Chapter 13
“I’m all ears bes, anything for you”, Susan tried to ease the tension.
“I’m d**n serious Suxzy, not kidding at all”, Claire said with a straight face.
“Geez, chill, OK I’m serious now, so shoot”, Susan still calming the tension between them.
“it’s about my brother”, Claire said calmly
“oh.. What happened to him, is he OK?”, Susan said expectantly.
“No, he’s not ill or in a Coma or any of that”, Claire responded
“oh.. Thank God and goodness”, Susan said as she uses her hand to make a Cross sign from her head to her shoulder.
“But I think I need to keep watching him to protect him”, Claire said
“Really, why is that?, is he a gangster now or what?”, Susan wondering
“no! I’m f**King serious about this, is everything a joke to you?”, Claire said angrily.
“I’m serious as well, I was just wondering about the possible problem”, Susan responded.
“so tell me what the problem is”, Susan asked.
“I think the ladies in brother’s life are complicating my brother’s love life which sometimes makes him not with himself”, Claire said
“as to how? I don’t seem to understand you”, Susan a bit confused.
“the ex-girlfriends he has dated seem to be messing him up as we speak because my brother could not think straight, the last time out, I came to his office to see him drunk and he was telling me some of his girlfriends hacked his phone to send a message from his phone to themselves and accused him of sending it and that day I looked for him till I almost went crazy”, Claire said as she sobs with ingenuity.
“Oh my!.. Claire that’s deep… and why don’t you just tell him about it?”, Susan trying to console the fake sobbing of Claire.
“he has been ignoring me lately and that is the reason why I was hiding earlier”, Claire created lies.
“Wait a sec.. He was here?”, Susan asked.
“yeah, with one of his girlfriends, they probably came for a date without letting me know about it”, Claire said
“But did your brother have to tell you before going on a date with someone?, or I don’t seem to understand you”, Susan a bit confused.
“No, it is not that but I think after what happened the last time out when I met him drunk over all of them, I think I deserve to know if he is going out with any one of them”, Claire responded.
“I think you made a valid point, so how am I supposed to help you then?”, Susan asked.
“I know you are a hacker, so I am hoping you could hack some of my brother’s stuff and I could keep in touch with him wherever he is any day and anytime”, Claire suggests
“…uhmmm… “, Susan goes mute as she is deep in thought.
“Please say something Suxzy, I really need your help”, Claire said persistently.
“but are you sure about this? is this the best option you have?”, Susan said as she is still sceptical about it.
“Yes, please I don’t want to lose my brother”, Claire said as she fakes her emotions.
“I also don’t want you to lose your brother because I know he is next to the only family you have at moment but me invading your brother’s privacy is way out of line for me and it is against my principle”, Susan said
“so you want me to lose my brother because you can’t go against your principle?... Please just leave me alone and let me get to the restroom to wash up my face”, Claire said as she fakes the emotions to the restroom.
At the prison, as Moses, Will and Gomez are discussing;
“what! That’s insane, you also know the number of men he has around and these men are willing to die for him as well”, Moses said
“I know he has a lot of men but then we have to figure something out else we will probably be serving him till we get out of here, which could be decades”, Gomez said.
“I’m not having a decade here anymore”, Will said
“I know Will, not everyone has less than a decade”, Gomez said
“True…, but you suggesting the death of Bernado is not an easy task to do”, Moses said
“I know, that’s the reason why we have to form a pact of alliance with other crews if we want to get this done”, Gomez said
“Gomez please let’s talk about this”, Will said.
“Will, this is the right thing to do”, Gomez said.
“you know what? I think you guys should give me some time to think about this, I will call for you afterwards for my decision”, Moses said.
At the coffee shop as Claire left for the restroom, Susan begins to think on her own as she said to herself;
“I’m not supposed to do this anymore, I have already promised myself a long time ago that I will not use my expertise to steal or invade people’s privacy because it is another way of hurting people, but I don’t know what to do now that my best friend needs my help”.
After Susan have thought about the situation both ways for some minutes, she decided to go to the restroom to meet Claire.
Claire who sees Susan immediately she enters through the mirror begins to sob again in pretence. Susan sees Claire in this way and believes Claire is hurting in her heart, so she just has to help her best friend irrespective of her principle.
“Bes, I think I would help you out!”, Susan said
“Suxzy, really! You are the best”, Claire said as she hugs Susan tightly.
“Yeah, I just think I should be able to help my best friend who needs me”, Susan said calmly
“Thanks a lot”, Claire said because she believes her plans are already becoming more solid than ever.
“now can we be happy again?”, Susan asked as she laughs exorbitantly.
“Of course Suxzy”, Claire said as they hug each other.
They both went back to their table after they have settled things in the restroom, as they are about to discuss the plans of what and which items would be needed to protect Mason from Susan’s point of view.
“Firstly, I think I have some sophisticated button cameras that we could use by putting them in strategic places because that’s part of the ways to spy on Mason without detection from him”, Susan explained
“wow! That’s cool, I knew you have some tricks up your sleeves as well”, Claire said
“Thanks, and secondly I will have to hack his phone front and rear camera so you can also see whatever he is seeing through his phone”, Susan explained
“Nice one Suxzy”, Claire is happy about what she’s hearing.
“Lastly, I will have to hack his messaging app because he might be receiving some messages about locations of places he has to meet people through the application”, Susan said
“Thanks, Suxzy, it seems that you have this all planned out for me, I love you because you are my hero”, Claire showing her happiness.
“you are always welcome bes, although I can supply you the button cameras tomorrow but the hacking of your brother’s phone might take a while”, Susan said as she sip a cup of coffee.
“No problem Suxzy, I will wait because I know you can do it”, Claire said teasingly.
“Awnnn… don’t make me blush,” Susan said.
They both catch up a little more about old times for a couple of minutes until they both decided to leave. Claire escorts Susan to get a cab as she gets another cab as well that’s is heading to her brother’s house.
In the other scene, Mason and Jasmine got to Mason’s apartment quite early after they met at the coffee shop because they could not hold their sexual urge for long.

After some minutes, Mason stepped out of the bathroom with his towel around his waist which makes Claire more curious and asks,
“where is other person?”.
“she is coming, relax sis it’s not a cause for alarm”, Mason calming his sister.
“it’s OK, I’m just curious to know who my brother has been hiding from me all this while”, Claire said.
“I’m not hiding any..”, Mason got interrupted as Jasmine also came out of the bathroom and Claire saw Jasmine with her astonishing hips in Mason’s second towel that Claire usually uses when she’s at Mason’s place.
Claire was a bit mute because she thought Jasmine left to go to her place after the meeting at the coffee shop earlier.
Claire is watching every word before she speaks because she did not want Jasmine to suspect her for anything after they greeted each other.
Jasmine is also uncomfortable with the situation because she could see Claire in her boyfriend’s bedroom and she reminds Jasmine each time of how hard her brother(Richard) got heartbroken by her.
Mason who is still clueless about what Claire did to Richard could not help but notice the silent long face on Jasmine which makes him ask ;
“what’s wrong babe?”.
“not now Mace”, Jasmine responded as she developed a new romantic name for Mason.
“I will tell you about it when we are alone”, Jasmine said as she knows Claire is still in the bedroom with them.
Will Jasmine tell Mason the truth? …
