. I think you can do a good job protecting your family from me,” he said irritably, his uncle was two-sided. The fact that he was there when the Garcias decided to ruin lives made Pedro angry. He just gave them a little taste of their medicine, and his uncle was busy calling him nonstop. Disconnecting the call. Pedro tossed the phone away.
With ease, he poured some wine into a glass, not a good idea, but he had no choice. Glancing around, he tossed in a pill and waited for it to melt before he took the tray of food back to the room.

The Entire night, Alfredo and Luciano had done everything to make sure their mother was okay, she was acting crazy and saying things which made no sense.
“Please you need to keep calm, your mother will be fine… I'm sure she just suffered a scare,” the doctor said to Luciano and Alfredo, both men looked as if they had been run over by a bus. Their clothes were wrinkled, and they had dark circles around their eyes.
“She keeps saying she didn't do it… I'm sure mom would never do such a thing,” Alfredo said, shaking his head. His eyes fell on his mom sleeping soundly, after what happened two days ago. They didn't even say a thing to the police. The entire family agreed to keep everything a secret.
“I know it's hard for you, but we need to be cautious… her behavior is unpredictable… if we let her go home, we might be doing a bad thing,” the doctor said, glancing over at his patient. Luciano nodded in agreement. Something was happening to his mother. The fact that she was seeing Olivia made him wonder. He was sure it was just her hallucinations.
“Thank you, doctor… call us if anything is needed,” both Luciano and Alfredo said goodbye and left the room. Although they didn't leave the hospital but headed straight to where Lia was kept. His little sister was shot, but luckily, she was still alive and in critical condition.
“Mom didn't shoot her… I'm sure someone did this,” Luciano said as both men walked down the empty passageway. Alfredo didn't utter a word, knowing someone from the past had come. It was likely Pedro's doing.
“Let's just wait for the police to investigate,” Alfredo said, assuring Luciano, of course, Luciano was already on it. His night was ruined before he even got a chance to talk to Livia. As the men approached Lia's room. They heard a commotion coming from there.
“Stop it now…let her,” Luciano rushed to the bed and shoved the doctors and nurse aside and half sat on the bed.
“I'm sorry, sir…she regained consciousness and started calling out to you,” the doctor informed with heavy breaths. It was difficult to deal with a patient like this. Both Luciano and Alfredo sat on the bed. Their sister was in bad shape.
“Breathe sweetheart. It's okay, now calm down and rest,” Luciano muttered softly, cradling her in his arms. Alfredo rested his hand on her shoulder.
“She ... .mom…ahh,” Lia's breathing had increased, her lips parted when she winced in pain. Luciano coaxed her to keep calm “Mom…didn't…d…shoot,” Lia blurted out with great difficulty, all of them stood around the bed.
“Stop it sweetie… rest for now” Alfredo was concerned, but Lia was struggling to say something. Luciano saw that. Even the doctors noticed.
“No…she's…bro…she's…she isn't dead,” Lia remarked, shaking her head. Luciano moved closer, still lost.
“Lia who's that… don't worry, mom is okay just…”
“She's alive bro…she's…, “Lia didn't even finish her sentence when she collapsed and the machines started beeping, causing the doctors to panic.
“Please sir leave now…nurse show them out!” The doctors ordered the two men to leave the room. Luciano was still confused, he wanted to stay, but the nurse pushed both men out of the room. Alfredo was even as confused.
“Who's alive… she clearly said that,” Alfredo said, the same thing Luciano was wondering about.
