Memorial Complex was famous for its vintage item sale yearly at the Purple Festival.
Out of its hundred floors, the last three floors were reserved for auction.
Typically, the items on the 98th floor were sold for more than ten million, 99th for more than a hundred million.
The 100th floor would only be opened conditionally if it was an item worth more than a billion.
Even though there were trillionaires in the economy, buying a vintage item for more than a billion was too rare.
So, the auction house on the 100th floor was mostly used as a tourist attraction.
"The seats here can soothe minds and heal minor ailments." Sarah marveled as she probed the exquisite grey chairs arranged in an arc across the auction stage.
"We have better chairs." Varian winked at Sarah. Even though the chairs here were excellent by themselves, compared to the ones he 'borrowed' from the deva library, they were trash.

'Ugh…why isn't your body listening to you?' Sia said in a joking tone, but the way she clenched her fists behind her back showed how she was truly feeling.
'I'll give you the potion. Let's see what happens. About making a potion from your blood, Enigma will need to appear.'
Varian's expression stiffened hearing Enigma's name and he hurriedly waved his hand. 'Let's talk about that later. Haha.'
Sia sighed after seeing his strained smile and shifted the topic. 'The distance between us reduced…'

Sarah and Sia skipped these floors before and Varian felt that they should at least take a look.
"…you didn't even like anything on the 99th floor," Sia grumbled.
They were on the fiftieth floor now. Varian's reputation seemed to have spread as the stall owners gave them weird looks.
"I don't know. I might find—Woah!" Varian suddenly exclaimed and rushed to a stall.
His trembling finger pointed at a rather plain white box except for the picture of crashing waves on a beach under a purple sky.

"I'll buy it!"
Hearing another voice at the same time, Varian turned to his right and saw the young lady he praised for bargaining.
