Night of the Ball - Divine Beauty - 7
Aubrianne Ivanov
Ron's eyes widened as he gasped in the air, and the reality that a hand was in his chest turned his features ashy.
He paled before their eyes.
Zayne pushed him into the room, naked as he was born, and Aubrianne's cheeks flushed red as she watched him from his solid and sexy toes, then slowly moved up his ripped carves, firm legs, and muscular thighs.
Thighs that can crush a man to death. 'Oooohhhh, HOTT,' she thought. She stopped at his length. Oh, Goddess. Her eyes widen.
She would have been grasping and clutching at her chest if her hands were free.
Aubrianne's core clenched. She swallowed only air, squeezed her thighs together as she felt her juices warming her core and soaking her thongs, and was immediately embarrassed she did not use her quick thinking to mask her arousal, entirely taken by surprise.
She was still mad at her mate, and this damn mate bond was working over time. It was a traitor to her being.
Zayne tilted his head, nose flaring as he gazed at his mate, amused. And the fight between him and Aragorn ensued, his eyes changing color as he explained to Aragorn this was not the time.
However, he was also tempted as he felt his manhood stir under the heat of her gaze and the deliciousness of her arousal. Zayne was sure she tasted like pure sin.
And suddenly, he wanted to lap every drop of those juices up.
Quickly getting back to the scene at hand. Zayne crushed those thoughts down, shoved Ron into the room, and pulled his hand out.
Zayne's lips curled as he scowled at Ron.
Not missing a beat while his heated gaze slid back to his mate. Zayne swipes his hand out and slits Ron's throat.
Ron desperately clutched his neck, attempting to prevent the blood from falling like a fountain gushing out of his neck, wide eyes as he dropped to the bedroom floor with a thud.
Blood squirted from his neck and poured all over and on the floor.
And Aubrianne's pvssy clenched again, this time at the sheer power and the deadly look in her mate's eyes, his sexy eyebrows pinched, eyes dimmed.
She did not even spare a glance at Ron. He got what was coming, stupid fool. He should have stayed in Clifton Hill.
Zayne quickly freed Aubrianne.
It was awkward with Zayne's naked form in front of her, crouched to rip off the chain and slice her tie straps. He burnt his hand, but that was nothing for Zayne.
He quickly healed. However, one thing they both realized was that Aubrianne was immune. She was surprised because she learned silver soaked in peak ash was deadly to a werewolf.
It drains them and also burns them. Peak ash on its own is enough to weaken a werewolf if melted, mixed correctly, and can be injected straight into one's bloodstream.
She had initially thought that the idiot did not use a silver chain. As she did not feel the burn. Now that her mate had been burnt, she and Zayne both realized Aubrianne was immune.
And suddenly, they were both intrigued and confused.
Nevertheless, they were both quickly jolted out of their matching curious gaze when their skin touched, and where he touched her, erupted in tiny warm, comforting sparks of electricity.
Zayne also felt it on his fingertips. He then quickly rummaged through a bag and, as suspected, jackpot. Cleaned clothes.
He pulled on a plain black jersey and a pair of blue jeans.
Aubrianne wanted to grab him immediately, run her fingers through his hair, and kiss his lips, tasting her hunk of a mate. She wanted to melt into his embrace, and that annoyed her.
She was supposed to be upset!
She eyed her mate, arching an eyebrow, "I had everything under control before you came barging in, you know?" She huffed.
Zayne was so amused at his sassy mate that he did not know if to laugh or kiss her. A raised eyebrows, he challenged, well that was how Aubrianne took it, "Yea, sure, tied to a chair and all."
The corner of his lips twitched into a smile as he gestured to the chair she was tied to and still sitting on.
When Aubrianne's features changed, her eyebrows pinched, and her eyes dimmed. How dare he mock her? She would show him who was really in charge here.
Her mate was really getting under her skin. Oh, but she knew why!
She gently unclasped her necklace, the one that she never took off. Never taking her eyes off her handsome mate.
She squared her shoulders and stood before him. Feet apart from each other. When Zayne's knees buckled, he forced himself to stay upright, but her domineering aura pushed him down to submit.
However, it was a force that made him want to fall to his knees and surrender to her.
Only getting a reprieve when she gently clasped her necklace back on, Zayne rose onto his feet and straightened his shoulders, his face unreadable, "Ok, you made your point. Now let's get out of here."
Zayne was totally amazed by his mate's power. Aragorn boasted that a strong and powerful wolf needs a powerful mate. While he was completely enamored by his mate.
He was quickly falling hard and fast. His mate was beautiful, sexy as hell, and funny, as she amused him. Fiesty, and the night was still young.
He was curious to experience the process of getting to know his little mate.
Meanwhile, Aubrianne was beyond irritated.
She had welcomed this little free time away from everything, and now he was cutting her little vacation time short.
Now she had to head back and face everyone and everything, and what the hell was going on between her mate and her father? "What is with you and my father?"
Fixing her dress, she walked out of the room, turning her head up in the other direction of his offered hand. She can walk just fine.
Zayne chuckled, still in awe of his mate and her antics, but he answered, "Long story... but we have the rest of our lives for that."
Zayne intends to inform her of this, but it is also tied into why he was here, which he was not ready to discuss.
Fearing, he scared away his little mate.
Zayne had yearned for his mate, had always wondered if he would ever meet her, and even contemplated Mekhi's words about dating and mating once or twice. But here she was, a divine beauty.
This was overwhelming for Aubrianne. She never in her life had wanted to rip somebody's clothes off as much as this, and she imagined throwing herself wantonly at her mate.
But no. Aubrianne fought to control herself. She scolded herself, as she did not know 'his' situation. And how dare he talk about the rest of their lives? Did he think she would be a 'Christen?' Ha.
"Let's take his car," she huffed, reaching Ron's beat-down accord and sitting in the front seat, and when Zayne got in and was about to assist her with her seatbelt, she snapped, "Back off."
Her wolf was out. She knew her eyes changed color by his reaction, 'I smelt a female on him,' Leia whimpered again. She had wholly locked off Aragorn.
'Weren't you, not all team 'mate'?' Aubrianne found this hilarious, now suddenly, but she was just as crushed at the realization that her fears were coming true. She could not bother to continue mocking Leia.
Despite the mate bond betraying her, she felt like she had no control, really, as it was a constant fight against the need to give in.
Aubrianne's body silently shook as her heart broke into a million pieces. She stared out the window and quietly steeled herself.
"Zayne, by the way, Alpha Zayne Steele," Zayne realized. They had not introduced themselves, wholly lost in their body's reactions to each other and their thoughts.
He was a bit embarrassed, but it was the same with her too. "Aubrianne Ivanov...well, Thornton now, my dad changed my last name... I found out tonight."
Aubrianne was shaken out of her raging thoughts, "Zayne," "Aubrianne." They spoke at the same time, calling out each other's names. Testing how it rolls off their tongues effortlessly.
His name sounded so good coming from her lips, Zayne thought. It stirred his inner beast.
While in Aubrianne's case, her name from his lips raised her pores, quickened her heartbeat, and she gasped for air and swallowed.
