Experience things the same!
Daniel Grey
Daniel could not look at her right now because he knew he would cave, and he was pretty upset. He deserved to be angry at her. He would not let her ease her way out of this.
"Daniel, I am so sorry. I did not think..." She sighed heavily, shaking off the words coming out next.
"And it's no excuse...I have no excuse for my actions, Daniel. Please look at me…." She reached out and gently held his face and turned it to her.
"Can you forgive me? It won't happen again; trust me, Daniel, I can't lose you!" Aubrianne pleads, looking into his beautiful blue hurt eyes.
She felt terrible! And she did not want to lose him as a friend. Just in case he was considering putting any distance between them.
But what she wanted to say was, 'I did not think you would refuse me, but she had held her tongue,' Aubrianne could not comprehend why.
Aubrianne did not understand why he would refuse her to such lengths.
Daniel cupped her face, and he was back. That was all it took. "It's ok. I forgive you." Aubrianne's heart soared in her chest at Daniel's forgiveness.
Closing his eyes for a second, Daniel said, "But please don't ever do that to me again!" He warned her!
"I promise I won't do it again," Aubrianne agreed. He did not have to tell her twice. She understood all too well when she was not wanted.
That was one thing she knew intimately.
Daniel regarded her momentarily as she sat beside him at the end of the bed.
He said, "I completely get that this is all new to you, especially how powerful you are now, and your commands are even more so." Daniel paused, ensuring Aubrianne was following his words.
"A white wolf can command any magical being, even if they are not from their community or initiated. You need to be careful with your commands, Aubri!"
He reached out and took her hands in his, soothingly stroking the back of her palms.
Aubrianne followed his actions, "This is serious, do you understand?" Daniel asked.
"Yes, I do understand," Aubrianne says, then after a quiet moment, she adds, "But, what I don't understand is, why would you want to refuse? It is my decision to choose who I want to give my virginity to! So what if I am a virgin? I would really like to know why?"
Daniel's eyes widened at Aubrianne's question, and he looked on incredulously. What? Daniel could not believe Aubrianne was asking this question.
Nevertheless, "I believed you would have regretted it when the deed was over, and you came down from your haze or when the alcohol left your system."
"Oh, f**k it." She snatches her hand away from Daniel's and gestures upwards. Bringing her hands down at ...
"Why does everyone keep making decisions for me? Aubrianne stressed. She then fisted her hands and dug into the bed.
Daniel looked like she slapped him, "But you looked relieved, Aubri...so now I am confused because you looked relieved earlier that the deed did not go down, and guess what? You would have been mad at me."
Daniel responds, pointing at his chest when he says 'me,' getting angry again. Was she crazy?
My relieved look? Aubrianne laughed like a maniac as soon as she realized what he was referring to, further cementing Daniel's worry, "Oh goodness, Daniel, my relieved look?" She watched him as if he had grown two heads.
"My relieved look was when you started breathing better and seemed to improve. Aubrianne shouted angrily at the end! I felt bad after what I had done, Daniel!"
Aubrianne was pissed beyond now. Not only did he make a decision for her which she was getting tired of, but it was also her father, Jada, and now Daniel.
Everyone just needs to stop making decisions for her without her knowing. At least treat her like an adult long enough to have the conversation.
And now here was Daniel deciding what her relieved appearance was about!
Daniel felt horrible about his assumption but was not backing down on his earlier stance. He would have done the same because he thought she deserved better.
"Listen, Aubri, forgive me for my assumptions." Shaking his head at himself, he chuckles, then continues seriously, "However, I am standing by my decision about your virginity!"
Daniel explains, yet, his eyes cannot refrain from looking down at her robe-blocking honeypot at v*rginity.
"But why, though?" Aubrianne asked incredulously, giving him her hand expressions again.
"But why not? Daniel asked even more incredulously.
"I am ready, I know I am, and I am prepared to have sex just like every other adult and experience things the same!" Aubrianne huffs.
Then she quickly added, "Leia, my wolf had mentioned earlier that we should save ourselves for our mate, but was he saving himself for us?" Aubrianne explained, then asked, tilting her head as she awaited Daniel's response.
"Listen, I think it should be meaningful and not some one-night stand. That is all I will say about it," Daniel stated, lifting his hands in defense while kicking himself, wondering what he would have done if he had this information prior!
He was not about to gauge the topic on mates, given how he felt towards Aurbianne.
"Fine, I am really over this conversation about my v*rginity. I certainly would not be asking you next time. Now can we talk about something else?"
Aubrianne says as she pulls her robe tighter and crawls back up the bed, moving to the headboard.
Leaving Daniel at the foot of the bed looking like someone told a younger version of him that his favorite pet had died!
F*cking hell, what a night. Now she would not ask him AGAIN. So she would be looking for someone to...
Daniel painstakingly pushed himself up and laid sideways beside her, head propped on his hand.
He refused to finish that thought! "Ok, then, tell me what I missed yesterday." His eyes slid to her, "So, your wolf's name is Leia. How is she?" Daniel started the conversation.
Aubrianne did a little shimmy to shake off the last half an hour or so. Clearing her mind and mood, she then gladly updated Daniel on yesterday's event, from waking to unpacking to finding her mother's box to reading the letter to the vial of green liquid!
"There was one thing that I found strange," Aubrianne had said with a faraway look.
"Yea? And what was that?" Daniel enquired.
"There were five small vials of a green liquid, any idea what that could be?" Aurbianne informs. She then asks.
Daniel thought momentarily, then said, "No, I haven't the slightest idea."
"Oh, just thought I should ask, but I believe the details are in my mother's diary," Aubrianne concluded and continued giving Daniel the tea.
Aubrianne quickly picked up her trail from the green liquid, then tracked back to explaining her experience when she read the words on the box.
Then to her stressing when she felt the headache coming on again, she eventually reached out to him, but when he did not answer, she called his father next.
She continued with Mr. Grey helping her through the change, to her wolf introducing herself, to getting to meet and talk to her father all in one day.
"It was a lot, Daniel." Aubrianne breathes out, then says, "Tonight's clubbing was welcomed for more reasons than one, and I am happy that I got to enjoy myself."
Daniel, who was playing with the hem of Aubrianne's robe, offered, "Yea," he exhaled, "Aurbianne, that is a lot for anyone, and I am glad that you indeed had a goodnight."
"I must apologize for how it ended, though. I am such a fool." Daniel says, then laughs it off.
'Yes, such a fool! Cassius agreed.
But before he can respond to his wolf, "Hey, Daniel? Look," turning her body to face him, "I am truly sorry for what happened earlier, and I can understand why you took that stance and reacted the way you did. I may not have liked it, but I understood it."
"Plus, I just would like the people that care about me and make decisions on my behalf to consult me or let me in on it also, you know." Tilting her head, she hoped he understood where she was coming from.
Aubrianne needed to make that clear, as Daniel was her Beta, and they would not start that relationship off with him keeping things from her and deciding on his own.
Daniel tilts his head towards her and answers, "Oh, Aubri, don't stress," he pats her legs, "It is ok about the command. I understand that you were not aware."
She exhaled, and after a moment, she said, "Ok, so what are your plans for the day?"
Aubrianne realized the sun was coming up and figured she should also be getting some rest.
From day one, Cassius had been adamant about Daniel not making any moves on Aubranne and that he should wait on his mate, so surely, Daniel instantly backtracked to his wolf, 'I am sorry. What now?' Daniel asked, confused. Like what?
Cassius gets upset when Daniel talks about Aubrianne, and now he agrees that Daniel was a fool for not giving in to Aubrianne?
