Megayacht
Aubrianne Ivanov
Aubrianne's funds she had access to were rapidly depleting with the m*rijuana she started to smoke during the day to not think about her worries and to help her sleep at night.
Only to wake up the following day and for everything to come crashing down on her again, she would repeat the cycle, choosing to buy marijuana rather than a proper meal.
Sadly, Aubrianne could not think past her mother's death; if a day passed and she so happened to venture beyond her mother's death, the next was how alone she was now.
She had no one she could turn to, not even a shoulder to cry on while they patted her back, consoling her and letting her know everything would get better with time.
Nope, she had no one. And Aubrianne struggled immensely with loneliness, and she had no genuine friends.
Her state of depression had gotten so bad at one point, desperate to ease her emotional torture, she wanted to feel actual pain to focus on.
Aubrianne had grabbed one of her mother's scissors and began vigorously slicing away at her wrist. To her disappointment, the scissors were as dull as a doorknob.
She pressed into her thin skin, applying even more pressure until the skin got a crooked line about an inch long, and crimson-red liquid swelled out of the wound, dripping over.
Because of the physical pain, Aubrianne finally breathed what felt like the first time since her mother's death months ago.
A few days later that evening, she had cried and screamed out after finally looking at herself in the mirror and did not know who that person was staring back at her; she was like a shell of her former self.
Her eyes sunk in, dark circles around them, her cheekbone visible as her cheeks sunk in, her face started to look very hard, and her body very thin and malnourished.
Aubrianne was thankful in the end that she woke up at that moment.
At that moment, it was like something snapped in her, and she felt a strong need to pull herself together and make her mother proud from the grave.
It motivated her; the simple thought of her mother's disappointment, the idea of her mother looking upon her now and seeing her like that, was terrifying.
She knew she needed help!
She showered, changed, went to the school to the head mistress's office, explained her situation, and then begged for a chance to start her semester.
Aubrianne promised she would catch up and that she would take her advice and see the school counselor.
Her state and mother caused her to get better, but she wanted to stay better. The headmistress had given Aubrianne one chance, and that was all she needed.
However, after that, she was still alone in the world, and the first few years of being alone before meeting Jada still affected Aubrianne, but she coped.
She had dealt with it and continued seeing the counselor till the last day she visited campus. Though it was less and less after meeting Jada, however, she still continued to visit once in a while.
And now Aubrianne was counting her blessings, thinking back to how far she had come and how things had changed so much in one week.
She could not wait to see what happened next as she recalled what the flight attendant had said that day when the plane landed.
'Welcome to the Capital Transcendent Lotharios, everyone! May your dreams come true, as this is the land of magic.'
Now her dreams of a father came true, and her dreams of not being alone anymore came true in more ways than one. Aubrianne now had her father, plus Jada and Shawn were stuck with her now, and let's not forget Daniel.
She went from being a loner to having people she could count on in her life, and Jada had been there before. It was with Jada she finally had someone again to pat her on the back and tell her everything would be ok.
Her ride or die!
So, despite the little roadblocks in the form of Christen and Timothy, Aubrianne's heart felt full. She was filled with joy and contentment. She was on cloud nine and did not want to come down. She wanted to stay up there forever.
She did not want anything to change.
Aubrianne and Theo continued to bond as he showed her the vast grounds. They joked around as she shared some of her childhood with him.
However, Aubrianne steered clear of the painful, depressing parts for now.
These grounds included a fifteen-acre lake wrapped around the vast pool area.
The on-site marina has a megayacht parked to explore the surrounding waters, and Aubrianne enthusiastically asked if it was his.
Yes, she knew it was a stupid question, but she wanted to be sure.
"Oh, Dad, I want to have my birthday on that," she said, pointing at it parked there, looking like it cost a good twenty-five million.
Though her birthday was four months away in November.
"You don't own a dealership with every type of transportation you can think of and not have a few of your own, now, can you?" Theo asked her with a grin, and she rolled her eyes.
"I never knew you were the type to gloat until tonight, Dad," Aubrianne asked, also recalling her night. In all the years she had admired Mr. Thornton from a distance, she never pegged him for the type to gloat about his wealth.
"I am usually not," Theo says and shrugs, "but you baby girl, it's you; because of you, I have been gloating all night, haven't I?"
Aubrianne laughs, "Because of me, huh? That's the answer you are going with?" She asked incredulously.
"Hey, it's because of you. I have a reason to gloat, so let me be ok, Bri Bri," Theo teases.
"And now," Aubrianne arched an eyebrow in question.
"Well, now it is because of you as well; I want you to know everything your father owns," Theo explains.
And that was good enough for Aubrianne because if it was to impress her, she was hoping she did not have to keep reminding him, but she guessed he had already heard it enough from her, and then there was what Mr. Grey had said.
The pool area was a romantic spread. There was metal fencing coated in gold separating the two.
The white lounge chairs looked like they were floating in the water on one side of the pool. However, there was a clear decking-type structure beneath the water holding the lounge chairs and strong enough to hold the weight of those who would venture to relax. You can also see the water beneath your feet.
All around the pool had more of those white lounge chairs.
A fully stocked, long L-shaped bar ran alongside the poolhouse, and the pool was topped off with a jacuzzi that heated up. Aubrianne had decided then and there where she would be soaking when this tour was over.
They met the group lounging about, having a good time chatting away with Timothy and Daniela off to the side.
Aubrianne finally got to see the rear and front gardens, with the waterfall fountains at both.
They had paused and taken several selfies at picturesque locations like these, and that was everywhere they went.
Out here also includes three tennis courts and a series of golf cart paths. Theo had mentioned the golf and tennis areas were where he brokered many deals and showed her his lucky tennis racket and golf club.
Theo was also excited about teaching her how to play, as she would soon be brokering some deals herself; he was eager to show her the ropes and teach her everything.
He had also shown Aubrianne the four caretaker's cottages.
Now the rest of the inside was a different story, and Aubrianne did not know if the outside was better or inside. She simply could not decide!
Across its thirty-one thousand and eight hundred square feet is a theater, a vast ballroom that can hold thousands. Aubrianne almost had a mini heart attack at the size of it, and she had a vivid imagination of the inside of this ballroom next two weeks.
"Oh my goodness, look at in here," Aubrianne breathes again, eyes wide as saucers for the umpteenth time tonight. It was the billiards room full of all the recreational activities you could think of.
It was a billiards room on steroids.
