Chapter 2

Jasmine looks shocked and Claire was shocked as well but for different reasons. Jasmine was shocked that she could still see both Mason and Claire after the last time and Claire was shocked because Richard who was her ex-boyfriend and a friend to her brother was sitting close to them because she told some lies to her brother about the situation and now she has a task of not letting a conversation about her occur between them during the three hours flight .

Unlike Mason, Richard did the introductions and now Mason was shocked because Jasmine is the sister of Richard and Claire was shocked again because she no idea she offended two siblings at once.

At the la Christi state prison where Will is living at moment, Will has made friends and foes within his ten years in prison but has he made more friends than foes? and he knows the prison rules of this particular prison so well. Before Nate comes to prison, there has always been a ‘top dog’ called Bernado.

Bernado who is a Portuguese-American use to run the prison drugs and human trafficking with the way he could influence the prison Warden due to the kind of high profile contacts he has outside the prison.

Bernado has been convicted twice for the same offence to the state which is being a drug Lord and human trafficking and none of his convictions has been less than ten years, Bernado at some point even helps inmate to get out of the prison for a short period of time but only for a price they have to pay otherwise death is their option.

The person that died which Will saw at the entrance of his prison room was Tarkowski and he got a favor to go out of the prison for some family reasons and he failed not to payback Bernado.

Bernado sent one of his prison men “Blade” to kill Tarkowski which was successful. The success of this mission is not the issue Will has but what comes afterwards because according to the prison rule, who so ever meet a dead inmate at the entrance of his prison room is the next person to carry out the kill order of Bernado and Will has been avoiding to see any dead inmate at the entrance of his room for the past ten years with the help of his friend Gomez.

Gomez who is a Mexican-American was convicted for theft and armed robberies in various financial institutions.

Gomez and Will met five years ago after Gomez got beaten by one of Bernado’s men for not washing the clothes of Bernado. Ever since this incident, Bernado has been keeping his eyes on Will and Gomez because Will and Gomez seem not to work for anyone or be on anyone’s side in the prison and yet they are relaxed more than others.

The security guards of the prison come forth after Will went to report what he saw at the entrance of the prison room to one of the guards.

In the plane, Jasmine hugged Mason and give him a peck on the lips while Claire shake Richard even though Richard feels a bit weird about it because they have had sex before when they were together.

In some minutes, the flight take off and Jasmine and her Brother were having a conversation when Richard told Jasmine that Claire was is ex-girlfriend and told her how Mason have been cold towards him after the break – up.

Jasmine then tell her brother about the one night stand she had with Mason on the beach which made Richard furiously shocked and he said;

“ now I see why you were surprised earlier".

Richard told Jasmine to give him some time process it.

Meanwhile, Mason and Claire sitting behind them had their earphones on loud volumes which made it possible for them not to hear Richard and Jasmine conversation in front of them.

Although Claire is keeping eyes on Mason and Richard even though she really needs to sleep because she was up all night for sexual reasons. Mason sensed the tension going on with his sister and he asked her why she was afraid but she could not say anything so he just consoled Claire with a hug and Claire liked the hug so much that she forgot Mason was her brother. Mason then told her in her ears;

“don’t be scared he can’t do anything to you now”.

Will was summoned by Bernado through one of Bernado’s prison men and Bernado said;

“seems you are finally next in line to do my bidding”

“Yes, I think so”, Will responds

“relax mate, I will call you anytime”, Bernado said.

Will left the presence of Bernado with some great amount of fear because he is afraid of being killed if he did not carry out Bernado’s orders even though he is yet to receive any orders from Bernado.

However, Jasmine is beginning to lose patience with her brother giving her the silent treatment and she was about to suggest that they should talk about what happened with Mason and Claire but she did not have enough courage to tell her brother about it yet so she decided to be a little bit patient with her brother.

After an hour the flight attendants served the lunch which is more of a brunch and a slice. After the lunch they all slept for an hour except for Claire who is pretending to be seeing a movie rather than a neighborhood watch over her brother and Richard.

After an hour, Mason, Richard and Jasmine woke up just few minutes after one another.

Jasmine has summoned enough courage in her sleep and told her brother to talk to Mason about What happened between the four of them.

Richard replied quietly to Jasmine that he doubt it if Mason will even honor the meeting because Mason is not talking to him anymore.

Jasmine then thought to herself that she could decide to get Mason’s contact and set up the meeting herself but Richard still has no clue.

It is already less than an hour, the eagle eyes of Claire is becoming relaxed because she sees it as it will soon be over any moment from now.

Suddenly, Jasmine passed her phone to the back towards Mason with the number key pads open even though the phone is in airplane mode.

Mason was a bit surprised to see that but he typed his number anyway and Richard asked why she did that and she replied that she wants to set up the meeting herself.

Meanwhile, when Mason typed his number on Jasmine’s phone Claire said;

‘oh shit’

because she’s got more worries than ever now.

Claire is worried that the truth of what happened between her and Richard might be revealed through Jasmine and Jasmine might be the other woman that will take Mason away from her.

The flight landed in Austin, Texas in a matter of moments and they got their luggage and Mason decided to help Jasmine with some of her luggage as well because he’s got a trolley and Claire became furious the more in her mind.

Jasmine departed when she took a cab to her apartment which gave Claire some temporal relief. Claire followed Mason to his apartment first before going to her own apartment which was normal to Mason because he knows how much she’s found of him.

On getting to the apartment, Mason received a message from Jasmine while he was in the bathroom and Claire was in the bedroom with his phone

Respectively Will has just been summoned by Bernado again and Will heart is pounding really hard because it might be the order to kill he is about to receive.
